We were travelling on 3 motorbikes so the attached garaged secure parking was very welcome. The hotel is a just a 5 minute walk from the Castle and a few more minutes gets you into the main squares and alleyways forming the old centre. The rooms were comfortable and, although overlooking the main road, were not too noisy. There is an attached Bar which is very popular with the Locals. There is also a restaurant which maybe is convenient but lacked a little character.

I hadn't realized that smoking rooms were still a thing in Spain. Only after unpacking from my various bits of motorcycle luggage did I notice a slight odour and then saw the sign on the door permitting smoking. It wasn't bad enough to make me want to move or complain, but it's worth asking for non-smoking rooms if that's what you want. It's also worth, prior to arrival, asking the hotel where to park initially, as we found the street very busy and weren't sure if we were parking safely and legally as we checked-in.

Location was very good; staff were helpful; room was clean and vomfortable

Food in the restaurant was very good; on first night I had dinner in the hotel restaurant and was very pleased; there was a large group in the dining room but I was easily accommodated; on my second evening there two groups in the dining room and combined fewer people than the large group on my first evening; the dining room would not accommodate me so I had to go elsewhere

Location was topnotch. Very close to the castle and old town, main street, across a convenience store, and close to restaurants. This is where I started my Camino. =) Welcoming staff, my room was basic but I only needed it to sleep and prepare for my pilgrimage so it was perfect as it was. Breakfast was simple but enough to get me going. Check in and check out was a breeze. There's an elevator access. My room was on the top floor and it was quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing really. Only that the lighting on my floor (or maybe all floors) were triggered by movement but it was a bit slow, so it can be a bit dark on the hallways for about a 2-3 seconds when walking out or coming to your room. Other than this, everything was fine.

The hotel is right on the Camino de Santiago so after a challenging day it was a lovely reward, especially the opportunity to soak in the tub. We made the reservation the day before, and lucked out and got an 'on-line special' so the room was good value. It was clean, spacious with good lighting. A breakfast of toast, jam, fresh squeezed orange juice, tea or coffee is available for less than 6 euros.

Nothing

Superb room with spa bath. Once you ask reception to activate the bath you can soak sore feet and muscles from walking the Camino. The location was on the Camino and a stones throw from the castle and plaza. There is so much to see and do in Ponferrada and you are spoilt for choice for places to eat and drink. We took a walk into the centre and had a Chinese meal. Wonderful place to stay, just a shame we only had one night as up early for Camino the next day. We would recommend staying for more if you have the time.

Great front desk staff! They let me leave my bag behind the desk while I walked around both before and after check out

The token had the cleaned and sanitized sack but when I opened the toilet, someone had gone to the bathroom (#2) and it hasn’t been flushed, it made me question the cleaning of the rest of the room. Also air conditioner didn’t really work at all.

The room was spacious as we had a spa tub suite. The staff very nice. The bath tub was great! There was an issue and we had to postpone our stay by a day and have them hold our backpacks till we arrived. They did this which was amazing.

There were no glasses or real amenities in the room. No kettle or nespresso machine which we have had almost every hotel. Always glasses🫤 purchased a big water downstairs it was very overpriced this was our fault though.

The hotel was beautifully appointed. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and so close to the castle. My room was very comfortable and made up every day and I had a beautiful view out over the surrounding mountains.

Basic hotel with all of the facilities you need for a short stay. All amenities worked, street parking outside or hotel parking at a reasonable cost. Having a cafe and restaurant on site is a bonus. The staff were very helpful particularly explaining the local festival and best places to eat. Great town to visit.

Nothing.
