I was welcomed by the whole staff. My flight arrived early and they rushed through a room clean up and had me installed in a room two hours before check in time. The staff here are exceptional. From the bell hops, the reception staff, the cafe staff, the waiters, bar staff, housekeeping , and chefs really looked out for my needs and wants. They always greeted me with a smile. The facilities are great with room service, pool and the sky bar as extras that cost no extra. They had a cleaning service that was quick and professional.

The only thing I did not like was that I could not stay longer. Seriously though I did not have any problems with the Hotel

Very good hotel. The male receptionist (whose name I have forgotten sadly) was superb. He did everything to make sure the stay was good, even relocating me on the top floor. The hotel is a decent 4 star hotel and has high standards

I had numerous problems with WiFi which were not resolved despite complaining at least 6 times (I needed WiFi to work). It was the same receptionist who sorted out a new router. Compare him to the managing director who said he would come to see me within 'ten minutes '. I never saw him, so if the man at the top can't be bothered with customers, why should the other staff care?

Great rooms with lots of amenities. Professional and courteous staff. The cafe downstairs is always welcome. Amazing central location. Value for money.

Absolutely outstanding service at Pearl Grand. We stayed for 2 nights before travelling around Sri Lanka and this was one of the best in terms of service. The location is quite good in Colombo with plenty of places in walking distance. The rooftop bar and pool make a fantastic place to relax and the ground floor Cafe makes a good latte and is stocked with delicious food. The real gem here is the staff. This is an incredibly well priced accommodation, but the service is 5-star. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is welcoming and helpful, and you can have a bit of fun with the team also. We loved it so much we cancelled our other hotel in Colombo for the end of the trip to come back here. This will be our first choice for every trip to Colombo. Thank you Pearl Grand team. We have loved every moment.

Enjoyed the two night stay. Convenient to walk around as important places were nearby. Appreciate the hospitality received from the staff. Hope to back again.

Some furnitures like wardrobe seems damaged and needs to replace. Found lot of bugs from some areas (i.e table under the tv). Can improve restaurant menu.

I had an excellent experience staying at Pearl Grand by Rathna. It's somewhat of an undiscovered treasure, especially when you consider its affordability and the building's age. The hotel provides all the essentials, including outstanding WiFi. The coffee shop downstairs is perfect for getting some work done, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. Although the gym is small, it offers enough space to get moving, and the pool and rooftop are perfect for cooling down.

If we need any assistance like transportation, get good cooperation from the hotel. Recomended to stay. 10/10

Mini safe and TV is not working in room. And if we need to take some sneaks in the room, there are no sneaks or soft drinks except water in the mini bar. Anyways, excelent, 10/10.

Fantastic service, and great facilities overall. Waiters were extremely kind. Great pool on the roof! Dinner and breakfast excellent.

Some parts of the hotes not that modern any more (e.g. gym, floors).

The room was agood size and very clean. The bed was comfortable with a fridge and complimentary water. The pool, and bar were fantastic with excellent staff, who allowed us to store our luggage before check in and after check out. Location was good. Good value for money.

The only down side was a lack of furniture on the balcony, as we couldn't sit out there.

Separate services like food bills can't be billed to the room. You have to pay for services like this seperately everytime which is inconvenient.
