We were apprehensive about our stay having read the reviews & noting how much cheaper the hotel was compared to all others locally. Myself & my friend both have high levels in terms of cleanliness. But we were pleasantly surprised. The bed was comfortable. The towels fresh & no odours in the rooms as is often the case. We were given a standard room which was not the executive we had booked but the staff swiftly moved us, which we were very grateful for. The room offered tea making facilities, a hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel & so on. We were well catered for. The hotel is located on a strip of restaurants, so of course there is quite a high level of noise at night, but all of the hotels would suffer the same. This goes on till around 1pm. It really is all part of the package, as you will see when you arrive in beautiful Zurich. The breakfast was slightly limited but nice & enough to fill you for the morning before setting off for the day. Cons – the staff are very attentative however, if there are issues to discuss they do stipulate the person who is in charge of the hotel is not on site. With the language barrier this can make things a little difficult, but the staff are keen to please, so once understood staff will do their upmost to accommodate. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the location, service, friendly staff & value for money. Zurich is beautiful!

Great location in Zurich Old Town, easy walking distance from Zurich Railway Station, in an older style building. It had all the conveniences of a hotel including a small lift, small fridge, kettle in the room, a good breakfast and airconditioning. The room and bathroom were a bit small, but comfortable. Overall a pleasant stay. We tried to book this hotel on another occasion, but there was no availability.

The only complaint was the noise from the bars across the road on Saturday night. The entrance to the hotel was through a back door and not the restaurant at the front. Both of these points were noted from precious reviews.

It's within walking distance of the train station, and in a cool part of town with just about anything you need around you. The hotel was pretty quiet on the inside. I had very little interaction with the staff, but they seemed like good folk.

Well, not their fault, but the tiki bar across the plaza is really loud and that goes fairly late. So, if you want, ask to be on the other side of the hotel. But, there was nothing to dislike about this hotel. The price seemed high to me for what it was, but I think that's pretty much a Zurich thing, and again not their fault.

Excellent location, in the heart of Zürich, 10m walk from the train station, close to everything you would need to see. Normal.size room for Zürich given how expensive the city is. Nice and helpful staff

Breakfast options could be better given that the hotel is also a restaurant. The entrance for hotel guests is from the back, and it would be nice to make it presentable. They need to have a locker room (they kept our luggage indeed but just put them somewhere in the restaurant, which I assume are safe in Switzerland but nevertheless)

THE HOTEL HAS AN EXCELLENT LOCATION - REALY THE BEST. THE STAFF WERE GREAT AS WELL- VERY NICE, HELPFULL AND ALWAYS WITH A SMILE. IT IS A SMALL HOTEL AND VERY PRIVATE - IT WAS VERY CLEAN THE STEAKHOUSE DOWNSTIRS IS EXCELLENT.

THE ROOM IS BASIC. NOT PAMPERING- BUT WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED. WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH OUR AIRCONDITION THAT MADE NOISE AND WE COULDNT SLEEP - SO OUR ROOM WAS CHANGED AND THAT SOLVED THE PROBLEM FOR US. WE READ THAT THERE IS A DISCOUNT AT THEIR RESTAURANT/STEAKHOUSE IF YOU STAY AT THE HOTEL - AND THAT IS NOT TRUE - NO DISCOUNT

Hey, I had a great time. Hotel Old Town is ideally located. Shops, restaurants, bars, trains, museums, the river...everything you might want to see and do is nearby. Guestroom was perfect size, bed was comfy, and breakfast was hot. And Andy the proprietor was super friendly and helpful. Rooms are over the bar/restaurant, so that's convenient, too

My 2-night stay was during the week, so music from the bar across the street didn't go too late into the night. But I see how it could get pretty noisy and rowdy on weekend nights. When I closed my window, I didn't hear anything. And, again, it wasn't crazy late.

Great location near the train station, easy to find, good breakfast - this was perfect for our one night between landing in Zurich and needing to be in the Austrian Alps the next day. The area is vibrant and has lots of restaurants, although we just went to the local grocery store (the Coop right by the train station), bought some wine, bread, cheese and prosciutto and enjoyed them in our room. We did go out afterwards for gelato a block away!!

The room was a little stuffy and the cooling system didn’t really kick in to help.

Location is great, right in the middle of old town where there are tons of shops, food, cafes, bars. It is where the action is at night. The breakfast was the best of the week with the usual sliced meets, cheeses, and breads, but it also had scrambled eggs. We were able to leave our bags after we checked out for the day at no extra cost.

Descent hotel reachable in 12 mins by walk from the zurich main station. The place is lively and full of tourists and many shops around to eat and shop. Descent breakfast and staff also good. Rooms are clean and well serviced. Good AC.

Room size was very tiny and so was the washroom. Though it was very clean. The loud noise at night from the people at the nearby restaurants. That was little annoying if you are a light sleeper.

It was centrally located. Easy to walk to various sites and numerous restaurants. It had an elevator to facilitate hauling luggage up several floors.

It was near a few bars and restaurants that were open late into the night. The crowd noise was pretty constant until after midnight. Closing the window mitigated the noise. But to be fair, the sounds were happy sounds and did not bother us.
