We stayed at Sunrise Boutique for about 9 days and it definitely was a highlight of our trip. The place is beautifully furnished in Colonial antiques, has all the amenities needed and the exceptionally lovely staff members like Nigel make this place a perfect home away from home. We bought some King Coconuts at the top of the road and the staff were really nice to prepare it for us and anything we requested to make our stay comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom/ toilet was clean and lovely. The lighting is a tad dim for makeup but that’s expected for older themed houses. The location wasn’t a great issue because we had hired a vehicle for the trip and even if we didn’t you can easily Uber or use Pick Me, the rates are very cheap. Only issue might be the traffic when it rains or during peak times. There’s a petrol shed and 24hrs supermarket within walking distance from Sunrise Boutique. We were sad to leave the staff and this gorgeous home. Will definitely stay here again if we come back to Colombo.

The accomodation was excellent. Airport pickup and drop-offs were organised and staff stayed up to let me in as my flight arrived at night. The house is furnished with beautiful period furniture and the room was spacious and aircon worked a dream. Breakfast is available on request and everyone was very helpful. Highly recommend.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

We stayed at Sunrise boutique for two nights right as we arrived in Sri Lanka and it was the best place to start our journey. Mr Suharto is an experienced travel agent with so much knowledge and insight about the island, he offered us guidance on the best routes to take as we were driving, recommended less touristy beaches to visit and thanks to him we had a safe ride and followed his advice, ending up at one of the nicest beaches we’ve ever been to. He also graciously shared maps and lots of suggestions for places to visit. The rooms were well maintained, clean with own bathrooms and really comfortable beds. If you’re looking for a comfortable stay, at a convenient location and good company, this is a good option.

The owner, Neel ensured a hassle free check-in on arrival. The property is located in a peaceful neighborhood and has many eateries nearby. The staff was courteous and it was good value for money. It's a homestay and not a hotel that makes it perfect for travelers looking for a homely environment.

I arrived there at night and got a very warm welcome. Then I saw my room and was totally in awe. So big, so clean, so beautiful furniture and also the amazing big bathroom and private balcony. You can also have breakfast there at a nice big table "for all the family". Staff helped me also to find out what to do during my two days there and organized tuktuk and driver/car for me. I felt like being with really good friends who did everything to make me feel comfortable and at the same time left me my privacy. I had fantastic two days there. Recommend 100 %.

It was a little further to central Colombo than we realised, but still very accessible.

As a solo female traveller in Sri Lanka, this was my first stay. The place is really well kept and has a great ambiance, the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated and include clean private bathrooms with hot showers. There is little noise from the city and the place is tucked away from the busy centre but is a short ride away from everything! Last but not least, the staff is incredibly welcoming and will go above and beyond to make you feel at home away from home.
