He does everything with his heart and what an awesome personality =) super helpful, knowledgeable, welcoming and gave us an incredible overview of Barcelona with a map as soon as we arrived. - check-in: also organized with Andrea, that was very flexible with my arrival plans considering I was coming from a roadtrip nearby. - location: couldn't be better, the neighborhood feels safe different than other areas from Barcelona, supermarket in the corner, walking distance to Sagrada Familia and so many attractions (Casa Batlo is only 800m), easy access to public transport. - AC: I don't remember using it. - shower: good shower. - kitchen: well equiped kitchen and good organization for storage of each room. - outside area: the outside area is wonderful, and some rooms (as #3) have direct access to it, including a little private space (which is the part advertised as "terrace").

Just to consider: - The bathroom could get a deeper cleaning. - Soap dispenser could be improved for easier use when showering.

The guesthouse was a great “home” base for our stay in Barcelona. Our host was super friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed meeting other guests in the morning while eating breakfast in the common kitchen area. We also enjoyed sitting out on the back terrace for a late afternoon break after our day of activity before heading out again for the evening. The location was excellent in terms of walking to a couple of the Gaudi houses (La Pedrara and Casa Batllo) and accessing public transit. There are also some excellent restaurants nearby and bakeries nearby. We did find that there was a lot of street noise at night but that seems to be the price you pay for a central location so we would recommend packing earplugs (which we did) as a way to minimize this especially if your room faces onto the street. ZOOROOMS helped us have a wonderful time in the city!

The beautiful terrace, the well-equipped kitchen, the location, the price—everything was perfect. The terrace was very cozy, and thanks to the fully equipped kitchen, we were able to enjoy breakfast and dinner there comfortably. Relaxing in the hammock was also a real treat. And above all, the friendliness of André and the entire staff truly stood out. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

The property does not have an elevator, so you need to use the stairs. We were traveling as a family and had a lot of luggage, so it was a bit challenging. However, considering the price, location, and the wonderful experience we had, carrying our luggage up one flight of stairs was not a big deal at all.

Really great place to stay in a fab location for exploring the city. The room was clean and comfortable, lots of storage space and a balcony that overlooked the tree lined street. The funky art on the wall is fun and gave the space lots of character. We loved having access to the kitchen and the terrace is amazing. Having our breakfast and coffee on the terrace each morning was a great start to each day. Andrea was a fab host, very friendly and happy to answer all our questions, with lots of tips and suggestions to help us get acclimated. He made us feel really welcome. Would recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different!

The property is on a moderately busy road with a couple of restaurants nearby, so it can get a bit loud at night. It's OK if you have the window closed though!

When we booked this Barcelona hostel, we knew there would be a terrace, but we never expected it to be so incredibly spacious - it's actually big enough to play basketball! Our room had direct access to this amazing terrace, and even though it rained during our stay, we could easily imagine how perfect it would be on a sunny day. The room itself was uniquely decorated with artworks from a visiting artist, adding a special touch to our stay. The hostel's facilities include a well-equipped kitchenette where you can cook proper meals if you want to save some money or just enjoy cooking. What really stood out was the exceptional service - the front desk staff member took an incredible 30 minutes to thoroughly explain every single detail about our stay. I mean EVERY detail, such dedication to guest comfort is rare to find.

The whole ambience of the building as a whole. It's in a great location, rooms are big with very high ceilings and being able to use the community kitchen (which kindly provides free tea and coffee) was a bonus. It was also a nice meeting place for the guests. It felt more like staying in someone's gorgeous old home. The location is fantastic - walking distance to Sagrada Familia and down to the Gothic Quarter (20 mins), a number of fantastic places to eat nearby and taxis are readily available from the front door. The highlight for me was the Manager "Andrea" - from the minute I arrived he made me feel welcome. His knowledge of Barcelona is fabulous and he has great taste in local Catalan restaurants which I enjoyed. He attempts to get to know his guests personally and caters to their needs professionally and kindly. He truly is an asset to ZooRooms.

The pillows - sorry guys. I am one of the pains in the neck who take their own pillow when I travel overnight at home. It's a personal thing but affected my sleep.

Great communal type accomodations in a super convenient location. Great kitchy vibe in the place. You are within walking distance to just about everything. Communal kitchen that is well stocked with more then just the basics. Both indoor & outdoor lounge areas. The rooms are roomy enough with good storage for your belongings. The beds were comfortable. Andrea & Katya could not have been more friendly & super informative of the area & local hot spots. Great energy in those 2!

Let me be clear, I really liked this place & I only use this "what didn't you like?" area only to make suggestions to the establishment. My suggestion....The pillows could be upgraded.

Perfect location for exploring Barcelona and accessing the bars and restaurants. Super-friendly staff - so informative and helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious with air-con, and the beds comfortable. Great shower. The kitchen was really useful. We kept a bottle of wine chilled, and it was great to sit out in the evening on the lovely terrace. Also, very good value. I'd definitely recommend and hope to return. Many thanks to the staff at ZooRooms.

We loved everything!

We stayed at 'ZOOROOMS Boutique Guesthouse' for 3 nights. It is situated close to the Barcelona attractions such as Casa Batlló & Plaça de Catalunya, which are located within walking distance. It took about half an hour to reach the property from the Barcelona Airport by an Uber. The buildings looked very old. The hotel was situated on the 1st floor, which was not accessible by an elevator. The gentleman at the reception was very supportive. He demonstrated how to open the building door & the hotel door, followed by a detailed hotel & room tour. He properly communicated all the instructions & guidelines. We could even get an early check-in for our room. The hotel had everything required for the stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was equipped with an air conditioner, a table & a chair. The bathroom was sufficiently spaced & clean. Hot water worked without an issue. Towels, soap & amenities were available. The common kitchen was equipped with a refrigerator and all the required kitchen utensils. The dining area was also located alongside the kitchen. There was a common living room & a terrace which opened up to the backyard. The hotel provided a perfect stay in Barcelona.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at ZooRooms. The location is fantastic - only a 15 minute walk from the airport shuttle bus stop, and 5 minutes to the metro station. There are some great places to eat around the area and a 24 hour convenience store across the road. I was able to get some breakfast foods from there and save money, with space allocated in the fridge and cupboards for each room. The kitchen is well stocked including with oil and spices to cook, there is an oven, microwave and filtered water available. The room was beautifully decorated with everything you need for your stay and I enjoyed having doors to the terrace, with table and chairs and hammocks on the terrace; and air conditioning in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend ZooRooms for your stay in Barcelona.
