The staff were super helpful and positive. It’s also amazing that hostel offers a whole bunch of activities, sometimes including dinner and always small complimentary breakfast. Everything also seemed to be very clean, which is great.

Well, given the place is very popular of course it was super busy and loud. They are trying to ask people keep quiet, but with room next to reception and windows outside the street I had very little sleep. The airco in the room also was either too strong blowing at you or if you lower it then becomes too hot in the room and lacking fresh air. The sheets need to be replaced as it feels like they haven’t been changed for a long time. But if I ever choose to stay in the hostel again I would certainly choose this one.

I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The location is super central—perfect for exploring the city on foot. (they also free walking tours everyday) The whole place was spotless, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. A special shoutout to Anna at the reception, who was incredibly friendly and accommodating—she made check-in smooth and offered great local tips. The vibes overall were great, and the other guests were friendly too, which added to the experience. I also loved that they offer free activities—it’s a great way to meet people and make the most of your stay. Would definitely consider staying here again!

This hostel is amazing! Perfect location in the heart of Madrid, on a clean and beautiful street, close to everything. The staff are super kind, Augustin gave me a warm welcome and made me feel at home. I stayed in a room for four people with a beautiful view of the street from above. The room was clean, and the bathrooms and toilets were also very well maintained. There is also a kitchen for anyone who wants to cook their own meals, which is really convenient. I really enjoyed the activities they organized. The traditional Spanish dinner was a great experience, with a friendly and family-like vibe. Also, the trip to Toledo with Karen was unforgettable! The city is full of history, and the tour was fun and very interesting. If you love history and Spanish culture, you will love it! Highly recommended!!

A great social hostel with absolutely incredible staff! They hosted activities and day trips during the day, and had night outs planned for the night (free entry & good drink deals if you go with the hostel)! These activities were free to join, and the tapas/dinners made by the hostel were free as well! The staff were all so welcoming, friendly and down to earth, as were the other residents at the hostel. A special thanks to Carolina who provided us with so many recommendations & helped us out, and Karen who was very knowledgeable and took us to Toledo! This is a very social hostel so I would recommend this to any solo travellers/ small groups as you can meet loads of people here if you join in on the activities! We had an amazing time and hope to stay here again ☺️

I really liked my stay at Onefam Sungate. The location is very good close to the city center and Madrid is very walkable so you can go everywhere very quickly but there is also a mtero station very close at Puerta del Sol. The rooms are very spacious and feature single beds instead of bunks which was really nice. There's a lot of restrooms and shower spread out in the hostel, so you don't have to worry about not finding an empty one. You could also sign up for events and there werd dinners on some days. I did the walking tour which was really enjoyable. For sure one of the best hostels I've stayed at.

Excellent location, couple of minutes from metro station. Friendly staff, amazing group activities of night. I had a private room, they are pretty spacious and have their own shower and sink, so you only need to use toilet outside your room. There are no elevator and for private room you need to go to the 4th floor, so just something to have in mind

AC blasts directly on your bed, so it would be good if guard can be installed so it blasts upwards, Thankfully nights weren't to hot, but if they were you could end up choosing between turning it off, having it blast in you

Perfect for solo traveler or small group (1~3 people) It was my second stay here in 4 years(Nov 2019). It fulfilled all I've expected from my previous experience. - kind and welcoming staffs, amazing daily events, free dinner meal, excellent environment to make friends, single bed in dormitory room, location(Sol square 2min away), hot water, convenient shower and toilet, etc. I am 100% sure that I will stay here again when I visit Madrid next time.

really friendly staff, love the culture of meeting new people and friendliness overall from the other people that stayed here, free walking tour and other activities were fun, dinner was homely and cosy, very organised place with very good information and recommendations for travelling around madrid

not sure if there was an option for a single gendered rooming situation, i felt mostly safe in a mixed gendered rooming but some roommates snored quite loudly at night, would recommend ear plugs and a sleeping eye mask if you are not a heavy sleeper!

The location was great The hostel itself was clean and safe with great vibes all around The staff is the best part of my stay as they were super friendly and helpful, especially Natasha and Angel they always went the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and help you with the programs to explore the city. Nat even took the time to show Madrid at night and show me all the hidden gems and explain the stories behind the buildings. It was a wonderful, and authentic Madrid experience. The staff know their city and always have a plan for you that will meet your interests
