A great room for one person, I should’ve booked a larger room for two

The breakfast and also the staff was exceptional. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful whenever something was needed. The breakfast was also amazing. Even though it might seem „small“ at the first moment I had everything I wanted to have in the morning so it was great for me!

Unfortunately one of our towels was dirty when we entered the room. It seemed like a pretty heavy stain which wouldn‘t be able to be washed out. When addressing the issue with the staff they immediately brought fresh towels into the room. Unfortunately out of the 2 fresh towels there was another stained one. The staff offered to exchange them again and it was all fine. Also one party of the blinds didn‘t work in our room, so we were only able to open half of the blinds, the other remained closed throughout the stay, which wasn‘t a big deal in the end. We also addressed it and someone wanted to check but the issue remained. As we spent most of our time exploring the coty it was no big deal anyways.

This hotel has an excellent location in Old Town however, I would not rank it as family friendly as the rooms are very small and the bathroom is part of the room. While the hotel has a very tech vibe with the self check in and self check out plus iPads to schedule cleaning and operate the room blinds and tv, we found the iPad laggy and not user friendly especially with kids. We booked two rooms for 3 nights for our party of 4 and the tv in one room didn’t work for majority of our stay and the other only showed certain channels like CNN and BBC. Trying to keep kids occupied with non working tvs is tough. Staff was friendly and comped breakfast one day as service recovery but I honestly would have taken a working tv over standard breakfast fare since there are a bunch of lovely cafes across from the hotel and round the corner. We were traveling standby as my spouse works for an airline, so this was a last minute booking and misaligned expectations.

Staff did what they could with what they had, I think having them supervise checkin, make coffee and fix iPad issues is asking too much.

We loved Citizen M! Location was key, the common spaces were a total pleasure, love all the glass and views outside, the fireplace, books, all day drinks service and security key system on every floor. The rooms were lovely, linens worthy of a 5-star luxury hotel, great blinds for darkness and light, and a fab bath! Greatly appreciate your sustainability efforts and policies.

Needed a smaller softer down pillow, big pillows don't suit everyone. Please consider having some on-hand for those guests? We were unnecessarily uncomfortable in that regard every night. The room was too warm at night no matter how many ways we adjusted to cooler.

The hotel was amazing!! The staff very friendly especially the people at the bar downstairs 🥰🥰 the bed is super comfy and the location is excellent!! I highly recommend this hotel and I'm already planning my next visit soon.. thank you soooo much citizenM Zürich !! You exceeded my expectations!!

I thought the chairs and couches at the restaurant and bar downstairs could do with a little cleaning... the menu too didn't have a lot of varieties. But honestly this was by far the best hotel, very friendly staff and the room is really clean.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is in a great location tram station across the road, Zurich train station about 15 minutes walk and 10 minutes walk to Zurich lake. Very central to everything. Lidl and Migros supermarket short walking distance. We had an early flight and got to the hotel at 10am they were able to store our luggage whilst we explored and managed to get us an earlier check in (12.30pm). First visit to Zurich, would definitely book this hotel again and not look elsewhere if we come again to Zurich.

No iron facilities in room but there is an iron room near the lifts. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room either.

Incredible staff, could not be more helpful! The bed was amazing and comfy, the shower was easy to use and pressure was great. Air con (I struggle with this sometimes being rubbish in hotels in Europe!) and soundproofing was fab, one day there was a noisy party next door and as soon as you get into the floor with rooms you can’t hear anything. Felt very safe as a woman travelling alone Incredible location, 5 mins or so walk (and I’m a slow walker!) and you’re at the lake, a few more and you’re at all the bars and restaurants you could ever want. iPad was an interesting and convenient way of controlling everything The rooms are definitely a little cosy but I didn’t mind and there was more than enough space for what I needed whilst working from Zurich

- the TV was a bit precarious and would sometimes stop working (fine, I’ve got an iPad etc so wasn’t a big deal) - cleaning isn’t standard and you have to request - would like an option for daily refreshing of towels, toilet paper, bin empty etc - had to be a bit careful with the shower door as it doesnt close fully and you can easily end up with a bit of a damp toilet area

- The hotel is located in the center of Zurich, within walking distance of the main attractions; the main train station is 10 minutes away, and Bahnhofstrasse is just 300 meters away. Also, there is a tram stop right in front of the hotel. - Very ergonomic hotel - you can control the curtains, TV, and even set the shower lighting with an iPad (I particularly love the lighting :-)). You can also make the room completely dark with the black-out curtains. - Self-check-in is a big plus. - After a hot day, you can pour yourself a water pitcher at the bar without bothering the bartenders.

- The room is quite small. - The shower is not a separate room but just a capsule with frosted glass in the room; the sink is separate from the shower and also in the room - a questionable design choice. - No slippers provided.

Great location in the center of the city. Nice clean modern room, plenty of light. Lights, temperature, blinds, and room cleaning schedule can be controlled via an app on the phone. The room is small but the layout is convenient. All plumbing and electrical systems worked well.

The towels were not replaced for the first several days and were wet. It's hard to dry towels in the hotel room - even if they don't do room cleaning for the first several days after check-in, the towels should still be replaced daily.

Location is excellent, bed comfy, shower is good. Room is quite high-tech with the blinds/curtains, TV, lights, music and check-out all controlled by a tablet. I liked it a lot, felt very modern and made everything neat, easy and sleek. There are also several different power outlets which was great as it frees up spots on any universal adapters you may have brought. Nice decor in the hotel as well, with friendly staff. I've already recommended the place to friends and I'd be interested to try more CitizenM hotels in other locations.

The "moods" on the tablet are a bit vague and could be better-defined, and perhaps a bit more variety would be good. The accompanying mobile app is slow and clunky, which was surprising considering how modern and smooth everyhing else was. Bar prices downstairs are obscene for the quality, especially on a street with several bars right next door serving cheaper, better drinks.
