The hotel is right in the heart of the old city, 200 metres or so from the Cathedral and Alcazar. Despite a potentially noisy environment, the lobby areas are a haven of tranquility. We did not have the breakfast, but we enjoyed the rooftop terrace with fabulous nighttime views of the illuminated cathedral. Our room was very comfortable and well supplied with unguents, and a mini bar.

Given the layout of rooms on several levels off essentially small courtyards, there was inevitable noise of strongly sprung bedroom doors shutting, and our room looked over an area where breakfast was being served, so guest conversation was fairly audible

Location is the best

Dated interiors. This hotel needs a major refresh. Sofa fabric was worn and dirty. Bed was comfortable but the bed cover was worn and stained.

Plenty of character. Roof top pool. Free afternoon tea. Superb location. Friendly staff. Spacious room for three (Superior Room). Aircon. Note left in room with bubbles on arrival. Even had hair straighteners and clothes steamer in room. Large bathroom. Classy toiletries. Thick robe and slippers. Late check out.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like… would have worked better if there were more sunbeds on decking for rooftop pool instead of table and chairs and more towels. Both easily solvable and certainly didn’t intervene with our stay / just an observation.

Pricey, yes; but you get what you pay for! The staff are super polite and competent, also in English. The location of the hotel was as central as you can get. The overall structure of the hotel couldn't be better! A marvelous, well maintained historic building that truly made you feel like you were staying in a certain star hotel. The afternoon complimentary aperitif, in the central foyer beneath the grand chandelier was a pleasant surprise, and so were the almost daily "gifts" left in our room by the staff. Head to the roof pool area to enjoy a stunning view of the Giralda before heading to bed, was another bonus that needs clear mention! Will definitely return.

The rooms are small, but i feel the space could have been managed better. Maybe some more shelves, or more hooks/hanging space for clothes. Similarly it could do with some dedicated space for our suitcase which we had dumped on the floor, by the door. Hopefully if they ever need to renovate, they can increase closet space, by eating into the overly big toilets.

Astounding Review for Casa 1800 Our stay at Casa 1800 was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in charm and luxury. The room was absolutely stunning, a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. We were touched to find a handwritten note and complimentary champagne waiting for us in celebration of our anniversary. This thoughtful gesture truly made us feel special and set the tone for a memorable stay. The location was ideal, placing us right in the heart of everything while still feeling like a serene escape. The highlight for us was the jacuzzi bath, which added an extra layer of indulgence to our experience. One of my personal favorites was the complimentary coffee and afternoon snack—such a lovely touch that added warmth and hospitality to our visit. Casa 1800 exceeded all expectations, and we cannot wait to return. It’s a place that leaves an impression long after you’ve left. Highly recommended!

There was absolutely nothing we didn’t enjoy about our stay at Casa 1800. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. It’s rare to find a place where everything exceeds expectations, but Casa 1800 truly delivered perfection.

The Hotel is situated in a central location within easy walking distance to the Cathedral and other main sights. The staff were helpful and friendly throughout all our dealings with them, and we particularly enjoyed the complimentary late afternoon tea/snacks which helped to rejuvenate our weary sight-seeing legs. We would most certainly recommend or stay here again !

No complaints. There is a popular bar not far from the entrance to the hotel which, at busy times, you can hear when the front sliding doors of the hotel are open, whilst the bar itself has a great atmosphere serving tapas and amazingly cheap beer !

Really great choice. Right in the heart of the pedestrian area (and the old “Jewish Quarter”) around the cathedral, the room on the first floor was large and elegant with two giant crystal chandeliers and had a balcony looking right over all of the night activities. The balcony however had two layers of operable doors that completely shut out the noise. The bathroom had two sinks, a bidet and a nice tub shower and unlike most half glass doors, did not result in water going everywhere. Lots of hot water and good bath products. The electrical is “old style” so bring your chargers. Coffee and a hot water pot in the room. We had breakfast at the hotel one morning which was good but there are so many good restaurants within a 3-6 block radius I would not make it your only choice. There is a great roof deck for drinks and snacks with a pool but it was a bit chilly this time of year. Staff was always helpful and arranged a taxi to the airport which brought him right to the front door (which is difficult because of the pedestrian area). If we had one niggle, it was the two twins rather than a king but perhaps we slept better🤣.

Really liked the hotel, the staff and the location is amazing. The staff were very helpful. Great breakfast and facilities. Honestly the good herr far out-weighs any bad. It's a really beautiful building and a great place to stay.

The room not having a window to outside was an issue for us as the room easily got too hot, the staff were happy to turn the A/C mode on to sort this problem out, we had to ask for it each day though, perhaps the system resets to the default winter setting. This was really the only downside, the hotel was excellent for the location and price and problem was mitigated.

Incredibly close to the cathedral/giralda as well as the alcazar. Hotel was beautiful. Rooms were clean. Service was great. Our train to Sevilla arrived early. We were greated with glasses of cava and offers to hold our luggage until the room was ready. Later during our stay we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, that day we had a complimentary bottle of cava chilling in our room when we came back that afternpon. We asked for a recommendation for a romantic dinner. They recommended a restaurant called El Traga, a 10 min walk away. They called and set up the reservation for us. Dinner was amazing. Food was delicious and service was impeccable.

It was unclear what was included and what was not. We saw a sign advertising breakfast and merienda (snack/tea) hours. We assumed they were both extra so we chose to go out to local cafes instead. Realized toward the end of our stay that merienda was included so we went down for coffee and bites. I assumed that meant breakfast was also included, so I went down our last day for breakfast. It was very basic, continental, similar to the offerings at merienda but if was 18€ per person. It was perfectly nice but I had enjoyed a hot breakfast at a local cafe for 2 for the same price. In short, the hotel was wonderful but it was unclear what was and was not included.

All the facilities were excellent. Lovely room, comfortable bed, spacious and cool, but the standout feature was the food - great breakfast and even complimentary afternoon tea and a bottle of fizz in your room. Fab location yet quiet and with very attentive staff. It's not the cheapest, but if you can stretch your budget, go for it. We certainly will if and when we come back.

If you like a hotel evening meal and a bar (unlikely in this area), it's not much of a menu. But that's being picky.
