This hotel is a great choice and I liked it very much. The bad reviews here are clearly from the time it was not yet rennovated and in other ownership. Now it is a completely new hotel that is really very nice, moreover for this price and in the city center. In front there is a space under roof for a car or taxi to stop and calmly get off or load with all belongings. To start from the begining, the staff was extremely helpfull and friendly, all speaking great English. While I was checking in, one of them took all our bags in the room and the manager played with my kid, at the check-out they helped with ordering a taxi to the airport. The strolley or other bags could be kept on the ground floor in a closed room. The part of the way up is by a staircase but as I said the staff helped with the luggage and afterwards there are 3 elevators to go up to the rooms. On the common floor there is a nice room with coaches and some books, water, apples and coffee. The design is very nice, colourful but with taste. The WiFi was fast and worked perfectly in the whole building. I had a Double Luxe room on 3rd floor. The room - great, spacios and with everything needed. Clean, quite silent for a hotel as the corridor is covered with carpet and doors are not thin. The window could be opened if you don’t like A/C (which was present), it’s a quiet side-street but with opened windows you can hear the late party-goers on pedestrian street nearby. With closed window there is no problem with noise, even my small kid could sleep calmly. Big bed and not too soft, just right for a good sleep, TV with a wide range of channels (news and kids channels too, Eurosport Germany), enough space to play and move around. There is a couch and a table that you can use as a dinning area, in front of a kitchenette that is a real life saver, very handy if you travel with children.

Love love love the location! We were a party of 6 during our stay. We were very comfortable with the beds and the bathroom (oh, how I appreciate nice bathrooms). There was a supermarket almost next door. The train station was a few meters away. The staff were so helpful. Also, we really appreciated that when we checked out, we left our 6 big luggages and 2 small handcarry bags , free-of-charge. We collected all our things in the afternoon, in time for our next stop. I am so glad I read lots of reviews before booking this hotel. This place is highly recommended!

The room is giant, bathroom excellent (clean, good towers and wondferul shower). there is a little and complete kitchen, enough to make anithing unless to fry. The location is great, its a neighborhood with many places to go arround, everything you need. Was a great surprise the Hotel. I have been traveling to Madrid in different hotels and that one was the more valuable for me.

the location of Apartment was excellent, despite the central area, it was quite. Thanks to the perfect isolation of the double windows, we did not hear any notice and were able to sleep well. The bed was very comfortable. The metro Tribunal was only few steps away. Last but not least, great and efficient AC. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The cleanliness was a bit superficial and not too deep. If they improve this aspect, it would be a 10/10, but other than that, I would stay again in this place

Very accommodating team. Jose kindly recommended us the top sights to visit in Madrid and the best restaurants to try too. Location was perfect for us! Just a minute walk to Tribunal metro station. Super straightforward to get the metro from the airport to the hotel. Room was clean and comfortable.

The area can get a little noisy in the night, but hey it's a Soho area.

Very nice location, it was walking distance to almost everywhere I needed to go so didn’t have to use public transport except for a few times, but even then the metro station was very close. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I stayed for a 4 days then left my luggage there (the luggage storage is a great service too) for 6 days and came back for another night to find my luggage safe and sound, as well as a welcome back note from the hotel with complementary snacks put in my room :) They also gave me the same room and all this shows how much they care about their guests. The housekeeping cleaned the room when I had the do not disturb sign on but didn’t clean it when I didn’t have it on. They also didn’t change the towels. The soundproofing in the rooms is not the best, you could hear people walking down the hallway and shutting their doors at night, but it’s tolerable.

After 5 nights at Tribu Malasaña, we couldn't be happier with our choice! The room was spacious, modern, and clean, with daily coffee and housekeeping - a vacation game-changer. The bed was ultra-comfy, and the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. I appreciated the thoughtful touches from the staff - from the welcome water bottles and toothbrushes in the room to the magazine and daily supply of fresh apples and snacks in the lobby. The location is unbeatable: safe, clean, vibrant, and steps from metro/buses (though we walked 50+ km exploring Madrid's stunning streets). Unlike chaotic areas like Gran Vía or Plaza Mayor, Malasaña felt authentic - lively evenings (light street noise; bring earplugs just in case) but peaceful for sleeping. Bonus: Luggage storage saved us before our late flight! The staff was professional, friendly, and attentive. Nearby food & coffee gems we adored: Honest Greens: Fresh, flavorful, and generous portions; Delish Vegan Doughnuts: The best cinnamon roll in Europe - fluffy, sweet, and 100% plant-based! Coffee's great too; Mad Mad Vegan - Incredible plant-based burgers (try the Rock'n Chick'n + Cajún fries); Natif Coffee & Kitchen - Stylish specialty coffee spot with vegan milk and excellent pastries.

Small tweaks that could improve the experience: kitchen basics (salt, oil, sharp knives), a spare blanket in the closet (though the team kindly provided one when asked), functional TV casting/Netflix - this one was important for us in the evenings. Cleaning was a 9,5/10, some pots needed more attention, and the toilet.

Renovated building and rooms. Rooms have kitchen and a very nice decoration.

We had to change rooms cause the shower flooded the bathroom. It was solved very quickly though. The only thing we missed is a table to be able to eat and/or work. The coffee table in the room was not comfortable at all. Also, staff was very very friendly but you can tell there is something that doesn’t work between them and it is uncomfortable. There’s a person in the reception standing there and controlling things and it is a little be off putting when you want to ask something to the receptionist and do not know if they are being watched or tested…weird feeling.

Great central location, staff were very friendly. Booked our taxi to the airport, took our bags to the room on arrival and our room was ready early which enabled us to shower and change following a 3:30 am start from the uk. The facility’s exceeded our expectations with a microwave, fridge, hob and all the utensils we needed. It even had a corkscrew which is rare. The products provided in the bathroom smelt so lovely, so we used them instead of the ones we brought with us. The shower was powerful, with plenty of hot water.

I would have appreciated a clearer policy around late check-out. I received confusing messages from the staff (initially they told me late check-out is possible as per availability- then one day before departure they told me that it’s ok and I do not need to worry and I can check-out late with an extra fee, then on the day of the check-out they told me is no longer possible as they have new bookings). In the end I had to check-out earlier than I needed which made my last day a bit uncomfortable vs what I planned. A departing client is still a paying client.
