This hotel is definitely the best one I've ever stayed in, earning a perfect score of 10 out of 10 from me. It's really close to the train station, but surprisingly, you can't hear any noise in the room because the walls and ceilings block out the sound very well. The room is big and has everything you need. Everything in the room is set up just right, making it super easy and comfortable to live in. The breakfast is amazing – I ate so much! The people working there are super nice, too. I can't eat pork, and when I asked about the hams, they took the time to check carefully and tell me exactly which ones were pork-free. I really appreciated that. The price of the room is totally worth it. I'd tell anyone looking for a great place to stay to check out this hotel!

There wasn’t a single aspect of my stay that I found lacking or didn’t like; on the contrary, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my time there. I’m truly grateful for such a wonderful experience and would like to express my sincere thanks for everything!

Rooms are really very large and modern and clean. The breakfast is excellent and reception staff extremely helpful and friendly. The location is truly convenient.

Pillows are uncomfortable and requires replacement. The coffee machine is temperamental and often does not work. We had no coffee cups in the bedroom and with a two night stay, the room was hardly cleaned and the dirty coffee cups were not cleaned or replaced. We had no fridge and the Aircondition unit did not work - the room was too hot. For such a large room and nice hotel, we would expect a fridge to keep water and drinks cold. The linen is not high quality and pillows are worn.

The location was great. You could go straight from your train directly to the hotel. It is also located directly opposite the bus station, which was quite convenient. I was afraid that the location would mean it was quite noisy, but it was surprisingly quiet. The staff were always helpful and polite. The hotel provided a mobility travel card for St Gallen, which was so useful. The beds were very comfortable but I found the pillows too soft. Our room was large and comfortable for two people. The breakfast was very nice and the nespresso in the room was an added bonus.

The hotel was clean but they did not pay attention to little things, for instance they left some dirty glasses in our room after cleaning. One day they replaced only one of the towels but then didn't return to make the beds or clean the rest of the room. They also only provided paper cups for tea/coffee which is not very sustainable.

A nice, efficient hotel in the very center of town, with comfortable beds and a serviceable breakfast.

While one woman in particular on staff was attentive and kind, the rest were quite brusque (I wouldn't have known about the city mobility ticket, for instance, if I had not specifically asked about buying bus tickets.) There was no soap or shampoo in my shower, despite me tracking down a maid to ask her to refill them. I was told twice there was no decaf coffee available at the breakfast, even though this was incorrect. Not a big deal in the larger scheme of things, and I would stay here again for the location alone, but a little more attention and care would go a long way.

Everything was great! We were able to park in the hotel courtyard for a fee but this was very convenient. The room was wonderful for 3 people. It was a junior suite. It was veryclean, the sofa bed was already made up and ready to use. We liked the fact that it had two bathrooms, one with a shower and sink and one with a bathtub and toilet and sink. The room felt like a tiny apartment. It was very well-insulated. We heard almost nothing from the street below and absolutely nothing from the other rooms. There is fresh water in the lobby available and even a coffee machine. The room has a great set up with coffee machine and water boiler also. The curtains are very nice and make it nice and dark at night.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Walhalla in St. Gallen. The convenience of its location, a mere 200 meters from the St. Gallen train station, cannot be overstated. The hotel itself has a cosy atmosphere and was consistently clean and tidy. The breakfast offered a good variety and quality. What stood out was the helpfulness of the staff, who were accommodating even with my late midnight check-in. The daily room cleaning service was also excellent. I would definitely choose Hotel Walhalla again for future visits to St. Gallen.

Oh, this is one of the best hotels that we had in Switzerland. Spent 2 nights in a generous room with enough space to play ping-pong if you want! We were 2 adults and our 16 yo son and we also had 2 bathrooms, which is freakin amazing! The hotel is situated right across the ST Gallen railway station, but the swiss trains run so smoothly that you can't even hear them (imagine we lived near the tram line in Bucharest, which is absolutely horror, it is like bombing sound every time) You have a supermarket right across the street, it is just a 5 minutes walk to the city center, the breakfast isdelicious and with lots of varieties. Just imagine that after this hotel, our next stays were disappointing as we were expecting the same conditions :(

It would have been perfect if the hotel had an own parking, but you can only park across the street at the price of 25 CHF per day!

- We are regular visitors and nearly always choose this hotel in St-Galen. - The best feature is the location, literally 1 minute walking from the train station. - The internet connection via WiFi is high performance. - The breakfast buffet is very complete, decent choice and good quality, although often crowded.

- The air conditioning unit did not sufficiently cool the room. - Despite being frequent guest we need to fill out the entry form every single time. - I receive notifications from the hotel in German, which I do not speak. - The hotel claims to provide a 10% discount if reserving directly with them. My experience however is that Booking.com is always cheaper aside from more convenient.

Proximity to the train station and everything else is good. Mini market store right opposite hotel is very convenient. Good size room for the family. Clean room and comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful front desk team. Breakfast was good too.

Room was on 2nd floor, we could hear the noise from trains going by from early morning till late, even with shutters down. Room was rather warm, especially with down quilts (no air conditioning) hence we sometimes had to sleep with windows open. Breakfast was good but we stayed for 5 nights and wished selection was wider.
