Great location, comfortable bed, cool roof top veranda.

It wasn't clear to me that we weren't getting a room with two bedrooms, which was required. The pull out bed was comfortable but given we were allocated an attic flat, it left little room. When booking, the property shows rooms from all flats in the block, which led us to believe we would have two rooms. We wouldn't have booked a one room only facility.

Communication with the host was excellent! Apartment was clean and comfortable. Access to apartment and door codes were easy. Apartment and area was safe and we felt comfortable. Apartment is super close to metro (one block), grocery store (less than one block) and lots of great restaurants (literally around the corner and all within walking distance). Area was super active with people walking all day/night. We could leave the terrace doors open if we wanted to hear the activity, or close them if we wanted quiet. Bedroom was in the back of the apartment, so we were never disturbed by any noise. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the area!

If I had to sum up the furnishings, I would say 'Adequate'. No love or care shown. The pictures in the listing show the apartment with 4 terraces. There were only two. But no problem because it meant the bedroom was in the back of the apartment, not on the street side (a plus). The kitchen was sparsely furnished with 2 forks, 2 spoons, 2 knives. Really not a problem, because we ate out every meal. But still had a 'sparse, just enough' feel. Four towels for the 2 of us and no facecloths. All in all, a nice place. Nothing fancy. But a great area of town.

The apartment was excellent. It was really spacious. The rooms are big, the sitting area large enough to house another couple of extra adults if needed. The kitchen has the necessary equipment. It's really close to the main shopping district so everything is conveniently located. There's a couple of cafes right opposite the building so breakfast and coffee are available whenever needed. There's a public parking 200m away so that took care of our parking requirements. Stopping on the street and alighting is not problematic because the Spanish seem to be a very accommodating bunch and wait patiently for you to get your luggage out of the car. There's an elevator so getting luggage up was not an issue.

There is just nothing provided in the apartment. Not even shower gel, shampoo and hand soap, so you'll need to visit the grocery store immediately once you arrive.

The communication with the hosts was great, check in was easy using an electronic door code provided to us. The apartment itself is a decent size, was nice and clean and the beds comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with the basic things so might not be suitable to cook an elaborate meal, but we didn’t do much cooking while there so that didn’t bother us. The apartment is in a great location, walking distance to a lot of things and close to public transport.

The 2 things we didn’t like that much about the apartment are completely out of the hosts’ control. There are communal bins in the road outside the front bedroom and in Spain bins often get emptied throughout the night, so we got woken up by the bin men a few times. Also, the Thursday night (we stayed Sunday till Friday) was generally a bit noisy outside with more people going out. Nothing that some earplugs didn’t solve though and wouldn’t stop us from coming back.

The building and rooms are in great condition, modern with all the amenities needed. Ie iron washing machine TVs WiFi. Etc. totally secure. With individual security code access. Right in the middle of a bustling street but not noisey at all when you’re in the room. The vibe is fantastic with lots of food places to eat from as soon as you step out. Special shout-out to 100 montaditos right around the corner. Great quick handy food from snackables to large dishes. Great for a coffee or a quick beer. Staff are super friendly. The hosts who were in contact with me are the absolute best. Fran and Isabel were amazing. Super Informative and helpful and respond to any questions. They are 1 of the main reason the stay was so good. The location is perfect. Taxi and uber to anywhere for a great price or go for a stroll to enjoy the city centre and surrounding streets. (Super safe , but obviously be alert) only a 35 minute walk to the palace or 10 mins in a cab. This stay would make me want to visit Madrid again. Thanks again to all the staff. hasta la próxima..

We had a spacious 2-bedroom apartment. A lot of light. Great location, a bit aside from the main crowdy walking routes. Close to the Center but much quieter. Easy check in and check out. Option for luggage storage if needed. Three supermarkets nearby. There is a lift in the building. A bit noisy in one bedroom in the morning - traffic and streets cleaning. Clean and well equipped apartment. Staff is very friendly and promptly replies to all inquiries. Very helpful.

The apartments location couldn't be any better for the cost. Just a block away from the metro and public parking facilities. A lot a locations for food close by. Even though it's located relativity close to the the city center, the street noise was quite low from the 4th floor. We only used the apartment to have a place for our bags and sleep so couldn't say much else.

I don't know if it was booking.com's fault or the host's but, when I was looking for the apartment, I requested (using the sites filter) a 2 bathroom apartment, the apartment only had one. Huge issue as it was 6 of us. There is no reception area and they comunicate mostly by phone. The contact person mentioned that they do not have any 2 bathroom apartments and did not know how their apartment was listed even though I had used the filter. Other than this inconvenience, everything else was fine.

Great location, clean, secure and very comfortable. Everything needed for a long weekend in the city.

-noise at night from the street (but not too much) -on a wall in the living room there was mold from humidity that smelled. (it was something constructional, which was accidental and was not possible to repair in those days)

Pleasant neighbourhood close to the centre but with a life of its own - Madrid museum and Romanticism museum; excellent market, tube nearby, lively restaurants. Recommend a visit to the Madrid Museum which offers a good introduction to the capital.

Checking in at a different address was awkward - I arrived tired after a long trip with luggage. I don’t like access using codes … and sure enough the main door, which was a little sticky refused to open on one occasion, luckily for us we were not returning late and the matter was swiftly resolved by ringing the office which is open until 10.00 p.m. (friendly and efficient). What if it had been the following night when we returned late from a flamenco evening? Supply of toilet paper could have been more generous!
