The stay was very comfortable. The room was huge with a nice big balcony, very clean and equipped with a bigger than usual fridge to store items. What we loved in particular was how sweet the staff is, they attended to our requests the best they could. Also plus point is that they iron your clothes for you for free! Breakfast was also very delicious!

The only thing that bothered us a bit was the mosquitos/moths that creeped in the room, most likely through the balcony door (there was a slit in the door). But we were able to manage by applying repellent. The wifi wasn't great but it worked!

The staff were so nice - really friendly and accommodating, they couldn’t do enough for us. The location is great, a very short walk off the main road from the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. It was lovely being amongst the trees and we had an amazing view of the tree tops from our balcony. The room and balcony are big with lots of room and it was very clean. The bed is absolutely huge and SO comfortable, possibly one of the best things about this hotel. The pool is lovely and relaxing, really clean and big so can have a good swim. The breakfast is exceptional. There was loads of choice with fresh fruit, juice, pancakes/waffles and eggs cooked how you like. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!

The WiFi wasn’t great but that didn’t bother us too much.

The outdoor area, including the pool, and the relatively quiet but central location of the hotel are great and are only topped by the very friendly and helpful staff, who create a very family-like atmosphere. The breakfast was also great and special needs were also taken into account. Another 'little' highlight was Diggy the dog, the charming, secret boss of the hotel.

The rooms themselves are spacious, including large balconies, but some of the furniture, doors and bathrooms are showing their age and are in need of renovation. Unfortunately, we also noticed a few cleanliness issues when we arrived, but these were immediately resolved without any problems.

We had a 2 night stay here and really could not have been more impressed. Madhu and her team greeted us kindly on our arrival. They were so welcoming and made us feel at home, i wasn't feeling very well and Madhu arranged a herbal remedy for me. We were very impressed with room, which was very spacious and just as shown in the pictures. There was great storage space. A well sized bathroom and a large fridge. Everything you could need. The balcony/terrace was one of the largest we have had. Breakfast was delicious, and the fruit was so fresh. the location is great. The property is set off the main road, which has immediate beach access to Mirissa Beach. (Quite literally only a few minute walk) the staff were so attentative and took such an interest in playing with our little girl. She thoroughly enjoyed the attention. We wish we found this place sooner so that we didn't bother staying at the marriott in weligama prior to this. If we are ever lucky enough to make our way back to Mirissa, we will definitely stay again.

We found the recommended laundry service a little on the expensive side. However this is no reflection on the hotel at all.

Die kamer was groot met 'n groot gemaklike bed. Ontbyt en etes was baie lekker wat hulle in jou kamer bedien. Die swembad is groot en baie lekker. Die hotel is naby die restaurante en winkels. Dis 'n heerlike hotel.

Ons het baie lekker gebly, maar word toe verras met deurnag partytjies wat gehou word by die swembad. Die plan was om 4 nagte daar oor te slaap, maar nadat ons vir 2 nagte nie kon slaap nie het ons uit geboek. Die dame by ontvangs het om verskoning gevra en verduidelik dat dit Booking.com is wat die besprekings van partytjies namens hulle doen. Ons verstaan dat Mirissa 'n vakansiedorp is, maar daar behoort 'n afsny tyd te wees om ander gaste ook in aanmerking te bring. Ek sal baie graag weer daar bly, ek hoop hulle kan die probleempie oplos.

A lovely lovely hotel with a particularly special pool and very very generously appointed rooms. And a shout out to all of the staff who looked after us brilliantly. I can’t recall her name (sorry) but the manager was wonderful and a credit to the whole establishment. Thank you! (Also we booked a whale tour with the hotel last minute because our original booking cancelled due to no sightings, and yet the tour delivered in full!) No hesitation in recommending this lovely venue.

I had the pleasure of spending a few days at this hotel and I must say that it was a fantastic experience. The breakfasts were great - varied, fresh and tasty, which made every morning start perfectly. The hotel is in a great location, away from the hustle and bustle of the main road, yet very close to the beach, which is ideal for those who want to relax by the sea. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, always ready to help and provide information. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable vacation in beautiful surroundings.

Loved this hotel! The room was spacious, clean and lovely large balcony. The pool was lovely too and staff were so friendly and helpful, breakfast was really good too! Fruit, eggs, toast and pancakes offered every day. Hotel was just a few minutes walk from the beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel! On our final day we left at 5am and the Manager got up to ensure our taxi arrived and that all was ok. Thank you to all the staff!! X

We had a lovely stay at Ballena Regency. Spacious room with a big, comfortable bed. Very clean and modern inside the room. Staff were helpful and let us leave our luggage in reception as we arrived early. It's very close to the beach, only a couple of minutes walk. One of the best stays we had in Sri Lanka, we would definitely stay again.

The balcony door didn't lock well. It didn't feel unsafe but it wouldn't have been hard to get in from the outside.

The pool is huge and so are the rooms. But in particular I’d like to recognise the staff and the amazing hospitality they showed. Breakfast was full of different flavours, the location was right across from the beach. The only advice is don’t follow Google maps, it’ll send you up the wrong laneway. My wife was unwell at night time and they were so helpful to help with medicine. Thank you to the wonderful team
