The proprietor was very helpful and very personable! I was pleasantly surprised to find wash cloths - a luxury in European hotels in my experience. Private parking. Close distance to attractions (walking). Large room. Excellent shower. Good supply of hooks in the bathroom for hanging things. Breakfast was complete and good if not exceptional. Calm inside the hotel.

Not enough electrical outlets in the room. Some hot egg and hot meat options for the morning breakfast would have been a nice touch. The breakfast was definitely complete and good, but not exceptional. I would have liked a greater assortment of pillows. Mine was much softer/thinner than I prefer and I've been in hotels where there was more choice or perhaps extra ones to boost one's neck, etc. Street traffic noise was a bit much even with all the windows shut and curtains drawn. We were in the 2nd floor of rooms (not counting the ground floor). I believe there might have been rooms not overlooking the street - not sure.

1. Location excellent within walking distance of city centre and central train station. 2. Christian was an excellent host welcoming guests and accommodating our every need. I arrived early but Christian took my bags to my room and offered me coffee and croissant while I waited for the room to be ready. Felt so welcome and at home there. 3. Comfortable bed. Large shower. I requested a quiet room and was given a beautiful room at the back of the hotel. 4. Breakfast was simple but yet had everything I needed to start the day.

For a solo traveller it is expensive for time of year. However, relative to prices in Switzerland probably good.

A very small hotel with an excellent and very obliging manager. I arrived early and he made me a complimentary cup of tea served with chocolates as my room was prepared - I could check in! Amazing customer service! My room was extremely warm and comfortable. The breakfast was very fresh, typically Swiss and plentiful. And, the manager organised a free and complimentary public transport ticket for me.

The only negative/ unfortunate thing was the English speaking TV Chanel’s were not working during my stay. They were scheduled to be fixed However, the manager found the German Chanel where Hoch Deutsch is spoken- this I was able to understand.

From my arrived’s moment, the welcome, kindness, attention, delicacy, cleanliness, comfort, the place is something that you couldn’t have any complaints about; my room was a studio style, I was impressed by the extremely large balcony, with a view of the front and the back of the property... the bathroom was spacious and extremely comfortable, as was the kitchen and the bedroom for sleeping and resting like at home.

This is a very lovely hotel, close enough to the centre to be convenient but far enough away to be quiet. The hotel manager couldn't be more helpful. The rooms are large , ours had a balcony and large modern shower. Breakfast was very good. Faultless

Maybe a bar area , there is a lovely area next to reception could easily have sat there with a glass of wine before dinner

The Hotel is very well managed. In walkable distance to the city centre and Kantonsspital. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. As I was on an emergency visit at the Hospital and had to leave earlier than expected they've without hesitation reimbursed me for the nights I couldn't stay. If I had to go to St. Gallen again this would be the place I'd stay.

Secure parking in a fairly central part of St Gallen and a very helpful receptionist helped us settle easily into our very comfortable room., We appreciated the lift and again the receptionist offered to carry bags. The room was well equipped with everything as was the bathroom. Thé receptionist told us of two nearby restaurants which would be open that Bank Holiday Monday, which was very helpful as it was raining. In the event we found we were in reasonable distance of the very pleasant AltStadt. We enjoyed a very pleasant breakfast and enjoyed an interesting conversation with the same courteous receptionist and some other guests.

Although we were in the quiet back section of the hotel, one of us was kept awake by the constant noise of metal barriers being dismantled during the course of the early hours. Apparently such night time working is not allowed in Switzerland but it had been a Bank Holiday event. the one of us who is deaf did not suffer this interruption.

We had a wonderful experience here. The concierge was so kind and friendly and helped us with everything. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. Our two kids felt welcomed and loved the hotel. It was an easy walk to downtown—even with kids—and an easy bus from the train station. (Honestly, we could have walked, but kids….) The breakfast was great and everyone found something they liked. We loved this place and would absolutely stay here again!

Spacious rooms, absolutely amazing staff! They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable! They recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner that was fantastic! Incredibly clean and well taken care of facilities. Would definitely recommend!!

There isn’t air conditioning (understandable) but they do provide fans. If you open the windows there is traffic until quite late at night. But none of that would keep me from staying there again!

Location, facilities are superb, the attention and support of the staff, always kind and available to provide information for the trip. Location is perfect for travelling from St. Gallen to either Säntis or Liechtenstein on a one day trip, ask the hotel if your reservation is eligible for the promotional tourist card for the Allgäuer region so you can get discounts on transportation and attractions. The rooms have a nice retro ambience vibe with moss green color furniture, with night desks integrated in the beds, radio, frigo bar with local beers, and provide a nice view from the balcony.

Like many European hotels in the hottest months of summer you can struggle a bit with AC but they provide a portable ventilator which will be enough.
