Breakfast excellent. Location excellent

Room too small. Not like I expected based on the photo for this room on the website

It was nice to be able to use the free umbrellas in the lobby. The room was clean. The location was also very good. Also, the view from our penthouse room was very sweet.

There was no conditioner in the shower. It was written on the shampoo that it was for hair, body and hands. We didn't understand what kind of shampoo this was. Also, the coffee cups in the room did not have a handle. It was very difficult to hold the cups filled with hot water.

Hotel Felix exceeded expectations on every count. The central location makes it easy to explore the city on foot or via public transit yet the immediate surroundings are quiet enough for a restful night. Staff members consistently went above and beyond—check‑in was efficient, local recommendations were spot‑on and every request was met with genuine courtesy. For what you pay, the value is excellent: clean, comfortable rooms with good beds, solid Wi‑Fi and enough space to unpack and relax. I’d book it again without a second thought — in fact, I did it twice on this trip.

The only downside? The old‑town church bells ringing at all times, but this isn't Hotel Felix's fault.

Starting with the location, the hotel is situated right in the heart of Zurich's old town, housed in a beautifully restored historic building. You can easily walk to all the main attractions. The area around the hotel is quite lively, so it can be noisy in the evenings. However, if you enjoy the vibrant sounds of the city, it’s a great spot. The rooms are decent, clean, and well-organized, though they are on the smaller side. Overall, they are comfortable and there are no major complaints.

The only negative aspect was the return to the hotel during the night, where I encountered numerous groups of women aggressively promoting entry to a strip club right next to the hotel. I didn’t expect to see such scenes in Switzerland, and it was nothing more than very annoying and intrusive. It also affected my comfort and sense of security.

The Hotel: Rooms are cozy, welcoming, functional and impeccably clean. The decor is modern and inviting. WiFi network, shower and water pressure all worked well. Its prime location emerged as the standout feature (truly perfect). Conveniently located and a short distance to most attractions (30-minute train ride from Zurich Airport). The Stay: The bed was SO comfortable providing a great night's rest after sightseeing all day. Tons of bar and restaurant options in the area. The building is situated on a safe, secure and quiet street. Basic hotel with everything you need. The Service: The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They were always available to answer questions and offer recommendations and guidance. We arrived early and they kindly held all of our luggage free of charge. Concierge is not open 24 hours, but contact information is provided in case of emergencies.

Nothing of significance.

Excellent location in the old city, close to good restaurants and shops. My single room was lovely and spacious, with a fridge and a fabulous shower/bathroom (which includes really nice shower gel/shampoo and body lotion cream. All very clean and pleasant and my bed was like a small double! Staff were lovely and helpful. And good WiFi.

The problem was the sounds of the building works which seemed to go on all night and kept me awake a bit. Hopefully that will be completed soon. Also some more hangers would be useful as there were only three of them.

The property is located centrally to everything, such as trams, trains and restaurants and cafe shops. The staff were friendly and accomodating and were helpful to give us directions and recommendations on where to go and what to do. The room was decent and and the bed was comfortable as well. The toilet was also clean. There’s also bottled water provided as well as tea and coffee. Food was also sumptous during breakfast.

It would be better to have a variety of food during breakfast. Also, an extra pillow would be lovely for the guests but it wouldn’t affect the great experience we had.

Location is quite good. Our room while not very big has high ceiling which makes it feel a bit more spacious. Decor and facilities are modern and beds are comfortable.

No prior communication about there being no staff to handle check-in after 10:30pm. After getting off the train, as a first time visitor, we followed google map to get to the hotel with our suit cases. It took a long and confusing way. Then we were told by front desk staff that google map is not very good for this. I wish someone told me before. Staff were rather cold and spent little effort in introducing the area and restaurant recommendations. The room does not seem to have good sound insulation and we could hear loud noise from neighbors. Luckily during sleep hours, people around us were quiet.

Stylish decor, immaculately clean, friendly and professional service, perfect location within the old town and a short walk to the main train station. Buffet breakfast had excellent variety and was good value for money by Zurich standards. Rooms comfortable, well furnished, and spacious enough for a family of four with a baby. Certainly deserves a fourth star.

A bit of noise came through the floorboards above

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Felix. Arriving before the standard check-in time, we were pleasantly surprised to find our room ready, allowing us to refresh and begin exploring Zurich without delay.​ The staff were incredibly accommodating, and our room was spotless and cozy. Breakfast offered a delightful variety of fresh and tasty options.​ The hotel's central location made it easy to access the city's main attractions. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Zurich.
