**Hotel Review** I had a wonderful stay at this hotel recently and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. The staff were extremely helpful and tried their best to be cheerful, even during busy or exhausting times, which I truly appreciated. The environment of the hotel was beautiful, and I especially loved the fact that there were three restaurants on the property itself—a great convenience! Each restaurant had amazing staff who made the dining experience even more enjoyable. However, the rooftop restaurant stood out as my absolute favorite. It had a romantic ambiance, perfect for a relaxing dinner, and the food was incredible. The buffet breakfast was another highlight—delicious and well-prepared. The rooftop pool was clean and added a nice touch to the experience, though it was quite small. The housekeeping team was also fantastic, ensuring that our room was always spotless and comfortable. A special shoutout to *Inshaf*, who generously upgraded our room free of charge to what felt like a cozy one-room apartment. I loved the spaciousness and comfort of the upgraded room. The reception team was equally accommodating, allowing us a free late check-out and even letting us stay in one room when they needed the other, which was a thoughtful gesture that I greatly appreciated. The only issue I faced during my stay was with the ironing service. We had to request an iron every day, and once we were finished, the staff would collect it again. Additionally, the irons provided were a bit difficult to operate, which ended up taking more time than necessary. Despite this small inconvenience, I had an amazing stay and would definitely choose this hotel again whenever I visit Sri Lanka. The kindness and hospitality of the staff, including those at the restaurants, reception, and housekeeping, truly made this experience memorable. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

Iron

The location of MaRadha is right in front of Marine Drive and excellent place to stay in Colombo. Everything is within close proximity, great Indian Ocean view with the rail tracks along the way. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their respective duties towards guests. The Healing Cafe Siddique was very welcoming ,Pradeep at The Roof Top Restaurant served exceptional food and beverages , Breakfast Area and of course the Guided Tour provided by Udesha was phenomenal!

There is nothing Negative about here to say!

Very attentive staff, easy booking and check in. Room good size, lovely bathroom Comfy large bed, good quality sheets and pillows. Towels a bit tired. Breakfast first class, lots of choice, great choice of lovely food. Loved the roof top pool to cool off in. Happy hour for drinks. Easy to get transport either ordering car or tuk on pick me or taking local train into city centre

Not in the most scenic area! Although by the sea it's pretty run down with derelict empty building site next door. No access to a beach area ! Sea.. Views not great. Music in roof top bar is overpowering and drove me away..I would have spent more money in the bar otherwise ! The pool is closed at 4/ 5pm!!! Why..?

I recently had an exceptional stay and couldn't be more pleased! Everything was amazing—from the luxurious room to the friendly staff and delicious food. The hospitality truly stood out, and I want to extend a special thank you to Mr. Imthiyaz and Ms. Thaindi for their outstanding service. I also want to express my gratitude to the gentleman who checked us in at 1:30 AM with a big smile, though unfortunately, I didn't catch his name. His warm welcome set the tone for our entire stay. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway!

We were greeted by the exceptionally hospitable Mr. Inshaaf Amaan, front office executive, during check-in. He checked back with us at breakfast every morning to ensure our comfort. He also gave me his contact details, and he responds very quickly to any concerns you may have. Restaurant staff were also commendable, especially the gentleman at the omelette station. Another staff member worthy of mention is the housekeeping lady. I bought my wife some flowers and we left it in the room, she took it upon herself to put it in some water. It was very touching. I have stayed at multiple larger hotels in Colombo, including Marino Beach, Granbell Hotel and the Courtyard by Marriot - but the lengths the staff at MaRadha go to is unmatched (a true seven-star experience). The staff did their best with the facility they have. They were incredibly flexible and really did put our needs first. They were accommodating with each and everything. I don't remember asking for something and not receiving it. The facilities were good too. Great views from the rooftop bar, and restaurant. Pay attention to the finer details regarding the pool. Also breakfast options are a subjective matter. All elements of a western/continental breakfast are on the buffet selection. I was also pleasantly surprised by room-posting. Which is not something even larger hotel chains in South Asia provide anymore (due to obvious reasons) and I hope no one abuses this, but this level of trust was nice. The hotel is geared towards limiting waste, so you have to ask for most items - minibar, amenities and even water. Which was not a problem for us, as we received whatever we asked for very quickly.

Nothing really, it was great value for the money. But if I was to nit-pick, if you travel to larger hotels then the fact that there isn't a dedicated service elevator might be something you notice. It never bothered us, and we did not have to wait too long for the elevator at any time.

Initially, I was disappointed upon arrival due to a crowded, small lobby with no seating, which led me to cancel the remaining two nights. However, realizing it was a busy weekend with no alternatives, I returned to the hotel. Mr. Shahid and the morning and evening staff warmly welcomed me back, offered a complimentary breakfast buffet, and made me feel emotionally comfortable. Their hospitality, especially the caring attitude of the ladies on duty won’t be forgotten (though I’ve lost their names during my flight), truly made it feel like home. Highly recommended!

The lobby should have tourist information available, as I was unaware of the free access to the nearest beach. Additionally, the pool hours should be extended—many guests arrive after a day of work and would like to relax & swim, so closing it at 5 PM is too early.

The location was perfect and loved the view from my room. Staff were helpful overall, bit hit or miss--there was a train strike and I could have used more help getting information on the rest of my trip (not their fault at all, but just could have been more helpful).

As above. The room was a bit tired, outlets hanging out of the wall, cracks and things falling apart in corners, that kind of thing. The common areas were very clean. Breakfast was good--please start serving proper coffee (you have a machine!) rather than nescafe. They could use more seating by the little pool--the chairs that are there are always occupied, so there's nowhere to leave your things.

MaRadha Colombo is definitely a fantastic hotel. A must go. Superb location, excellent buffet and cozy rooms. However that being said, the best part of the hotel is the staff. I was bumped up to a suite and I don't know why. Extremely friendly and will go out of the way to make you feel comfortable. A special thanks to Mr. Induwara who other than being an excellent member of the staff, was also helpful to me in planning the rest of my stay in Srilanka. Right from guiding me with transportation to suggesting places. Once again hats off to the staff. It's guys like you who actually make it great. Cheers!!

The Staff were wonderful The room and shower was excellent They awarded us a free breakfast :) Can't stress enough how great the staff are

The food wasn't the best for example the curry I had as an evening meal was great flavour etc but the chicken was just full of bones it was akin to having to eat rabbit. I tried the Pork next evening, and that was so fatty. Can't blame the chef IMHO as it seems Managment have decided to keep the cost low by using cheap cuts of meat. Our fault but we spent to long in Colombo, I think one or two nights here would be fine but any longer look at spending a bit more and staying near the Dutch Hospital area.

Am always staying there each time am traveling to sri lanka it always amazing place to stay very clean and the staff is amazing ' just a smile small thing that restaurant stay need to be more focus mostly during breakfast' last day i ask a waiter if possible i can take my breakfast to the rooms but he was telling NO WITH A SPEED just like that NO I was waiting so i can speak to the supervisor and same waiter come again to me ask me YES CAN I HELP YOU as he already know my problem after he told wait he will ask the supervisor 🙄🙄The supervisor comes with a smile very professionally he say yes no problem. The waiter that for you... Am a restaurant manager but you was under pressure this morning in a service you should try to be more attentive to your guest no matter what you are so busy or under pressure because i can see you was really under pressure greeting your guests nice and you show me a angry face 😠😠😠😠 Répétions Shiva you thank you very professional Lady who done my check out thank so much to answer all.
