Excellent breakfast - Little gluten free bread loaves were provide on request and were very tasty. Location is very good for sightseeing Old Town with access to lots of good restaurants. Good access to walk along the river and to lake and pretty close to the designer shopping and FIFA Museum. Close to most transit options. Note, the hotel is in a 'pedestrian only' zone so you have to walk with luggage to/from transit, but it is not far - about 10 minutes.

Although room was very clean overall, the makeup mirror and extension bars were forgotten in the cleaning process. Room was a bit warm even after adjusting the temp, so we opened windows, which means you get some noise from people in the street. There is construction throughout much of the old town area, sections of streets are ripped up, perhaps replacing underground pipes. During the weekend they were not working, but on Monday morning they were hard at it, so expect noise.

From the moment we entered, we were greeted by Tico, who was friendly and very helpful. Our room was not ready as we were very early, but he took some time to give us information on what we could see and do in Zurich. We were told we could wait in the lobby, which was on the 1st floor, and could have some coffee/tea while we waited. We were quite surprised at the entertainment available while you wait. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you visit Zurich. It is within close proximity to restaurants, bars, shopping precincts, and train stations(10 to 15-min walk from the train station in the old town. Our room overlooked the square, and we enjoyed standing at the window, watching people walk past. Music started around 8 pm from a restaurant outside, and we thought it would go all night and were scared we were not going to get sleep, but to our surprise, everything was quiet before 10 pm.

Outstanding hotel staff giving top notch service. Our room was sparkly clean everyday, cleaning services is 5 stars. Our room was spacious with beautiful lighting and blackout curtains. We had a wonderful view of the courtyard where you can see the bustling of people enjoying their surrounding restaurants, and shopping. Breakfast buffet was generous with very delicious selections. Hotel is very close to trams and main station for travel, an array of restaurants, shops, cafés, and banks for currency exchange. Enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Zurich and sights!

We have stayed in Hotel Wellenberg twice. It is in a perfect location to visit the center of Zurich. The hotel is clean and updated. One of the best features is the breakfast. It was by far the best we had in our recent 30 day trip. The lady who runs the breakfast room is so friendly and just excellent at her job. We love arriving in Zurich from an international flight as the airport is small and orderly. This is our go to hotel while in Zurich. There are several restaurants very close to the hotel so finding a dining spot is very easy.

Location is nice,and the clerks are very friendly. I stayed here for two days everything is great.

The room was very large and comfortable for three people. Greatest location and was within walking distance of everything we wished to see. Our room had a lovely view of the platz below, people and restaurants. It was also just down the street from the river. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was nicely decorated and there is a courtyard that is a nice quiet place to sit and have a drink at the end of the day.

Hardly any closet for hanging clothes. Mini bar was so small that it barely held anything. The bathroom was also quite small and the shower had no lip on it to keep the water in the shower. Instead it came onto the bathroom floor. The dining room didn't hold many people and the breakfast was not particularly good.

Perfect location in the centre of Zurich. Only 10 minutes walk from the train station. Many restaurants and shops around the area. Breakfast included was a great variety and good quality. The breakfast area can get busy so was good they set up seats outside in the courtyard area. There is a library and tv room for kids which is a good area.

The hotel claims to be 4 star but that is incorrect. Some rooms are modern while the rest were outdated. Our room had a portable aircon unit that was loud and bulky. We arrived at 2pm but our room wasn’t ready until exactly 3pm. Our first day our room hadn’t been cleaned by 3pm so we had to ring and ask for it to be cleaned.

The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was quite nice. There was a variety of breads, meats, cheeses, and fruit. The coffee machine produced good coffee. The room had a nice view, was spacious, and comfortable. The hotel is right in the heart of things, so location was perfect.

This is very minor...but, there were certain breakfast items that required extra payment (like fried eggs). A few of these kinds of items could be included in the original breakfast price w/room.
