Baur au Lac is an absolutely beautiful and luxurious hotel. It is very comfortable and incredibly located within a few minutes walking to multiple tram stations - very easy to get around the city. Our bags got lost by the airline and Baur au Lac helped with laundry service for our limited belongings. Snacks and waters in the refrigerator were included which was nice. The air conditioning worked well (it was pretty warm in Zurich while we were there). While we didn't get a chance to eat there, the restaurant out front looked wonderful. Our room was a far walk from the front desk but we were tucked down on the canal so we could watch the swans floating by which was so lovely. We informed them we were there for a celebration so they brought us cake and wine - so sweet!

Be sure to get a demo of how the keys work when unlocking the rooms - it was simple but it tricked us the first time we got back to the room, and we had to walk really far back to the front desk to get someone to come show us. The laundry service was convenient and helpful but we had to call multiple times to make sure the clothes were going to get returned by our checkout time. Overall an amazing experience and not much to complain about.

The hotel is centrally located, well maintained, and professionally administered. I should add that that the concierge staff were extraordinarily helpful packing and shipping to my home in the US clothes and a backpack that came in handy while I hiked in the mountains but would have been burdensome during the remainder of my trip.

I think that breakfast was rather expensive and somewhat meager, at least by comparison to what other hotels in Switzerland had to offer. I must add that on the first morning that I went to the dining area where breakfast was being served I was made to wait to be seated even though many tables were unoccupied and remained so until closing time.

This is my second time staying at this amazing hotel! I loved everything about the hotel, from room service, concierge, food (restaurants & in-room), facilities, and much more. I look forward to planning a summer trip to enjoy the outdoor terrace and garden as well as experience a unique excursion aboard Tugenia.

There isn’t anything that I didn’t like. One thing that would have I would have been great to have is a coffee machines in the rooms.

The room and bathroom sizes. The reception and concierge staff.

The lounge space and staff. It seemed overcrowded, and the staff seemed stressed. This makes it stressful to arrive and fight for a place and for attention from staff. It shouldn't have to be that way. The restaurant is good (not excellent) and has seemed to have deteriorated, which makes it overpriced for the experience.

The brasserie , the location

The mattress was unpleasant. Very soft and with a hole. As a result my sleep was affected. With hindsight I should immediately have asked for another room. A mail to address this , to avoid discomfort for future travelers, was answered rather indifferently.

Everything ! Beautiful, Stylish, Elegant. The interiors are memorable and well-planned, extremely welcoming and helpful Stuff. This hotel Feels like home but Better . Room are spacious and big as apartment has separated entrance to the bathroom and wardrobe room which makes stay absolutely luxurious and relaxing

I like the location of the property it is centrally located in Zurich walking distance to popular places around zurich close for shopping Near the tram and train station it is also near the Christmas markets around. I like how the staff are all very helpful from the welcoming team concierge front office interns who helped me during my stay. they were all very accomodating and was able to cater to all of my request. was traveling alone but they managed to make me feel home. to the concierge team very efficient and thanks for helping me for my lunch reservation it is very hard to book for a restaurant in Zurich so Manuel if I’m not mistaken helped me. though not only this but with a lot of things like shipment to my home town, nearest church and all. was very kind and helpful.

Most beautiful Hotel at Zurich lake. Walking distance to main sight seeings. Very friendly and professional staff. Restaurat Baur’s is simply enchanting. We loved spending time at the Le Hall, Zurich most stunning living room.

Unfortunately there was a summer sound garden festivity while our stay, which didn’t allow hotel guests to enjoy the Terrace restaurant and the Pavilion restaurant during the evening.

Incredible architecture. Beautiful garden. Extremely comfortable rooms. Great service. Kind staff. Good facilities.

Everything was really amazing but I was a bit disappointed that there was no spa or pool.

I love EVERYTHING about this hotel! The food was good (though we didn’t try all the restaurants). The location was great! The staff were friendly. The rooms were AMAZING. The hotel is classically elegant, the rooms have actually keys (not key cards). We loved it!
