Did a lot of research before deciding to go with this and wow I'm so glad I chose Peacock villa. This is basically their home which they operate as accommodation. I read through many reviews and compared with the other hotel that I almost booked with but in the end went with my heart and also cos there was a pool. I arrived from Ella on the day where my yala safari was cancelled by an irresponsible operator and so I was scrambling for a last minute shared taxi to Mirissa. Luckily when I arrived, I felt the hospitality from Charindu, the man who responds to yr messages on booking.com etc. I was served iced coffee which was great. I was then shown to my room which was a Deluxe Double located on the ground floor in the next building. There is a safe, fridge which were quite essential to me as I bought beer from outside n so was able to refrigerate it. WiFi worked well n I was able to use my phone. Everyday, breakfast is served right beside the pool (unfortunately I only managed to have it 1 day by the pool as it was occupied by other guests). There are 3 choices - English n Sri Lankan with coconut roti or Sri Lankan with roti n dhal curry n coconut sombal. I stayed 3n so was able to try all 3. The villa is located just a short walk from the main street n Mirissa beach. Nearby are also famous eateries such as Dewmini and Dhana’s curry. The pool is a respite from the heat at the end of the day. I visited in early Jul n was afraid of bad weather but luckily I had great weather throughout. Although there were other guests, it nv felt overcrowded. During breakfast on 2 occasions, I saw monkeys n a monitor lizard passing by. Although I didn't open the balcony, bugs still came in but I understand this is all part n parcel when staying in an outdoor accommodation. Charindu is a great host n I would recommend the villa!

We didn't like to see the hosts beautiful Golden Labrador cooped up in his pound all day, we also didn't like that the hosts did a fumigation while we were there with no warning. This was to keep the mosquito population down but guests should have been warned of the chemicals. The fumigation caused clouds of white dust (literally) which we couldn't even see through from our rooms, the dust was that thick. Not safe for anyone who had asthma, respiratory issues. Understand if it needed to be done but guests should have been given notice and the option to leave premises while fumigation was being done.

from the moment we arrived at the villa, was throughtly impressed. the villa has lots to offer, lovely deorations. Rooms were spaciuos , clean, and tastefully deocrated. it offers comfort and style. what really stood out was the exceptional staff, friendly and professional. made us feel so comfortable and safe. we enjoyed our stay enjoying the pool, and relaxing , away from the city crowd. breakfast was great... good varitey... comfortable beds, great linen and other stuff. its run by a family so it has a personal touch , the host were very helpful. everyone we encountered were welcoming , polite and always had a smile on the face. highly recommend this villa for a memorable stay.

Me and my partner originally booked 3 nights, but we were so satisfied we decided to cancel other bookings and extend our stay in Peacock Villa for 3 more nights. Staff was very helpful and polite, they always helped with ordering tuktuks. When we arrived very late, they made us coffee, no questions asked. Breakfast was amazing, we could choose from 3 options each morning. Pool is very clean and the surroundings are beautiful. The view from our balcony was our favorite part - the jungle and a lot of monkeys (visiting us on balcony), birds, and trees full of fireflies😍 Beach was only 10 minutes walking distance. We highly recommend this place and would always come back!

This property is immaculate. There is not one thing I think could be improved. Its location is perfect, 10 minute walk to the beach front. The pool is spotless with sun loungers and towels provided (beach towels also provided for when you want to go to the beach). The building is modern and looks new! The aircon in the room is strong, the shower is hot and powerful and the room is cleaned to a high standard. Big balcony and you can see monkeys around the outside of the building! The staff are lovely and couldn’t do more for you! I will definitely return! Our favourite accomodation which we stayed at in Sri Lanka!

Peacock Villa is such a restful and friendly place. We have enjoyed our stay so much The room was comfortable and we slept so well and the shower was fabulous, always lots of hot water. The staff went above and beyond. The location is perfect as it's only about 5 minutes walk to the main town with all the restaurant and coffee shops but the villa itself is situated on a quite street. The breakfasts were very good and reasonably priced and we could never finish them. All in all a fabulous place and we would highly recommend and would be our first choice if we were to come back.

The staff friendliness and hospitality was amazing, we felt very very taken care of. Communication was impeccable, the room was very comfortable, and the price was very good. We really liked how natural and peaceful it felt at Peacock Villa -- there were actual peacocks, monkeys, frogs, and fireflies to watch. Highly recommended! A hidden jewel!

I suppose the location was a little bit from the beach, but that also meant it was off the main busy road which was good. The breakfast was outstanding, but I didn't realize it was in USD and so it was a bit more expensive than I thought.

Peacock Villa,was spacious, clean, and tidy, with a comfortable bed soft pillows and beautiful linen. The room had air con and ceiling fan ensuring a restful night's sleep. The balcony overlooking the lush gardens was peaceful.  The host and staff were friendly and welcoming. The pool was sparkling clean, and the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area. A short trail led directly to the beach. The food was delicious, presented with artistic flair.  I was welcomed with a cup of ice coffee,. a lovely touch. I highly recommend the Peacock Villa in Mirissa to anyone looking for a beautuful relaxing Villa.  The well-presented rooms, beautiful gardens, and excellent service make it a truly special place to stay. Five stars is well deserved. 10/10

Beautiful property, everything was immaculate. Very spacious and well appointed room, the pool area is lovely and refreshing. Delicious breakfast by the pool with fresh fruit and the option of Sri Lankan or western breakfast. Great location - only 5-10 minute walk to the beach or a short tuk tuk ride. Staff were all so lovely and helpful. Good wifi and air conditioning. Free beach towels provided. They also give you glass water bottles in the room so you can refill them with filtered water at reception and save on single use plastic water bottles. Highly recommend this place for your stay in Mirissa!

I had an amazing stay for two weeks. The location has nearby access to the beach, restaurants and shops. Also another nice beach Welligama is within reach of 10 minutes by tuktuk. For me that was nice because of my surfing activities. Everyday an awesome breakfast was served including my diet wishes. Tips for sight seeing were given and even whole excursions arranged. The appointed cab driver took me all over key locations within Sri Lanka for a fair fee and great service. Much love and respect for Charindo who is the main host of the family run company. Last but not least the service and ambiance is relaxed and respectful. No pushing to do something, but just really thoughtful. It feels like you are in the middle of nature, seekng monkeys, birds and peacocks pass by. This is by far the best hotel in Mirrissa given the attention, quality and price. It would be a pleasure to come back! 🙏
