Breakfast was a good variety of continental style and freshly cooked eggs. The food quality was high. Staff were professional and friendly. Hotel location was central, perfect for getting around Zürich on foot. We stayed at this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel staff exceeded expectations by welcoming us with a half bottle of champagne, delicious fresh tiramisu and fruit in our room. The bed had been beautifully decorated with golden leaves in the shape of a heart along with a balloon in the word “love”. The most wonderful and very happy surprise. All staff at the hotel were professional, welcoming and friendly. Providing excellent service.

Everything about our room and our stay was excellent. The only comment would be the room was a little on the small size with limited space for luggage.

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to may sights and very close to a tram stop and the main station. The room was very clean, modern, quiet and comfortable. The fittings were top quality and everything worked. The staff were always helpful, and we were given an early check-in and late check-out which made a big difference given our flight times. We enjoyed the Swiss style buffet breakfast, which offered plenty of choice.

It was very hot when we were in Zurich and the room cooling system struggled to cope, but this problem is caused by city regulations limiting air conditioning in hotels I believe.

This is a very nice, soundproofed hotel, with an amazing breakfast. Possibly the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at, though I don't generally stay at super-nice hotels. We stayed here last year, and knew we wanted to stay again this year.

Their smallest room (Single with Twin Bed) is extremely small. I would argue too small. For example, I couldn't use the folding luggage rack without blocking the door, and using the toilet took some careful manuvering. The price I paid was probably commensurate with the size, but if I'd known it was /that/ small, I would have upgraded to the Standard Double. Other members of my family had the Superior Double, which was actually quite roomy, and the Junior Suite, which was a bit snug, but still plenty of space, along with having a balcony.

The location is amazing. I was literally 10 minutes from anywhere I needed to go in the center. Rooms are cozy and the bathroom is big enough to be comfortable, even for a building in the center. I do not know if it was recently renovated, but the building felt well maintained.

It is a four star hotel. So in that logic the expectations were met. Something that could be improved is the service on little details. One day they forgot to replace the water in the room. When I ordered in the phone they forgot to bring one item from the restaurant. When I was calling I had to provide my room number for example. Not automated enough.

Cleanliness - Probably the most important for me - if the hotel is dirty, the stay is ruined. Happy to report that the room, lobby, hallways and room were all very well kept. Location - Great. Safe neighborhood, easy to walk everywhere. Room in general - while pretty small (I had a single) it had everything I needed to be comfortable, especially since I was generally only there to rest and sleep. The large bottle of water and fruits in the room were a nice touch. Bathroom - modern, no leaking shower (so typical in European showers!), good counter space, a bidet. Breakfast - Excellent. So many options including made to order eggs, fresh fruit, pancakes and smoked salmon.

The breakfast was sufficiently diverse, the staff was particularly understanding when we reached the restaurant before opening hours because we had a hungry baby. The space of the apartment was absolutely perfect and the balcony an ideal ad-on.

The soundproofing was very weird. We could not hear anything from the hallway or from the rooms above/below us, but we must have had some pipes too close to our room. We could hear every time someone was flushing their toilet, which kept me awake through most of the first night. To be frank, I did not even go to the reception about this because the maximum they could have done was to offer another room, but at that point we were fully unpacked and moving with a baby would not have been easy either.

The hotel is located in the old town of Zurich, which is 700m away from the main train station, as well as near by there is a supermarket and a lot of other stores. The rooms are fancy and convenient, upon arrival the hotel provided me with complimentary fruits and a piece of chocolate, which was nice. The staff are polite, and the breakfast is really of good quality. Overall, I am very happy with the stay.

Honestly, not much to improve. Perhaps, it would be nicer if single rooms were slightly bigger, but it is not a big deal.

Review Hotel Seidenhof Zurich Standard Double room, April 2025 😊 Location in shopping district, less touristy part of town yet still central, near trams, supermarket, big stores. Less restaurants in this area. 😊 Very friendly staff and competent service. 😊 Superior hotel breakfast! Good quality and good variety. 😊 Beautiful functional design in room features. Good use of space. Full mirror, mini ref, iron and board, hanger closet, yoga mat, seats and desk and table, USB plugs at bedside. Big window. Clean! 😊 Very good water pressure, well lighted bathroom 😊 German smart WC ! In a separate cubicle /room 💚 😉 Shower cubicle is at bathroom entryway, across a lovely lavatory vanity; then a door to WC. Bathroom will then be closed for privacy when someone is showering. 😊 Beautiful lobby, easy check-in and check-out. Took a cash deposit and easily returned upon check out. Fast elevators. Umbrellas were provided since it was rainy. 😉 No actual street drop-off, we just ask cab to park at the side lane and bring our luggage across the street. 😉 Room a bit tight if having 2 big luggages. 😊 Fruits and Nespresso inside room.

Start with the lovely staff receptionist… to the fruits plate in my room coming to the location which was amazing minutes walking from everything.. the room was having both usb outlets and triplet’s electric outlet made it easy to charge the phones and power bank.. the rituals products in bathroom is a smart addition.. in conclusion room had all comfort additions

Unfortunately i had the single room which was very small and kind of annoying as it was difficult to adjust and breakfast could use more options especially for Arabic and Muslim guests..

Room is very small. Even 2 suitcases can't be fitted or opened. Airconditioning is not air-conditioning. It barely a cooler. This is a problem in most parts of Europe that hotels have not come to terms with global warming. The room has air coolers rather than air conditioners, which can't cope with the heat outside. The room becomes suffocating. The staff was kind to provide a pedestal fan.
