- Wifi partly good, but partly not - No free drinking water for refilling - Breakfast should be more Sri Lankan - No shower gel and shampoo available - large bed is 2 small beds pushed together - as my flight was only at 3am, the owner told me that I could check out late at night without any problems. I understood this to mean that it was free of charge. But they charged me another 6000 LKR for it. Just under 20 USD. I think that's quite a lot. Especially as a whole day only costs a little more. In addition, I was accidentally charged 7000 more when I asked for the total price. It was a mistake, but it did lower my mood a little

I recently stayed at Ocean View Tourist Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The hotel's location, just 20 minutes from the airport, was convenient for my travels. I particularly enjoyed relaxing by the swimming pool, which offered a serene atmosphere. The highlight of my stay was the exceptional hospitality provided by the owner and their team. They were incredibly helpful throughout my stay, and even allowed me to use the shower facilities after I had checked out, which was greatly appreciated before my flight. The cleanliness of the rooms and the overall tranquility of the hotel made for a pleasant stay. I highly recommend Ocean View Tourist Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay in the area.

Time passed by too fast

We had a good stay at Ocean View, the staff were excellent and took care of us very well. The breakfast that was included was good and normal Sri Lankan fare, fruit, eggs and toast plus a nice cup of tea. The location was good for access to the beach and also local cafes and restaurants. The pool was clean and an added bonus especially when the weather was hot.

The room we stayed in could do with some TLC and toiletries for the shower would be a nice touch.

Mark the host was amazing, so kind and friendly. Mark was able to give us loads of local recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Great location for the airport. Nice area, plenty of places to eat. Nice breakfast included. Gorgeous pool, very big. Very good value for money.

Ocean View has always marked an enjoyable start and end of my trips to Sri Lanka over many years. Clean, fantastic location with plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and nice patio-type sitting areas in front of the standard rooms. I saw that this year they now have a new beautiful swimming pool next to the breakfast area. The host and the staff are very welcoming and really helpful and accommodating with anything you need. Recommended.

The staff was extremely helpful and understanding, we felt safe and supported in anything we needed and asked for. The breakfast and the location were quite nice. It was calm, yet lively.

The bathroom wasn't very well taken care of, the metallic parts of it were rusty. Even though everything looked alright in terms of hygiene, there were spots with a lot of dust and web combs.

Very nice host, and staff is very attentive. I enjoyed my last day in sri lanka at the ocean view tourist guest house. Negombo and this place is a good place to stay before departure. Had plenty of time to chat with the owner, which I enjoyed, he organised my last Sri Lankan breakfast (despite usually offering continental) , which was yummy and spicey, and the pool obviously was great addidition for the wait till my departure. The beach is across the road, so not far. Restaurant next door is also recommended.

Kettle or drinks facilities would be nice. No breakfast menu, so just offered eggs fruit and bread, standard for Sri Lanka but constructive feedback. Sign said dinner served, but no menu, so we went elsewhere.

Great location in Negombo. Room was clean and comfortable. There is a pool for cooling off and staff are extremely helpful. They can also organise trips and airport transfer.

I found Negombo very hot and humid and the room was fairly hot at night, even with the fan.
