We love our room, it is homey and very clean. Also the location is so good. You are near to some of the tourist places and it is in the shopping district.
The check-in instructions were not provided properly and the elevator is too small. It could have saved the hassle if there was an instruction provided prior to our check-in. I only found through a resident what floor to go to and we went there with our luggages only to find out that we will still be going to another floor. We are travelling as a family with plenty of luggages so we have to take multiple trips since the elevator is small. In addition, the lobby has some few steps (stairs) to the main floor. It is also hard for persons travelling with a lot of heavy luggages.

The apartment is spacious and comfortable and the roof terrace is large and quite beautiful, although the view is average. It is bright and airy place, super functional, with two large wardrobes. The location is great, most of the attractions are within walking distance, and metro and bus stations are also nearby. It is a bit noisy at night, but we slept well anyway, plus the bed is comfy. They changed our sheets and towels halfway through our stay. We didn't use the kitchen except for making coffee, but at first glance it seems to be equipped with the basics.
It was completely dusty right after we walked in and the first thing we did was wipe down all the surfaces, even the inside of the closets. Halfway through the stay we asked for cleaning (included in the price), but the apartment was cleaned only after contacting the reception again next day, and then just the floor was cleaned. The bathroom is small, the shower cubicle has mold on the tiles, and the cubicle doors have rust on the bottom. Since it was cold, we asked about heating and they said they would bring us a heater, but that didn't happen. We didn't turn on the air conditioner because it would scatter all that dust around the apartment. The blue sofa and bed linen were stained. We were missing the coat rack in the hallway and the chair pads on the terrace.

The guy in the reception was very welcoming and a good communicator. We have arrived before check in time and he accepted to keep our luggage’s until the check in time while we were touring the neighbourhood. Once the room was ready (before check in ) we received a message on WhatsApp. We booked a separate room with a private bathroom for 2 people and we got a whole appartement. The apartment was very clean, spacious and so teddy. There were a small kitchen, an entrance with a sofa and a dining table, a bathroom with a toilet a shower cabine hairdryer clean towels and toiletries. The bed room was a decent one and finally a small balcony. Overall it was beyond expectation. We really recommend it especially it was a good value of money giving the quality and location. The location is a cherry on the top
The heater was not functioning properly The weather was a bit cold and the blanket wasn’t enough

I stayed 4 nights in an apart room which has a double bed, bathroom, separated lounge are, kitchen with a full size refrigerator and all the needed utensils. Regarding all the features, room size was compact and it was looking at a back yard which was very silent at all times. It was just like a home, with everything you may need and quite clean overall. Internet was flawless, where I even watched some Netflix and Prime movies. The hostel consists spare areas inside a large building where there are other private units. So I stayed as if I was staying in my own apartment unit without showing up in the reception, and even did not ask for any service. I am glad that I read comments about the reception area on the first floor, as the hostel doesn't give much clues on the street level. The lady in the reception was helpful enough and although I did not enter or got out in late hours being in a business trip, I did not have any difficulties getting in and out the building anytime. The only other space I experienced in the hostel was a small shared kitchen next to the reception space, where I spent some time eating my sandwich while waiting for my flight. Was clean and neat, useful for other rooms. And best of all, you are at the heart of the city, a stone's trow away from the Gran Via Street, walking distance to many of the main attractions. Highly recommended.

The location is very central. Walking distance to everything: central attractions, shopping, food. The room and the bathroom were very clean, clean towels, sheets, basic toiletries available. The room even has an AC, which was needed as it was quite hot in Madrid. I needed a converter plug to plug in my charger into the wall outlet and the front desk staff happily lent it to me. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. Most importantly, the bathroom facilities were very clean, and neat. It was not a cramped bathroom or room, with modern overhead and hand held shower heads.
The entrance could be better marked, or described on the web listing. On first arrival, I couldn’t find the entrance as the building number is not clearly visible, plus the reception is on the first floor of a residential building. At the entrance, only a tiny tag labelling far home is available, so you have to look hard to find the entrance.

The host was responsive in their replies. Location was great, a min from eateries and 3-4mins from shopping such Primark, Zara etc. The place is also a minute walk from the Flamenco show place. The property has everything we needed - washing machine, full kitchenette (frying pans, fridge, induction etc) among others. There is an elevator for us to bring our big luggages. The place is secured and have all the necessary measures that makes us feel safe. The place is very big so can even fit up to 4 persons. The bathroom amenities are fully provided (hairdryer, toilet paper, shampoo/bath foam). It is like a homestay. Place is quiet so no disturbance during our sleep.
A bit of difficulty in the check in process but was resolved quickly. Other than that, nothing.

Superb location (best in Madrid City Centre). Everything is close by - walking distance. Fabulous staff: They were all very helpful. Special mention to Andrea, who was very kind and patient with me and gave me the info on places to visit during a a short trip and also told me about the 001 bus (free bus - from Gran Via). I covered, everything she marked for me on a map. It was a big help. Also, special mention to the manager, who helped me charge my iWatch, as I didn't have the adapter with me. Thanks to Marcelo and Ricardo for all their help and advice too. I can't praise the room enough. It was very spacious, well-equipped and mainly the bathroom was big and very clean. Full marks! It was also my first time staying in a shared dormitory. I had a very good experience, the dorm room was also very spacious, with individual lockers If I go back to Madrid, I will definitely stay at Far Home Gran VIa again. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Absolutely nothing that i did not like. No negatives

Lets start first with the location - less than a minute to Gran Via, only a few minutes walking to Sol, I was very very impressed. The room that we got was small, but it had absolutely everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, the mattress and pillows of good quality and each night we had a relaxing sleep. The AC in the room was working, bathroom was small but very, very clean. And special thanks to the people at the reception - we were able to leave our luggage there before and after our stay. I do appreciate this highly! No problems with sounds whatsoever, we had a very peaceful stay. I would definitely consider visiting Far Home again :)

We had the family studio and it was really good, spaced out, the kitchen and living area were really good to have especially with a child as he had space to play. Stuff was friendly and helpful. The location is great in less than 1 minute you are in gran via and same for Sol square.
There's nothing to complain about, the only thing I can mention is the ground floor few steps in the building, To reach the lift, you need to go up these 5 steps. I only mention that due to the pushchair, but it wasn't a big deal.

The location was excellent, right in the heart of Madrid with all major stores being nearby. The rook was not the biggest, but for the price, can't complain. The shared kitchen was a nice touch as well.
It was a bit difficult getting on and off the top of the bunk bed in our room, and there was noise outside at night (not the hotels fault), but was perfect otherwise.
