- Perfect location, very close to the Central Station and Bahnhofstrasse (Main shopping St) - Kind and helpful staff.

- An unusually large deposit amount of 100 CHF per night, despite the room being paid in full in advance! - Lack of bidet in the bathroom, either handheld sprayer or standalone. - Classic wash basin mixer (dual handle mixer), which is not my favorite. - Lack of door closer. (don't forget to shut the door each time you get out your room) - Lack of wall hooks in the room, only one in the bathroom.

The location is amazing!

A bit too expensive when compared to other 5 star hotels

Right across the street from the train station after 24+ hours of travel was needed! The bartender Friday night, Dec. 13th was exceptional and treated us like regulars not noticing are state of weariness. He was the king of his domain! Breakfast was exceptional. Concierge was so friendly and put up with our extra questions with a smile and got us reservations for a cheese fondue lunch and a sold out day for the Lindt factory. The bellhop that weekend was always ready to help but happy to let us be independent until the last day when he made getting to the train station with all our wheels stress-free :)

Booking.com did not seem to translate our reservation correctly. Our bed setup wasn't what I purchased and we were told at the front desk breakfast came with out rate which I had purposely declined to save money. But in the end it was ALL good and so happy we were able to book that day, as we did not know until a few hours before that we would actually make it!

It's a great location, and Central can be noisy at night with trains and stuff, but it's very nice inside the hotel. It was all going very well until I checked out tbh.....

the hotel staff turned my Emirates driver away and called the police on him, they were ignorant and arrogant to him told him I wasn't staying at the property (lies) as I had left ALL 4 suitcases there.... not impressed with how they turned on this driver and called the police on him and didn't even check the system to see I was actually a guest there... .

Great location opposite station but still quiet. very helpful, attentive and friendly staff. Very much liked a visit from the chocolate butler after we checked in! Also not only fruit but so many chocolates in the room, I’ve never visited a hotel with so much chocolate (which I very much like). The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection too.

Rooms were a little hot, but possibly I couldn’t work out how to turn down air con. Also would like more than one coffee pod and milk that isn’t powdered in the rooms.

This elegant hotel is literally at the train station. The lobby is lovely and the staff is professional, friendly and ready to help with anything. It seemed they anticipated our needs before we even asked. We were greeted with a warm hand towel and refreshing drink as our luggage was whisked away. The room was in the smaller side but well appointed with beveled mirror closets lit inside, a large bath tub and a desk. Our room was remarkably quiet despite being so close to the train station. The butler came by twice to offer chocolates and welcome us. The fresh flowers in the lobby were positively outstanding. The rose in our bathroom was a bit disappointing, it seemed a bit old fashioned with a clunky square vase with glass stones. We did enjoy the fresh fruit and mini chocolates provided, as well as the soft robes. Also the live band in the bar was terrific and the place was filled ( but not packed) with guests truly enjoying themselves! Thank you.

The location is excellent, right opposite Zurich Main Station. Just outside the hotel is Bahnhofstrasse, and it's a 10-minute walk to the old town. The hotel staff are enthusiastic, and the facilities are complete. The only downside is that the two glasses for drinking water weren't cleaned properly, which somewhat spoils the experience. Everything else is great.

The cups need to be cleaned thoroughly.

The breakfast was excellent with high quality of food & used product. The room was comfortable although I stayed in a single one. On the day of check out, our group moved to get the train to Austria at 7.38 am pltf 9 or 11. About 6 minutes before arrival of the train, I suddenly realized that I forgot my cellphone and I knew at once that it must be in the room. Asking my friends to wait for me if I could not make it on time. I ,then ran as fast as I can back to the hotel. Explained the front desk, they asked the officer in red -white dressing ,knew his name later " Antonio" to lead me to the room where I found my phone there. Then I looked at my watch (7.36am) told Antonio that my train is 7.38 (in the next 2 minutes). Antonio grasped my hand luggage and said " Let's run and go". He and myself ran fastly back to the platform and finally we could made it on time. Deeply appreciate "Antonio".

I returned to Zurich on 20 Oct from Austria to fly back home. Take that opportunity to walk to hotel to explain and to give appreciation of what " Antonio " did for me 6 days ago. One of the front officer expressed the cold response while the other confirmed the name of "Antonio" and showed the fair response for the good their people(Antonio) did to the customer. They should showed the feeling of the more pride of the people.

We chose to stay at the hotel because it was recommended by the Man in Seat 61 https://www.seat61.com. We took the scenic route from Vienna on our way home to the UK. The hotel being right opposite the station for our train the following day was brilliant. We were upgraded, given Prosecco on arrival and the staff were all professional, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.

Nothing. We wish the jazz had gone on a bit later that evening in the bar. Due to us arriving a bit later on in the day and eating at the hotel we only managed to see a couple of songs.

We were guests returning 1 year after our first visit. Last year I gave this hotel a 10-Exceptional rating and said I would return, which I did. However, last year, at the time of the review, I didn't realise we had been given a better room than the one booked, so, this year, when we arrived, looking forward to the facilities of last year, it was a bit disappointing to find we were in a much smaller room with a smaller bathroom. However, while the room was not as spacious and well appointed as last year, which was wonderful, the standard room was very nice, very comfortable and big enough. The pluses of this hotel are the location, next to the station, with a short train ride or tram ride to the airport, and 10m walk from the old city. The breakfast is superb and the room was very comfortable. Staff also were very good.

Nothing to not like, but as I said above, it was a bit disappointing to be in the standard room, which to be fair, was the one we booked, after the one we had last year.
