Hotel Felix was perfect for our one night stay in Zurich before flying home. Clean, renovated and plenty of room, with decent aircon in the double plus. It's a short and easy walk from the train station. Let them know if you're checking in after 10pm and they'll arrange for key pick up at the hotel next door. Check out is at midday so we had plenty of time to pack bags, and we could leave luggage at reception until our flight so we could explore town. We loved walking through old town to trendy Seefeld, before looping back along the river and up into Zurich's cool industrial neighbourhood in the west (stopping at Im Viadukt for an undercover food market and trendy shops, then an outdoor drink in Frau Gerolds Garten), and finally a dip in the river near Wipkinger Park before heading back.

The rooms were small but they were very comfortable and quiet, extremely clean, perfect for a solo traveller but a couple would be fine. The location was fantastic, close the the main train station (HB) and everything was within walking distance, the area felt really safe. The staff were very friendly and assisted with information on tours and transport.

The bed was very soft and pose problems to people having back issues. Needs to be more firmer.

Modern looking hotel with well equipped facilities except room does not come with aircon but fans are provided which is fine. Bottled water provided in fridge in room, and you can refill the water from the tap directly or level 1 reception. Love the Chinese restaurant directly opposite the hotel! The food is nice and affordable. Near to Zurich Station (about 8 mins walk) and near to Coop.

1) The shower and bedroom is separated by a glass, and the curtain is on the bedroom side rather than the toilet. This means the other party can pull the curtains on you while you are in the shower. 2) The hand towels were consistently not replaced in the room and we had to keep requesting for new ones from the reception. 3) Lift is very small. But better than none. 4) Room size is tight for 2 luggages. 5) There are no self service laundry. They do provided laundry service but it is not the cheapest. Best to prepare enough clothes to last you.

Excellent location - a 15 min train ride from the airport, centrally located in the city - walked everywhere without needing public transportation. Pleasant room, comfortable bed, good pressure in the shower. Cannot comment on the breakfast - preferred to buy baked goods at the supermarket bakery (there is a Coop 3 mins away) or walk over to a nearby cafe.

The soap/shampoo bottle was attached ridiculously high up on the shower wall - my 9 yr old daughter could not reach it. Also, the bottle was not topped up when we were given the room or during our stay - I ran out of shampoo mid-shower on the check-out day.

The location was perfect right in the heart of the old town and a short saunter away from some good food and the river. The rooms were clean and comfortable with one of those rainfall showers that I now need to get. The breakfast is good with plenty of choices and delicious bread.

I did not mind but some people might find the rooms a little small. Due to local regulations there is no AC and the service is very friendly but hands off by default. If you are feeble and need help with luggage you have to ask, though once you do the receptionist will gladly help.

Hotel Felix exceeded expectations on every count. The central location makes it easy to explore the city on foot or via public transit yet the immediate surroundings are quiet enough for a restful night. Staff members consistently went above and beyond—check‑in was efficient, local recommendations were spot‑on and every request was met with genuine courtesy. For what you pay, the value is excellent: clean, comfortable rooms with good beds, solid Wi‑Fi and enough space to unpack and relax. I’d book it again without a second thought — in fact, I did it twice on this trip.

The only downside? The old‑town church bells ringing at all times, but this isn't Hotel Felix's fault.

Starting with the location, the hotel is situated right in the heart of Zurich's old town, housed in a beautifully restored historic building. You can easily walk to all the main attractions. The area around the hotel is quite lively, so it can be noisy in the evenings. However, if you enjoy the vibrant sounds of the city, it’s a great spot. The rooms are decent, clean, and well-organized, though they are on the smaller side. Overall, they are comfortable and there are no major complaints.

The only negative aspect was the return to the hotel during the night, where I encountered numerous groups of women aggressively promoting entry to a strip club right next to the hotel. I didn’t expect to see such scenes in Switzerland, and it was nothing more than very annoying and intrusive. It also affected my comfort and sense of security.

It was nice to be able to use the free umbrellas in the lobby. The room was clean. The location was also very good. Also, the view from our penthouse room was very sweet.

There was no conditioner in the shower. It was written on the shampoo that it was for hair, body and hands. We didn't understand what kind of shampoo this was. Also, the coffee cups in the room did not have a handle. It was very difficult to hold the cups filled with hot water.
