The property was clean, in a good location with a large balcony overlooking the sea. The rooms were spacious especially the two bedroom apartment which had two bathrooms. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful.

Whilst sitting around the pool, we were not allowed to take any food or drink from our apartment there. We were told by the rude lady that worked in the pool bar, that we were only allowed to eat or drink what we purchased at the pool bar 😔 I have never experienced this before on a self catering holiday!

We've been here quite a few times. The apartments are a little old-fashioned but the location is good and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. There is a convenient little pool-bar which we called at most days. The location is close to supermarkets, bars/restaurants, bus & taxi stops etc. There are various walks (but a lot of hills!). There is a nice mixture of locals and low-key tourism. The pool isn't large but it wasn't too busy when we were there and we used it daily.

Our wifi worked fine for first 3 or 4 days then went off. Staff tried to fix it but didn't succeed. I found a signal out on the balcony so not a major problem but inconvenient.

We had a wonderful time at El Marques Palace. Location is amazing, we had a sea view and were enjoying the beautiful view of Los Gigantes. The hotel is next to a supermarket which is great in case you need to buy food or drinks. Staff is super friendly, room is kept clean, the hotel also has a heated pool. We would love to come back once again as we truly enjoyed our stay and the neighborhood. Warm greetings to Vladimir & Maria - you truly made our stay more memorable! :)

Everything was perfect

Every staff is very friendly and patient, the room is big and clean, and the distance to the beach is acceptable. The swimming pool is not very big but it is very clean. Everything is beautiful. A very cost-effective hotel.

Premises are not new already, however maintained well

We really enjoyed our stay at El Marques Palace in Puerto De Santiago. We had a family room at the very top with a lovely sea view, we could also see the another Canary Island of La Gomera and the stunning Los Gigantes cliffs. We met the lovely woman Rosie at reception when we arrived and she couldn’t have been more helpful. There was another woman and man behind the desk too but didn’t catch their names, who were also very friendly and helpful with booking restaurants, day trip activities and general advice for your stay. I’m guessing the building is a bit older than some of the other surrounding hotels but is certainly well maintained and clean. Also for anyone renting a car I was a bit put off that the hotel didn’t offer free parking but was told that it was safe to park around the area if you could find a spot, which I did to be fair and didn’t have an issue at all.

The staff, including reception, cleaning and maintenance were all very helpful and incredibly welcoming of our kids (ages 1 and 3). We were able to arrange a room change to better reflect the ages of the kids, they helped safety proof the balcony and generally every request was met with a smile. These small human interactions are sometimes overlooked, but we can only convey that the staff made a huge difference to the enjoyment of our stay. It is a short walk to the westward facing coast at sunset, 20 minutes walk (or a very easy bus journey) to Playa la Arena and 50 minutes drive to Teide national park. A great location for family and adventure activities.

The kitchen could have been better equipped, but this is a common point in both Spain and Italy. Reception were helpful if anything was missing.

Absolutely everything. Location, the apartment and everything we needed was in it. All the staff are so helpful and kind. Nothing is too hard. Great pool with very friendly Lifeguard. Local restaurants are not too far, supermarkets just across the road. Great gym very nearby, tennis, pool, table tennis too. This was our second time in El Marques Palace in Puerto de Santiago and we cannot wait to go back. We miss it already. Forgot to add that a complimentary bottle of wine is waiting for you in your room when you arrive :).

The rooms were spotlessly clean 🙌 The accommodation was very spacious, with enough equipment for a family. The views were pretty and the air-con worked well. The large balcony was a treat to sit and enjoy a family meal. The hotel is opposite Lidl 😊 which is perfect when self catering! It was extremely convenient for us.

The double bed mattress was very uncomfortable as it sagged a lot. I came home with a very sore back. The road was noisy behind. However, I use earplugs so I was ok. As long as you shut the windows it should be alright.

The apartments are massive! Really fresh, clean and has all you could want! Second bathroom a godsend especially as 5 of us staying! Beds very comfortable.

Didn’t appear to be a clear cleaning routine…maybe it’s because we had teenagers sleeping late but I never knew which days were cleaning days or if I was supposed to give a signal. Got all we needed though by stopping cleaning ladies for towels and to ask them to clean but it was all a bit impromptu. We didn’t need or want cleaning every day or second day anyway but just to know…
