The best part of this hotel was the customer service…. It was nothing short of superb. The front desk was super accommodating at check-in and when arranging a car service for us…. But Roman at the front desk went way above and beyond when I inadvertently left my cosmetic bag behind. He promptly and efficiently communicated with me through both phone and email, and tried to send the bag back to me. When security flagged it and returned it to him (my fault due to medications inside), he carefully laid all my items out and sent me a photo of them at my request. Due to Roman’s kindness and contentiousness, I will not hesitate to stay at this lovely little hotel again and highly recommend it to others.

Hotel Kindli is more than just an excellent location in Zürich’s old town! It’s a high value, boutique hotel, charming, with friendly staff, excellent breakfast, comfortable beds, plus TV & air conditioning, complimentary mini-bar, free coffee, fruit, chocolate and other cakes at reception all day. Each room has just what you need for a wonderful stay! All staff at hotel reception are friendly, helpful and fluent in many languages! Special thanks to Ramona, Oliver and Ramon who made our stay so wonderful. Do not miss Restaurant Kindli for an exceptional dinner! We had the most amazing black truffle seasonal dining experience with lobster, steak, pasta & risotto!! We will definitely be back again❤️

Hotel is a true gem in the heart of the Old Town. Hotel is very clean, cozy and quiet. Everything is thought through, so that guest feels like at home (staff remembers you and asks about your sleep, dinner, etc., the owner always meets guests in the restaurant and is very friendly), in the lobby you may treat yourself to complinentary fruits, coffee, tea and bottled water. Breakfast is top quality and you also have complimentary mini-bar. It is my best find in Zurich, and highly recommended. Thanks for a perfect stay!

Fabulous location in the Old Town. Numerous coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants at your footsteps. Great shopping area. Only about 10 minutes to the train station and 15 minutes to coach parking. Staff in the restaurant and front desk extremely courteous and helpful…always a smile on their face. Room and bathroom very clean and made up every day. Air conditioning, which was required during my trip due to the hot weather, worked extremely well. Bottled water was replaced every day in my room. Breakfast was fabulous. Eggs and bacon were cooked fresh as per my order on arrival in the restaurant. Breakfast served in their main restaurant which had great ambience…white tablecloths and candles all over the place. Waitresses and manager made you feel like home. Free at the front desk every day…sweet cherries, nectarines, bottled water and nespresso coffee. Easy on line checkout.

Only negative thing is that my room did not have a small fridge due to the class of my reservation. However, they made up for it by bringing up ice whenever I asked for it.

My mom and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights at the end of a 2 week European road trip. The hotel has a great central location, extremely comfortable beds, attentive staff, a stellar breakfast, and an authentic Swiss feel. Did I mention how comfortable the beds are? The in-room amenities are great, and everything in the mini-bar is complementary. The is complementary coffee, tea, and snacks in the reception area. It was a wonderful hotel to cap our European adventure.

I loved that the hotel is in a pedestrian zone, but this made it difficult to book an uber to/from the airport. The hotel arranges limo transfers, but the price quoted seemed expensive to me. Taxis can access the area easily.

Very good comprehensive breakfast with everything very fresh. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom is spacious with a nice sized bath tub (can be used as a shower) - we love a hot bath in the winter. We phoned beforehand asking to come in an hour earlier and it was no problem.

We find the heating is always too high in hotels in Switzerland so we open a window in order to sleep better. Getting to hotel entrance with a rental car up all the one-way lanes in the old city, and unloading & loading luggage on narrow much used lane not easy .

Almost everything was excellent. Location on a quiet little street, but right in the heart of the old city. Beautiful surroundings. The room was small but very clean and well appointed, with a very comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice touches like gorgeous books to borrow, as well as bottled mineral water, espresso machine, fruit and cookies in the small lobby are very welcoming.

If you are arriving by car, it's rather difficult. You have to park in a paid public lot, which is a short walk over a steep hill, on cobble stone paving. That would make it really hard to get rolling suitcases to the hotel. To drop your luggage at the door, before you go and park the car, you have to ask the hotel for a special permit, since the area is off limits to cars. It's a very difficult drive through the narrow cobblestone streets, crowded with pedestrians. Second, there was a bad smell from the shower drain. That's unusual for a Swiss city... more common with the questionable plumbing in Italy. We had to close the door to the bathroom and run the fan all night.

The ambience is alluring. The atmosphere is exclusive, considering the limited available rooms in the hotel. The staff are very polite and helpful. We missed having our coffee in the room as well as ironing our clothes.

You may have your reasons why the guests can't iron their clothes in their rooms and have to go to the fourth floor to do so. I like to have my coffee maker in the room rather than going elsewhere to have one.

Excellent stay in a central location, close to key viewpoints overlooking Zurich. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful - I happened to be staying during a massive street party outside near the lake, and the staff were keen to ensure minimal noise disrupted my stay (my room was quiet all night). Though slightly small, the twin room was the perfect size for a single traveller, and the breakfast downstairs was tasty.

Breakfast could have had slightly more variety (meats, cheeses), comparing to other similar hotels in Switzerland.

This was our favourite hotel that we stayed at during our Christmas/New Year's trip to Europe. The room was beautifully decorated and looked out onto the cobbled streets. The breakfast was lovely in the restaurant and it was nice to be served instead of having a full buffet breakfast. The shower was good and the bed was very comfy. The staff here were so friendly and helpful. We also ate dinner in the restaurant on our last evening and it was the best meal and service that we'd had in a very long time - Thank you
