We stayed a couple of nights. And everything was as described. The hotel is located 7 minutes walk from the train station, if you come by train is very convenient. To the old town about 12-15 minutes, to the lake about 20 minutes. We got of improved the room, the size was sufficient. Everything was clean in the room and the hotel. Housekeeping was good. Roomy refrigerator. There is only one outlet in the room for a 220 plug. Other outlets were near each bed. The bathroom is quite spacious. The decoration of the hotel is laconic. Breakfast without hot and no special variety, but everything is tasty and enough to eat. The reception staff was attentive and friendly.

Everything was normal, but there are a couple of warnings. On the 5th floor, some rooms are attic with windows only in the ceiling. The windows are above the beds, and in them a little blowing (if you do not like drafts ask for it in advance). There is no kettle or glasses in the room. In the hall on the ground floor, you can make tea (for hot water you have to pay 50 cents, it is not much but strange and not convenient).

As I was using Zurich HB a lot, then the location is great. The check in and out was seamless. I was allocated a nice room with some space and a comfortable bed. Despite the room facing the road it is a quiet neighbourhood. The bathroom was a bit old fashioned but it provided what was needed (always prefer a shower to a shower in a bath). Breakfast was good and was served from 0630 EVERY morning. No hot food (oh, except the boiled eggs), but a good choice, especially if you want more than a croissant and a cup of coffee. One of the good features of the Bristol is a computer that guests can use - handy for obtaining and printing of boarding passes. Took advantage of the tea/coffee tray available from Reception, though you can get a tea/coffee from their vending machine in the lobby for 50 cents. Will definetly return!

Little to complain about. Being fussy the television needs to be reprogrammed as half of the channels aren't available, and that's not due to being on Sky or other pay platforms.

The bed was very comfortable, nice white bedding , bathroom was exceptionally clean , lovely towels , soap and shower gel provided . Breakfast was continental , cold meats , bread rolls , cereal , yoghurt etc , the 2 female staff members were very helpful and friendly,

Oh the rather small grumpy unfriendly male member of staff , it was too much trouble to make another pot of filter coffee and because I was English he decided I didn’t need to drink American coffee , very odd behaviour, other than that incident everything was good .

This is a really nice place, a friendly welcome , well equipped rooms which are clean and comfortable, good WiFi and such a good position.

The breakfast is very poor quality and it hasn’t changed since we were there 2 years ago. Plastic sachets of cheap jam, bread cooked from frozen, coffee machine rather than quality coffee freshly made, limited fresh fruit but tinned fruit salad available , low quality sliced meats and cheese. On the plus side there are hard boiled eggs and a microwave to warm your own croissant if that is what you like. The staff are wonderful and it’s a nice dining room. I prefer healthy (non upf) fresh wholefoods but I appreciate not everyone thinks this way.

Location was excellent, close to public transportation, restaurants etc. Breakfast was ok, nothing special though. The room was very warm. Friendly staff.

The 3-bed room did not have enough space for hanging clothes, no place to hang 3 winter jackets for example. Rooms were not very sound-proof, you could hear a lot of noise form outside and from the next room. Towels changed and garbage removed daily, but no real cleaning for 5 days (floors or bathroom).

The Hotel Bristol was exactly what we needed it to be. Clean, convenient lodging, located very close to Zürich’s main train station. The front desk staff, including Roman and another colleague, were very friendly and cheerful and referred us to an excellent restaurant nearby. They were both delightful. Its location made for an easy walk to ample shopping and Zürich’s old town. The room was clean and simply but comfortably furnished. Best of all, during a heat wave, the Hotel Bristol actually supplied us with rare air-conditioning for a very comfortable night’s sleep.

We found the cost of the Hotel Bristol to be fairly expensive for “what you get” - but that’s the price of convenience, I guess.

Very close to the train station and old town. Very quiet and easy to find. Family room, nice and spacious.

Definitely would have like to known beforehand that one could ask for a kettle. Missed having tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. On the last day, we saw them handing out kettles to all the guests! Breakfast was unimaginative but absolutely decent.

We visit the Jungfrau region of Switzerland every 4-6 years, flying in and out of Zurich. We always spend the last night at Hotel Bristol. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the train station and also to the old city, but is on a relatively quiet, tree-lined street away from most of the traffic and crowds of tourists. From the train station a 10-12 minute train ride will take you to the airport. The hotel staff is exceptionally helpful, and tolerate my limited German until they have to take over the conversation in English. The rooms are very nice, and spacious as competitively priced European big city hotels go. They have added air conditioning since we were there last, although Zurich does not get uncomfortably hot very often. They have a nice breakfast that is served from 7:am to 10:am. Staying there costs more now than when we first started going there about 15 years ago, but so does everything else. It has become part of the experience now, and we would not consider staying anywhere else.

+ The receptionist Roman was very friendly and anticipating every need. He was able to give me a room 2h before the official check-in time, which allowed me to rest after a long trip and before my meeting. He also offered me an upgrade. + The room is compact yet very convenient, it has complimentary water, tea facilities, a convenient working desk. Everything is brand new and functions well. + The location is just 5 min. walk from the station. As I usually arrive in Zurich by train, it is very convenient. It is on a quiet street, close to the city centre. The main cathedral is about 12 min. walk, along a pleasant path by the river. + Good value for money in Zurich.

Location is spot on easy walk into town and the train station. Tram stop at the end of the road fabulous. I asked for a bathtub which is unusual in some hotels I got one nice and deep and loads of hot water. Breakfast was good and the breakfast area nice and clean and bright. Reception staff are lovely and helpful and helped me with directions and such. The sleep quality brilliant a very quiet hotel. It is an old hotel in a fantastic location to access all Zurich has to offer loved it.

I wish i had booked a double room i'm not used to a single bed although it was comfortable. No where to sit and have a drink in the evening.
