Very clean, good location, pretty close to centre in a nice well-kept area with shops and bars, restaurants all nearby. Less noisy and busy than Barri Gothic area. Very friendly and helpful staff, able to assist with everything. Nice pool with relaxing areas around. Sauna in our apartment. Lovely old features in our apartment. Good air conditioning everywhere.

We were a little disappointed that our apartment (which was booked for 2 adults and 2 children) had one bedroom and the children’s beds were in the communal area rather than a separate room. Not really enough dining table seating in this communal area for 4 people either. It was not clear that this is what we were going to get at the time of booking.

Location is great to walk to the key attractions and good restaurants. The room was nice, spacious with new furnishings.

Most staff were lovely but they were stingy in only providing one sachet of dishwashing liquid for a 4 night stay and telling us we couldn’t have any more. It seemed a strange thing to be stingy on. On our last night one of the receptionists also knocked on our door at 10:30pm after we’d al gone to sleep to say there had been a noise complaint - we, including our two young children had been asleep for an hour as we had an early flight the next day. He insisted on walking through the apartment to ‘check’ including walking through the room my kids were clearly fast asleep in. It wasn’t ok.

Good breakfast, 24 hour manned reception. Good air conditioning, good location. The sofa bed was made up for when we arrived after midnight so our children could go straight to sleep (thank you!).

The bed wasn’t as comfortable as you would expect for a 4* hotel. The family room wasn’t that large once you opened out the sofa bed. The pool was cold, albeit it was October, my children cried when they jumped in and realised that their ideas of swimming were not to be.

The room had a private patio with 2 lounge chairs and an outside tub which was a perfect place to enjoy the late September sunshine. It seemed like we were the only guests at the hotel (even tho it was fully booked). The staff went above and beyond to help us with anything we asked for. The service was exceptional. The public areas (lounge, pool, courtyard off pool) of the hotel were comfortable and peaceful. They also had a fantastic collection of African art.

I would add an extra garbage bin to the room. The AC fan could have been a little stronger.

The hotel was great! I had a fantastic stay. The location was perfect and the staff were incredibly friendly! The room was very comfortable and I would rate the cleanliness 10 stars. I requested to be moved to a quieter room and the front desk reception staff made this happen immediately and were very professional.

The cleaning staff in the morning were very loud... at 7:30 in the morning there was shouting and talking outside the bedrooms which was very disturbing. This is my only complaint that the cleaning staff need to be more mindful of guests! Peace and quiet is important when you are on holiday!

Great breakfast. Lots of room. I appreciated the laundry service option. The hotel was close to things I visited like the Sagrada and Parc Guell. It was nice having all day access to a pool during those hot Barcelona days. Fantastic interior with the artifacts and also having artwork in the rooms.

No major complaints. The breakfast could have been available a little earlier in the mornings (I missed the breakfast one day when I had an early start to my day), and the restaurant could have been open more hours in general. But overall, no major complaints.

The hotel was in a nice neighborhood close to Casa Mia, Casa Battlo, shops and restaurants (for the one who will use train from the airport, the nearest metro station was 600m away) The room was clean and big enough. The hotel's lobby area and the seating area by the pool were very comfortable and cozy. In general, the hotel and rooms had a nice decoration. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There was a convenience store right around the corner that was open late which was helpful to stay hydrated through the night :)

It would be convenient to have a kettle or a coffee machine in the room. The pool was clean but it was too small like a child pool.

Great size room for the price. The executive room is actually a suite. The room is actually the second floor of an old apartment building on Carrer de Balmes. Yes the hotel is located in several buildings and it was a bit of a maze to get to my room. The staff were very helpful. The safe didn't work at first so someone came up to fix it. I left my charger when I checked out but they held it for me when I returned to Bcn the following week. I shall definitely stay here again

Rooms were excellent, staff very helpful. We met friends for a 3 week tour so we spent time in lots of hotels. Balme was one of the most comfortable and well located. Easy to get to all the major attractions. As a group we did not eat in the hotel but my husband did and thought it was the best breakfast he had all trip.

Coffee available in the room or registration would have been a nice touch. We wanted to sit out by the pool for drinks (we brought our own) but the hotel would not allow us to consume our own beverages. We were forced to buy their wine. While I can understand their wanting the customer to spend money on their drinks they were a bit too ridged in their policy.

My stay at the hotel was great. The room was cozy and had everything I needed. Room service was quick and available late, which was a nice bonus. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place to others!

I enjoyed my stay overall, but I encountered an issue upon departure. After realizing I left behind my MacBook charger, I promptly called and followed up with an email, yet received no response. It would have been appreciated to receive the same level of service post-stay as during my visit. While the hotel is situated in a beautiful neighbourhood, it's worth noting that walking to nearby attractions might not be feasible for everyone, as it's not that centrally located.
