The location was excellent. As a family of 4, with two teens, I was looking for a hotel with a great location and price, that we could all stay in together. This exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly. We arrived around 11 am and they held our luggage and stored it in a locked room. We had to check our before the 7 am check out time and they were very accommodating. We had drinks and snacks in the restaurant downstairs and the staff was very friendly.

It was a pretty warm day and like most hotels in Europe, it does not have AC. But we were able to sleep with the window open (it was not loud outside as it was a Monday night) and they gave us a nice-sized fan.

Well I came was i need to ring the bell many times and calling as well before someone answered. On my reservation was an 1 extra large double bad but by surprise was only two small bed next to each other really disappointed. Very clean and nice place location. But I did paying for the breakfast included and at not even not 10.00 was totally empty food

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is small (36 rooms) and located right downtown. It is quite modern, quiet, and all in all very pleasant. I recommend it to others. It is possible to take an elevator from the restaurant below the hotel up to the hotel floors if one is not able or willing to negotiate the stairs up to the first floor.

The front desk is unattended after 9:00 PM, keep this in mind if you plan to arrive late.

The room was comfortable, clean, and very elegant. I appreciated the bathtub in the bathroom. The location was perfect for a quick tram ride to Old Town, and anywhere else. The hotel was only a 4-minute walk to the nearest tram station. The staff was also super friendly and helpful.

While this wasn't a negative thing, the hotel's theme caught me off guard. Regardless, it was cute and different.

Very clean room. Having a kettle and a mini fridge in the room is a bonus. The option of leaving our luggage before check in and after check out, is one important service we like. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Location is central.

No proper wardrobe in the room. It could be noisy at nighttime , the hotel is surrounded by restaurants and bars nearby.

I was in Zurich for 1 night and the plan was to attend the nearby Christmas market. The Hotel California was in an ideal location for a short walk to the Christmas market and with a short train ride was also able to access the main train station from this site too. It was a nice stay and would stay there again on future travels to area.

The key system they use there is a little odd and completely different from anywhere else I have stayed in the past.

The hotel location is great as it’s in the central and so close to the station where we could take a quick train to the airport. The hotel staff Carolina was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The room we stayed in was clean and very spacious. The cooling system was decent and we were given a fan in the room hence it was comfortable during our time of stay (June) and the hotel has a lift from the restaurant if you had big luggages. We had also chance to enjoy local buskering at the restaurants downstairs through our window. Overall we had a great stay.

The cooling system might be not sufficient for hotter season

Everything was excellent. Room was clean and warm, I’ve got everything what I needed and even more, to be honest. I think I will stay there again next time. 10/10 Location is just perfect and view through the window as well. P.S.: perhaps in the night time is loud outside but it didn’t bother me because I had my Loom earplugs with me:)

Good location and nice hotel. Breakfast was great and nice service.

Air conditioning didn’t work, nor minibar. It was very warm days hence it impacted us a lot.

Location is perfect, near to the most major attractions. Also a tram hub is nearby, so you can get anywhere real fast. Hotel is stylised in a 1960' vibe, but the rooms are renovated and very comfy. Also each electric outlet has a USB-A and USB-C connections, so all you need to charge your phone is a cable :)

Heating in the room didn't work, especially during the night it was quite cold. Unfortunately I got sick :(
