We liked everything about HOTEL RECTOR. From the moment we arrived our bags were whisked away to our room and our car was parked. A swift, painless check-in, a welcome drink and then were shown to our immaculately clean and comfortable room. We chose to stay in Salamanca for 5 days which was part of a road trip around Northern Spain…and ended up wishing we could have stayed longer. Furthermore anyone thinking of spending any time in Salamanca, MUST, MUST, if budget allows stay at Hotel Rector. I will personally guarantee they will not be disappointed. This small hotel is what every other hotel should aspire to be.

We recently stayed at Hotel Rector and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly set the tone for our entire experience. The hotel's location is fantastic—close to all the major attractions yet tucked away enough to provide a peaceful retreat. It was the perfect base for exploring the city, and we appreciated how convenient it was to get around. Our room was absolutely stunning, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was like a dream, and we loved the luxurious touches throughout. It was a true haven to return to after a day of sightseeing. We are so glad we chose Hotel Rector for our stay. The combination of wonderful staff, a great location, and beautiful rooms made it an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect stay!

It is not often that I write such a glowing review, but this hotel so far exceeded our expectations that I think they totally deserve it: the property itself is beautiful, in an old building just outside the city walls and very close to all the sights, the bedrooms are quite spacious and very well-appointed, with big bathrooms and plenty of excellent options, and the breakfast is delicious! The hotel also boasts its own garage, with valet parking, and a small gym, although most people will certainly prefer to explore the beautiful city centre of this lovely city. The main attraction of Hotel Rector, though, is its staff, who were extremely professional, friendly and corteous: they got in touch right before we arrived to check if there were any special needs and tended to all our requests with the nicest of smiles!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at hotel rector and I must say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way! We had a long day before we arrived at Salamanca. We arrived at the hotel around 11:40 pm. Before we arrived, the front desk had contacted us for the arrangement of the late check-in. From the moment we walked in, the staff at the front desk made us feel welcome. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and we were offered a complimentary drink and snacks while we waited. Our rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, with a perfect blend of comfort and style. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens were fresh. I also appreciated the attention to detail, like the luxurious toiletries and the cozy robe provided. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We've traveled a lot and stayed in lots of nice places, but this is definitely the nicest hotel where we've ever stayed. The service is exceptional and is what puts it top on our list. These days, you don't often get the type of attention to detail like Hotel Rector provides. As guests, we felt special and pampered. Every day there were little gifts and notes left in our room, and every night there were more gifts and treats. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. Even our daughters (teen/young adult) were blown away by the service at this hotel. We would love to return to Salamanca just to get to stay at Hotel Rector again one day.

Everything. Attention to detail is exceptional. Personal touches are fabulous, From the complimentary champagne and nibbles in the beautiful room, to the gorgeous Bvlgari products in the fabulous bathroom and the lovely hand written 'sweet dreams' note at turn down with Bvlgari perfume and cologne miniatures. The foot masks after a long day exploring the lovely city of Salamanca were most welcome and another thoughtful personal touch. Breakfast was sublime - best I've ever had in hotel anywhere. On check out we were handed goodie bags wishing us a sate onward journey with bottles of water, cereal bars, chocolates and mints. Each member of staff takes exceptional service levels personally and it shows! The most fabulous hotel.

Nothing - it was absolutely perfect and what all other hotels should aspire to.

The breakfast spread is not a usual hotel buffet. It is an exceptional spread of fruits, pastries, cake, cold meats and cheeses. In addition you can order eggs to your liking, freshly cooked toast, freezely squeezed juice & a plate of freshly cut fruit. I did not need lunch although stopping for a coffee at one of the many cafes in Salamanca is a must. The staff also provided a takeaway breakfast the morning of my departure at 5am. This hotel only has 14 rooms, an amazing reception and lounge area and 24 hour bar. It is exceptionally well furnished & comfortable. The staff are amazing. It is located just opposite the old city wall not far from the cathedrals, a perfect location for most of the sites. The hotel provides a map of the main sites and opening times which was very useful. I saw everything marked on the map in 1 and half very full days

A very professionally run hotel with extremely friendly and attentive staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. They were very welcoming and this became apparent with the added extras they included on a daily basis. It was a perfect location for sightseeing and the room was luxurious and well appointed.

After some thought the only trivial point we could think of was that the shower control for the upper and lower shower heads was too sensitive making it difficult to turn off, but we mastered this.

Either a plumbing or A/C issue - there was a noise like a croaking frog in my room the whole stay. I never brought it up to the staff because it was soft and seemed like it would have been difficult to figure out the source, but I’m sure they would have tried. Also hand soap needed a soap dish - it kept sliding into the sink.

What an exceptional hotel! One of the nicest and friendliest places we’ve ever stayed. Such kind, attentive and generous staff at the front desk! :) Beautiful facilities. A gorgeous gym. Lovely breakfast room with a delicious assortment of foods and a charming cook. :) Very cozy and inviting lobby. Our room was beautiful and very quiet.

The mattress on the bed seemed to sag somewhat; might be time for replacement.
