We liked the location a lot. You are really close to many attractions and still the hotel is quite and even when staying in a room facing the square - which is quite lively - you get a decent sleep.

Everything was great except one thing. The elevator broke down - which of course can happen - but it continued to be out of service for our last three days. Staying on the third floor this became a bit of a trouble since my husband has problems with his knees. After a day or so, they opened another elevator (otherwise used only by staff) but it didn't go down to the reception or the breakfast room, so we still had two rather long stairs to handle. It is unclear why they couldn't have the elevator fixed.

Location: The hotel location is amazingly great. It is located within 3 minutes of walking distance from Plaza Del Sol, It was one of the busiest location due to the Christmas Season. The hotel is also within 5-7 walking distance Warning: There are multiple hotels in same area with similar name. This is Petite Palace, near Plaza Del Carmen.

Beds: We had requested one room with 1 bed, and second room with 2 beds, however that request was not sent or understood by the property. We needed two separate bed in one of the room. The suggestion from the manager was to slide the bed apart to make that single bed into two beds Room: One of the room assigned to us was so small that we could not open two suitcases on the floor and have enough space to walk around. We requested to have us change to a different room, which was slightly bigger. Noise: since the hotel is in prime location it seems that there were always people talking outside on the street. It was so quiet in the area that you can hear them talk on the second floor even with windows closed.

The location was unexpectedly good (it was our first time in Madrid and this is very centrally and nicely located). Although there is some noise from the construction on plaza del carmen, the thick glass from the balcony windows did a good job insulating them to an acceptable level. Breakfast was good and had plenty of options. Would stay in this hotel again in the future :-)

The place at which breakfast is served is a bit on the smaller side: especially if arriving during the "rush" period you may need to wait a little to be seated. The key card reader for our room needed some maintenance (we got the hang of it after a while, but we needed to repeatedly insert and pull the key card until it worked). Also the soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers could be more ergonomic: it felt like something in the design left only a very small space for you to put your hands below where the products were dispensed.

The location was great, I walked everywhere. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room while small, didn't feel tight. It was perfect, super clean and comfortable. Someone mentioned the water pressure in the shower. Wow! I too wish I had that water pressure in my shower at home. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I normally use a hotel chain that gives me points, but I will definitely stay here again

The hotel was in the best location for tourists, right in the centre of the city. The beds were very small but comfy, the room was warm, we had problems with the keycard system to our room and one day we couldn’t get the door to lock and had to get reception to fix it by calling maintenance. Rectified by the time we came back in the afternoon. We didn’t eat anything in the hotel so can’t recommend any foods or outlets. Looked at the room service menu and it seemed dear for what was on it. Overall I would give it a low eight out of ten.

Great small hotel. Nicely appointed and very clean. Staff were helpful and communication was excellent. They allowed us an early check in which was much appreciated after an overnight bus trip! Room and bed comfortable and shower room spacious and well equipped with toiletries towels. The location is excellent, very central and on a pretty square with local bars and restaurants close by. A great stay and good value.

The location was great. About a block away from calle gran via and close to public transport. The staff was friendly. I wish I were better with names but I liked the one who checked me in and out. The room was on the smaller side but was more than adequate for what I needed. The room service was good and lightening fast. I was a bit concerned with all the construction and the area seemed a little sketchy but it ended up not being a problem. The temperature control was good. I loved the shower and how nice and hot it was.

I would love to see what this area looks like when not ripped up with construction. Good the noise didn't bother. A minor gripe-the breakfast was a good variety but some of the things they kept a bit long. I am all for leftovers but I could tell the baked goods were a bit stale and dried out. Not sure if things were kept too long or a storage issue but I could tell when they were fresh vs not. Also unless I missed something I didn't see a fan in the bathroom so when I took a shower the whole room steamed up.

The rooms are small as said by many of the other guests. However not at problem as the storage facilities in the room were adequate. There was a refurbishment of the Carmen Square outside going on which led to sone noice in the morning. Staff was extremely kind and helpfull during our entire stay. Location a dream

I would not eat the breakfast again, but other than that I have no complaints!

The room was very small but extremely comfortable, quiet, clean and renovated. The breakfast was amazing, very tasty and had a wide variety of options. The hotel was incredibly central and overlooked a very quiet little square. There was a taxi stand right in front of it. So I felt very comfortable.
