The standard double room we had was perfect size for a couple and was very clean and comfortable the staff we amazing and couldn’t of been more helpful, all of the staff were so accommodating and made us feel very welcome ( big shout out in particular to Simon and didn’t get his name but another guy on reception that so kindly made us our nightcap peppermint teas 😃) They also organised a birthday welcome package in the room for my partner which was such a lovely unexpected touch and we are so grateful it helped to make it such an amazing trip! The noise wasn’t as bad as some reviews have stated which was one of our concerns when arriving , I guess if you live in a city it’s standard and it didn’t affect our nights sleep. The location was perfect and felt it was easy walking distance to most local attractions or key bus/train stops and a couple of nice cafes dotted around the square. Little gem Would definitely recommend and stay again!!! 💎

Would be great if there was a fridge in the room Although location was perfect the surrounding square is slightly run down compared to La ramblas which is 5min walk away

Would have been nice to have a fridge and more space to store your clothes. Little bit of noise from outside, but that is to be expected in this location.

Super location, was able to pretty much walk everywhere. Staff were FABULOUS. So friendly, so welcoming, so nice. Room was spotless, lovely bed and great pillows. The toiletries included ear plugs and although the windows are very good for sound, the earplugs do help and were welcome. Air con was great. Even a lovely pillow spray and foot rub lotion included after a day sightseeing! Oh and robes! Pool area is small but was perfect.

That I didn't get to stay longer!

We had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Niu Barcelona. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the hotel’s location is fantastic—just a short walk from the Gothic Quarter, making it ideal for exploring the city. A special thanks to the reception staff, Celina and Marco, for their excellent service. They were both incredibly helpful, professional, and made us feel truly welcome. Overall, a great experience and we’d definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Barcelona.

The location was good. Easy to access taxi or bus . If you plaa to depart from the airport it’s a line way out of the city so a taxi is The reception staff were a definite 10/10. The buffet breakfast was in the lobby and we didn’t partake in that so can’t comment nir the pool which very shallow but Lille a nice reprieve in the hot summer

The room was on the fourth floor and was overlooking with Rambla. It’s really noisy until 3am however the hotel must know how this is a challenge for any quests in road facing rooms and they provide ear plugs

The shower was easily adjustable from cold to hot and with a wide jet of water. A kingside and comfortable bed made for a great night's sleep. The wardrobe space was adequate for a short stay. The bed was made every day and towels readily available. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. My partner is coeliac and the staff provided gluten free bread and cakes amongst the other food that was available. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

The hotel was in a rougher part of the city. The balcony was small not intended for sitting on.

Colors, space, shower

Noisy, and a little bit cold.

The location was excellent due to its proximity to shops and transports. The room was clean and comfortable with extra locker for valuables. The pool was nice and provided with separate towels you can borrow at reception. Reception staff were friendly and approachable.

Due to its busy location and shops/bars around, it can be noisy at night when you're trying to rest. I think rooms needs soundproofing as you can hear the footsteps on the corridor. Coffee/tea in rooms not available, you will need to go to reception and pay, although self service coffee is free at 12midday. Breakfast is also not included. You can pay for it but very limited options. Not convenient specially if you have children. You also need to pay for a tourist tax at arrival which I think 🤔 should be included on the price.

Breakfast was great and I like that it wasn't too busy. Self service buffet with lots of options. The staff were very accommodating with my allergies. Gluten free and milk alternatives

The room was on the smaller side, there wasn't alot of table space and the bedside tables were small. The ironing boards were very small and were fold out, I would have like a high standing one

The location is excellent, within 10 mins walk from different metros and La Ramblas. The area feels at first on the run down side but it's not. It's a very 'local' area and not at all touristy unlike the other side of Las Ramblas. You can eat and drink very cheaply almost anywhere or push the boat out with a couple of fantastic local places. The room was perfect size for 2 of us for 4 nights, and importantly it was clean. Breakfast might be considered slightly pricey for what it is, but it's fresh and well stocked (although the scrambled egg could be better!). The staff need special mention as they could not have been more helpful. By far the extra mile was not only presenting a surprise 60th birthday gift from a friend of champagne and chocolates in our room with a bucket of ice and two champagne glasses, but adding to this with a basket of their own in which seemed like one of everything from their snack cupboard, half bottle of red wine, two glasses, chocolates, all wrapped up with a couple of balloons and a lovely note! Such a wonderful surprise to find on our return.

The hotel is a little tired, with things like the shower controls being very stiff to the point of needing towels to help turn them off. The double glazing balcony doors aren't sealed well so there is road noise, but they kindly supply ear plugs. In room tea making facilities would be nice, although there is a free coffee station down in reception.
