This was a great place to stay for one night. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially so when putting up with my truly appalling German! The quality of the food and local wine for the evening meal was excellent and the building is a wonderful old traditional Gasthaus with plenty of character. The shower was very good and there was plenty of space for a family of three. Overall, very good value for money indeed and highly recommended.

The WC functioned OK but took a long time to refill. Not ideal when there were three of us in the room. This was pretty much the only negative.

Very pleasant and helpful staff and good restaurant facility with very nice food. We had a lovely big room which though slightly dated was very comfortable. Bathroom was on the small side but all worked well.

Would have liked to have stayed longer to explore more of the area near the Rhine.

It was clean and tidy, the food at the restaurant was excellent. Free parking.

The only drawback is that our window faced the inner yard. So, every time when workers went out to smoke, the tobacco smell filled our room. When we closed the windows, it was too warm.

Very well kept facilities, courteous staff. Took the time to explain everything. The halls are pristine and the room is spotless. Surprisingly, the restaurant was also open and we had an amazing meal there. We were sorry to leave so early!

Spacious room, typical old house

There was nobody there when we checked out. We had to leave the key with the cleaning lady. Not like we checked out early, it was already 8:30h

It is original old house which makes the stay exceptional considering the small village where it is located. Breakfast was super prepared already on the evening so we could eat very soon as we needed at that day.

As it is old house, the wall isolation is not very good and during the night it was very hot (no air conditioning in the room).

It’s had a very warm and nice atmosphere. The hotel rooms were very clean and nice and friendly staff who helped :) the location was very good for us. The scenery was very nice in the hotel. Would book again in near future.

The lady looking after the place was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and adequate for an overnight stay. There was room to park our tandem bicycle.

Lovely town - perfect proximity to Zurich. Staff was very patient with my limited German (my family and I are immigrants from the US). The decor was really cool.
