I did an extended stay at Oasis for four weeks; Ms. Ganga, the owner, and the residents of the house were all incredibly kind and accommodating. Ms. Ganga, in particular, was very attentive in making sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay - getting medicine when I was sick, allowing me to do a late checkout, and offering me tea whenever she was around. Needing to be let in, as other guests mentioned, was not an issue regardless of the time of day (you need to ring the doorbell every time you return). Similarly, it does cost extra to get Sri Lankan breakfast, but that is reasonable considering it is homemade. I was in Sri Lanka for work and Oasis was exactly what I needed - as advertised, easy to get to, quiet area, and all the necessary amenities (laundry, good AC, private bathroom, filtered water). Thank you so much to everyone at Oasis for a pleasant stay!

Very suitable place for people who prefer quite and calm surrounding.its clean.

(1) Accebility is poor ( as narrow 70 meter passage takes to the main door. (2) Proper sign boards need to display specially first timer guests arriving late. In the night. (3) Entry and exit is not free passage. Every time knock / put call bell to call house keeper to open the door. No main door key is provided to guest for smooth exit and entrance. (4)A digital card at the main door is required ( for the convenience of guests aswell) for better service. (5) English communication is required for staff. (6) Professional uniform is needed for staff. (8) Clarity of breakfast is needed: Only butter toast and omelette is served as free breakfast. Other items in the breakfast menu is chargeable.

Breakfast was adequate. The hotel/house was very tastefully decorated and we had a kettle and fridge/mini-bar in the room after I had requested it. The staff, especially Ganga, were very good but it took a little effort to communicate with the elderly "couple".

Main problem was the lack of restaurants, cafes and bars in the surrounding area. BOOKING.com stated that there were 3 places nearby but they must have closed because it was "off season" or they lied, which is also a possibility - lots of incorrect information about what's in a room etc. We took a tuk tuk to Kotte Road, for 2 of the 3 evenings, to find a restaurant - well worth the time & money (Shanghai Terrace) but would have preferred to walk to somewhere closer. The road leading to the hotel was full of puddles after the rain and we had lots of it ! Maybe tarmac or something else would get rid of this problem. Our taxi drivers (coming and going) had trouble finding the hotel although there were signs - very easy once you spot them ...

Spacious room with aircond. You own the whole upstairs' space including the kitchen, living room, bathroom and a balcony to hang your clothes. The lady host is kind enough to cook me instant noodles for dinner on arrival. And advise me to get a private taxi driver to the airport as PickMe driver may charge extra. Perfect stay to rest and replenish energy from travel

Room is fully furnished, with all amenities - TV, AC, towels, blankets, table, chair, extra plug points, flat TV, water bottles, free Wifi. The bathroom is equally good with 24 hours hot water, soap, shampoo, hand wash, etc. Entire property is very well maintained, neat and clean, kudos to the hardwork of the manager and the old care taker couple. They are very friendly and welcoming. They take care of you as their home guest. The best part is the breakfast, which aunty cooks, extremely delicious. And they offer good breakfast options you can choose from. It is served with tea/coffee/juice, as per our choice. It is located in a silent residential area. The location is very close to Cargills supermarket, some good food points, including McDonalds, a Budhist spiritual centre, all in walkable distance. It is 10-15 minutes from the central business area and the National Hospital area, well connected by bus, as well. I have stayed at over 10 different properties in Sri Lanka over the last 2 years, but this I would rate to be the best from all angles. This would be my first preference in future.

Homestay style in a large house. Manager Ganga is nice and kind. On-site staff Andie is a good cook. If you pay an additional 500 Rupees for egg and toast, you can have a Sri Lankan breakfast. If you have any requests or problems, they will deal with them immediately.

The property was nice and clean. Mrs. Ganga took good care of us. Thanks to Ganga madam.

Not a separate kitchen like a gas stove. Then the pressure pump is also a little bit noisy when you tap ON. Otherwise very very Good property.

The staff were amazing. They agreed to do a super late check in and were very kind. Great value for money.

The sheets were a little dirty but wasn’t the worst I have seen! Didn’t bother asking them to change it was manageable. The entrance also wasn’t easy to get into.

A quiet night’s rest! Loved it. I booked my stay at Oasis Colombo at the last minute. All I really wanted was a decent sleep as I had some plans in Colombo from next morning. I got my wish. An undisturbed, quiet nights’ sleep in a cozy room! A quick cab ride to the city was arranged within 10 minutes of my request. Loved Sri Lankan food! The String Hoppers with Dhal Curry breakfast was awesome! Suited my vegetarian routine. Spicy but not too hot. Staff was supportive and friendly. They also respected my privacy. Overall, a great stay. Very happy to recommend the place.
