Friendly staff. They do what they can to make your stay comfortable. They always smile.

In the elevator they advertise 20% off your meal in the roof top restaurant, but when you ask for it they say it is an old promotion and not offered now. But it was still advertised for the whole week I was there.

The staff were absolutely wonderful—always friendly, helpful, and welcoming with warm smiles. Both managers were very cooperative and attentive, ensuring our stay was comfortable. One of them even arranged chai for us at breakfast upon our request, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The breakfast spread was excellent—generous, fresh, and had a good variety. I looked forward to it every morning. The manager also kindly accommodated our request for a late checkout at a very affordable rate, which shows their commitment to guest satisfaction. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely consider staying again. The location is convenient, and the hotel has a nice ambiance. There is a laundry place nearby, which is reasonable. Overall, it was a very pleasant and heartwarming experience.

I would rate Trillium Hotel 4 stars, not 5, only because there is still room for improvement in some areas. The rooms need a bit of update, they were clean but not up to the 5star standard. The housekeeping staff did a great job but toiletries and towels were not replenished, reminders were required. A few improvements in room amenities and overall maintenance would bring it up to a 5-star level. Still, the genuine hospitality of the team made a lasting impression.

Location and facility

Unfortunately, the room provided did not match our reservation. We were initially offered a twin bedroom with two separate beds pushed together, which was inconvenient. This has happened multiple times during my visits to Sri Lanka, including stays in Panadura and Mount Lavinia. Many Sri Lankan hotels undervalue local customers' booking through platforms like Booking.com, focusing more on profits than customer satisfaction. After voicing our concerns, the property manager took immediate steps to rectify the issue, and we are grateful for his prompt response. However, such recurrent issues indicate a lack of attention to customer needs, which Hotel Management should address.

Easy access, helpful staff in housekeeping, bar/restaurant. Ayoma and the housekeeping team did a great job. Harsha and team from the pool bar were excellent. Duminda from housekeeping was the most helpful..he never said no to any requests we made and would go out of the way to satisfy us. Sadly... the only person who was professional and welcomed us was Dhanushka..amazing personality...I'd recruit him to my own business... He should be in a higher position..the lady receptionists are a nighmare....never helpful... just sitting like Barby dolls..very fake approach... The GM Gerard, I think his name was...is very helpful and courteous....

The location was close to most places in Colombo area so it was good. The staff were very nice, they were quick to attend to our requests. The bed was very comfortable and the toilets were clean. They charged a little bit extra by mistake when we checked in, the manager paid us a visit the next day with an apology and a refund, I appreciated that very much. The buffet breakfast was good, and the pizzas are very nice.

The photos on the website does not reflect the condition of the hotel now. It's a bit rundown and wide angle photos make everything appear much larger than what they really were. especially the room photos and pool. But it's alright, our stay was good because the staff were really nice.

location and roof top view were the reasons I chose this property and both were excellent. very close to the restaurant lifes good kitchen and easy to walk to independence Square. views from Upper terrace were great, especially in the evening. Staff at reception and at roof top were very helpful and friendly (one of bar team especially stood out but I failed to get his name) Rooms were a good size with plenty of storage but not much hanging space. Shower pressure was good with plenty of hot water

Annoying to have to pay as you go st the bar and cant charge to room. info says they accept Amex but their machine wasn't working so I had to find alternative payment method which was annoying. Quality of linen and towels in the rooms were poor / worn. hand towel was virtually see through. no hooks or hanging rail in the bathroom so impossible to dry swimwear. WiFi very spasmodic and dropped out frequently Nice toiletries in the bathroom but no tissues!.Kettle and tea /coffee but no teaspoons. shower for the pool was down a flight of steps and along a corridor so a total slip hazard and feet carried more dirt into the police than the shower washed off! chicken sandwich turned out to be a mayonnaise sandwich with virtually no chicken. 20gm maximum

The location was really nice - it’s a short tuk-tuk ride away from some locations and it’s really quiet. The swimming pool was great! It was a nice way to get away from the heat. The staff is also really helpful and friendly. They also gave me a welcome drink

The making thing was the hot water pressure - it was pretty non-existent, which is a little sad. The hotel itself has some wear and tear, but it wasn’t a big deal. But beware that you will hear your neighbours REALLY well, especially if they REALLY love each other (if you know what I mean)

I recently stayed at the Trillium City Hotel, and overall, it was a great experience! The location is fantastic—right by the City view, with stunning views from the balcony. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with modern decor and comfortable bedding. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options, though the restaurant service could be a bit slow during peak hours. The pool area was lovely and it provides panoramic views of the city, offering a relaxing spot for us.

With stunning views of the city skyline, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a drink, or simply relax. The rooms were spacious, modern, and well-appointed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with soft linens and plenty of pillows for a restful night’s sleep. The bathroom was very clean. This hotel truly provides a perfect balance of luxury, comfort, and convenience, with a personal touch that sets it apart from others.
