- Love the self-check in. I ran into some trouble and staff came by immediately to help. 10/10 staff. - They have a fridge downstairs, as well as toilet paper and towels everywhere for all guests. - Everything was super clean. - Great price for the location and amount of nights.

- I stayed on the first floor and the wifi connection was weak. Our mobile data kept automatically connecting. - It can be a bit noisy in the morning with the parking lot on the back. - It seems there's no air conditioning, so it might be a bit warm in the summer. - The pillows were unfortunately too "empty", they caused us both neck pain sadly

Value for money place. Very close to the train station and reaching the property was very easy. Room was as described and clean with clean bathroom and TV. The reception has a coffee machine, which is helpful. We reached earlier than 4 pm and had to wait in the lobby which was well maintained. Nice little property without much frills.

The check-in time starts at 4:00 pm, which is a bit late.

Easy self-check-in process, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel is a 5 min walk to the historic center. While this is a no frills hotel, it was super comfortable, a good value, and had a lovely lobby with tea, coffee, extra towels and soap (if you need), and nice seating.

Room was clean, and had all the basics covered - chair to relax, separate desk and chair, plenty of space for suitecases and clothes, etc. Bed was comfortable. Staff (from across the street) was nice. They are quite patient considering how many times they have to help with the self check-in process (see below).

It was broken when I got there and after almost 30 minutes of trying to check in and then waiting for them to fix it, I eventually had to complete the process across the street. In a two day stay, almost every time I saw someone trying to check in, they were either having problems or actively being helped by a member of the hotel staff. Read the other reviews. I cannot state strongly enough how badly the self check-in process works. It's a shame, because otherwise the hotel was a good choice and we were quite happy with it. It's expensive, but in-line with Swiss prices and cheaper than many other options in St. Gallen.

We were travelling around Switzerland by train and this hotel was a good choice for us thanks to its close location to the train station. Our first staying in a self check-in hotel and we were satisfied with the process. The room was clean and very spacious.

Maybe it would be nice if there would be some lockers for the suitcases, where we can leave our bags before check-in time or after check-out.

Location great for walking access into town, grocery stores nearby. Good to be able to self cater in a v basic way. Great to have a fridge and tea/coffee makers. Bathroom excellent.

Would have appreciated more bowls in kitchen.

Hotel David 22 was closed so they relocated me to the “sister hotel” opposite, on the other side of the street. A new, very nicely designed hotel called Sorell

It took me a while to figure the light switches out… and I’d prefer a flatter pillow, or at least some kind of option to the extremely big fluffy pillow they offered ..

Close to train station and supermarket, very clean and spacious room, check in and out very flexible, heating is great.

No toothpaste/toothbrush, no slippers, visitors tax cannot be paid via NFC/cards (online is possible).

Excellent value for money. No frills, but not with that “budget” feel that so many other hotels in that price range have. Great location, cleanliness was fantastic - everything you need for this type of stay.

Very helpful staff, comfortable and spacious room with a coffee machine, parking option.

The amount on my credit card was booked twice. One booking will be released eventually, but it blocked the amount in CHF I planned for other expenses.
