We found the B&B Hotel Zürich to be a functional and straightforward option for a stay in the city, conveniently located next to Glatt Mall (a shopping center, Closing on Sundays)

However, several aspects of our stay were less than ideal, though perhaps to be expected from a 3-star establishment. The hotel's policy of having no phone in the room meant every request required a trip to the reception, which was inconvenient. We found the parking to be excessively expensive, and the rooms themselves were notably small. Furthermore, basic amenities such as hangers in the toilet, a coffee machine, and a refrigerator were missing, which impacted comfort and convenience. We also had to request an iron separately, adding to the list of missing in-room provisions.

I was really impressed with this hotel, it was honestly such a great value for the price we paid. The location was convenient, and even though we had big and heavy luggage, it was still easy to get there by train. I especially want to say a big thank you to Diana, who was amazing and made our stay truly unforgettable. She was super kind, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Our trip wouldn’t have been the same without her! She gave us a free tourist guide how to explore Zurich in one day, and we were very impressed by it. She is very passionate about what she does and she deserves recognition by the Main B&B office. She is really, really talented and kind. I honestly think this hotel is underrated on booking, while it has everything you need for a short pleasant stay near the office buildings in Wallisellen. The rooms are a bit small, but not sub-standard for a B&B hotel, my room was spotless clean, nothing to complain about the quality of sleeping, bathroom, sheets, towels, etc. Breakfast was great for a simple hotel like that, with fresh croissants, good coffee, scrambled eggs etc. The train station of Wallisellen is 5 minutes away on foot, from there one can take a train to the main station in Zurich in 10 mins or tram/bus to the Zurich airport in 15 mins. Local shops, restaurants, bakeries within 5 mins walking distance max. I will definitely come back if in the area again.

I booked a "standard double room" that was supposed to have 1 big bed, but got 2 twin beds instead - not really convenient when traveling alone.

Staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Great location just a short walk to train station, bus stops and trams and opposite a big shopping centre, with lots of food places and food shops round it.

Beds were very uncomfortable, rooms a lot smaller than they look on the pictures. Not much room for luggage as no under bed space either and open wardrobe only fits a handful of clothes on it. Lack of safe in the room makes you feel slightly uneasy to leave any valuables as everything is open in the room.

Being a wheelchair user I usually check first if everything is accessible and I’ve been satisfied about this aspect. The room was quite big and the bathroom too. The shower had a seat and the sink was lower at wheelchair’s height. Breakfast was really enjoyable and the staff very helpful.

The shower gel dispenser and the hand soap dispenser were quite hard to use. This is a disadvantage for people with low upper body dexterity, even though I could menage it over all.

they host large tour groups at the hotel. in the morning when the groups show up for breakfast the hotel isn't staffed to support them efficiently. the morning I was there they ran out temporarily of food, plates, cups, silver ware. it wouldn't be an issue if you have time to wait. on the other hand, if you want a relaxing breakfast at 0700 this may not happen here.

The room is clean. Very friendly staff who helped us in our check in and breakfast, I would recommend getting the breakfast there as it is quite value for money.

The location is a bit of a walking distance from the station. But it is not in the city centre, so the area is quite peaceful and quiet. Not too bad.
