Our stay at RIU Garoé was fantastic. This is a great hotel with great facilities. It was clean throughout, and the daily cleaning staff were brilliant! The hotel is well designed and well laid out with little relaxation areas peppered throughout and facilities for fun like the pool, mini golf, tennis, squash, a playground, gym, and sauna! One point we wanted to highlight was the quality of the hotel staff, in particular Sonia, in the restaurant. Not only is she very good at her job, but she was incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially to our 6-month-old baby ❤️ She made our stay so much more memorable, and we're grateful for that. Shout out also to David and the rest of the staff in the hotel. The hotel is also good value for money and the location is good for families. It's on the outskirts of the town but close enough that you can walk to the centre if you wish. Taxis are very easy to get though, the hotel can arrange one for you as well. 10/10! Would highly recommend RIU Garoé!

Very nice and quiet hotel with good food and high service level. Rooms were perfect too. The walking distance to the city center was also a big advantage. You can use shuttle bus as well for free. Puerto de la Cruz is very nice town. Loro Park is great for children and adults.

Aside from the ability to play games with the kids like table tennis, lawn tennis, or mini golf, there were no other programs or entertainment/animations for children. Internet speed was also too slow for smooth streaming or syncing large files. In the swimming pool even small soft ball is forbidden.

Very well managed hotel, excellent attention to detail. Staff work very hard and are very attentive. Buffet breakfast & dinner exceeded expectations with a good choice and variety of food. Meals were well prepared and everything was spotlessly clean and well presented. Great facilities too, with lots of space to hang out and relax. Rooms were tasteful, well presented and equipped with nothing looking tired or due for a refurb. We were really impressed with this hotel, an excellent choice (probably the best) if you’re staying in the north of the island. RIU Garoe is definitely a four star hotel. Sadly many other hotels these days promote themselves as being four star when clearly they’re not! This is a big problem and very misleading. Pound for pound I’d say this hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed in. A big ‘well done and thank you’ to Hotel RIU Garoe!

Switching reservation at a hotel in the south Tenerife to Hotel RIU Garoé. It was a wise thing to do。 The most impressive of this hotel was its staff。 They are nice, courteous and attentive。Some are extraordinary friendly and helpful like Ana Delia and Nerea who gave us of so much valuable advice on sightseeing planning and restaurant recommendation。 We were very grateful they arranged early access to dining room for breakfast so we could catch up flight。 Very clean throughout the hotel。 Hotel is located at nice neighborhood, short walking distance to botanical garden and center of Puerto de la Cruz, Entire atmosphere at the hotel was relaxing and pleasant。 We will definitely choose Hotel RIU Garoe for our future vacation stay.

If dinner could be improved a bit.

I had an exceptional stay at Riu Garoe. The breathtaking views from my room made each morning a delight, and the hotel's overall ambiance was truly relaxing. The cleanliness was impeccable-every corner was spotless, and the attention to detail was evident. What truly stood out was the excellent customer service. Breakfast was the best l've had, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options, and dinner was even better-every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. Great hotel, brilliant staff (Natalia & Leonardo in restaurant in particular) spacious, clean rooms that were well serviced. Good food selection, nice clean swimming pool, plenty of space - the hotel met our Riu brand expectations. thank you.

Some facilities not available, hair dresser etc. Some of the facility equipment a bit old (mini golf, darts) more board games would be great.

Everything was wonderful, the room, the pool, the food and the staff, all were at a high standard. I liked the fresh food that was prepared every evening, each time a different one. I think I gained some weigth since I couldn't stop eating :)

Some sets of personal hygene, like shower cap, toothpaste, etc, would be highly welcomed.

Our room AC was smelly, questionable how do they maintain those, it was also loud and not really cooled anything down, however it was definitely better when you entered to the room compared to what temperature was outside!

My wife and me had an incredible stay at this hotel! The staff was absolutely amazing, always there to assist with any questions or requests we had. The food was exceptional, with a wide range of delicious options that left our taste buds satisfied. The facilities were perfect, from the well-appointed rooms to the fantastic pool and spa. And let's not forget the hotel's stunning beauty, both in its architecture and interior design. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. We picked it as our honeymoon destination and we highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay!

Everything was perfect

Everything was amazing! Our family opted for half board and was a really good choice. Breakfast and dinner were superb with a wide range of choices. All was very tasted! Staff was super friendly (Rachel was extra helpful) and they accommodated our requests, especially for the baby. Room was super clean (thanks Domi!) and was the perfect size for us. The balcony had an incredible view especially during sunrise and sunset. We had few SPA treatments as well and the people were lovely and price was a deal! Swimming pool was super well organised and there was a swimming pool for children as well. My baby had great fun in it! We will definitely go back in the next years. Very satisfied 🙏❤️
