The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the train station and also within walking distance to the Old City Center, one of the main spots for walking and sightseeing, with plenty of restaurants and bars. The self check-in process was straightforward and you even have the option to create your own keycards, which we did, in case you don't want to always rely on your phone for accessing the room. We got the suite on the last floor, so we had a very big terrace which we enjoyed a lot. The room was spacious and we particularily enjoyed the room layout. It was a great stay and we will definitely book again whenever we're in Zurich.

On the bed we had two very different pillows, one of them was too big and too hard to sleep on, so I've had to improvise one from the smaller decorative ones, which I have put in a pillow sheet. On the terrace we had only one chair and we were a couple, it would have been nice to have two chairs, but we used a chair from the room, so no big deal. Both of these were not big issues, we were happy with our stay, thus the excellent rating. It's just that I believe it's important to share any kind of feedback, so that the property management can continously improve.

Simple check-in via WhatsApp. No problem getting into the hotel & our room. Good communication and fast replies via messenging or WhatsApp. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Hotel location was good, within walking distance to the city center and old town. Tram station just outside the hotel that will bring you to the airport within 30 minutes. Entering the hotel lobby and thereafter your room accessible via an app provided by the hotel upon arrival and we have no problem with it. We could check into our room, 1 hour before check-in time. You can register a physical room card key after that at the hotel lobby, easy to use and very handy to have a physical card key than using the app with your mobile phone.

Not that we can think of.

The location was good, not far from the train station. The bed was comfortable. It was clean and modern. Good wifi. Nice tiny balcony, good for checking the weather. Very secure hotel. Nice shower and we liked having a mini refrigerator. There is a tea pot and we liked the coffee they provided. There is a little elevator which helped when taking luggage up. But we liked the steps.

The check in was difficult since we did not have wifi. We had to call someone on the intercom. We did not see this person but they let us in. Then we went up the wrong steps and found out it was not the correct hotel. It was the Fred apartments. Finally we went up the correct steps. The number 621 is on the 2nd floor. We did not realize this at first. We thought the room was a little small, but not as bad as some hotels.

It was a nice location, yet you had to get up a steep hill (if you get there by foot) The room was nice and clean, the balcony small but enough for a few days stay. The checkin was quite easy and good to understand. You can do everything with you phone or you make yourself a key card. We haven’t seen any staff so we can’t really say anything about it.

It would’ve been nice to have a small vending machine for the nights, since the walk to the central station is a bit exhausting especially at night. The toilet is very close to the sink, so this might be difficult for tall people. It was fine for me but I’m small.

The best is the location, walking distance to train station and old town. The tram -number 10 from and to airport stops exactly in front of the hotel. The room is a good size, air conditioning working fine, kettle, coffee and tea in the room. The minibar had only 2 small bottle of still water. The lockers were great, big enough for to cabin luggage and backpack.

The room is not clean at all and the towels not change so after two days is kind a small problem (no dryer in the bathroom or balcony). The balcony very very tiny.

Excellent location. Easy to get to from the airport and main train station. Take the 10 tram and it stops at Haldenegg which is right in front of the building. Short walk (though on a hill so either a steep hill or steep stairs) to old town for sightseeing and restaurants. There is also an Italian restaurant in the building but we did not eat there. We did get a carryout bottle of wine though which was very convenient. We reserved the suite which was on the top floor with a very large outdoor terrace. There was plenty of room for the two of us. Self check-in was no problem at all. A few minor complaints but overall very satisfied and would stay again.

It was not clear to me when I booked it that there was no housekeeping at all. We saw no staff at any time. We could not get the wireless to work and the safe would not close and there was no one to ask for help. It also meant the room was not cleaned or towels replaced during the 5 nights we were there. We were fine with the room not being cleaned but we would have liked new towels after a few days. Also, be aware that the elevator only goes to the 4th floor so if you stay in the suite you must carry your luggage up two more flights of stairs. There are also stairs into the building and up to the check in area. Overall, the room was a good value. At least now I know what to expect.

Large room with small balcony, very clean. Air con was brilliant as very hot in Zurich. Easy to reach hotel on the no 10 tram from the railway station. Stops right outside the hotel. Nice bathroom and great shower. Big comfortable bed, fridge and kettle. We loved our stay at Fred’s ❤️

Pillows.. not great! And remember there are 3 Fred hotels in Zurich we went to the wrong one first. But staff member was really helpful. Don’t walk it from station if you have luggage as it’s a steep incline and a huge amount steps!!

Great Hotel, with self check-in, in the center of Zurich close to train station and perfectly connected to the airport with a tramway in front of the hotel gate! The room is pretty well furnished, the self check-in is pretty easy and quick.

The hotel have no breakfast, could improve at least with some machine which I might didn't see it. They give us room PMR (for people physically handicap), in front of the lift, we were a young couple on babymoon, which is ok but would have been nice to ask us id we needed one . The room might assigned automatically, so I hope they can improve it.

Room was extremely clean. All shiny surfaces were very well polished. Everything in place and very tidy. No signs of wear and tear, dust or dirt anywhere. Location is very central, walking distance from HB which is the main train station hopping off the train from the airport. Kiosks and restaurants 10' walk the furthest. Breakfast wasn't offered.

Nothing really, all went smooth with the automated check-in. Not sure why I had to pay CHF 7 extra when checking in remotely before my arrival, but it's not a major issue given the quality of service I received. Also wonder what the protocol is if you want to contact a person for assistance if something doesn't go to plan with all that tech.

Nice hotel, allowed early checkin, big enough room with a small balcony with street view. There is no one at the front desk, though. Things done by the app. Their response to whastapp was a bit slower at times. I wanted to try this virtual interaction with hotel staff thats why i booked with them. Turns out I'm not a fan of it. Would prefer to have someone to interact with during checkout, check in, ask questions about sightseeing, restaurant, etc. The room was pretty well sized and cleaned, and a tea coffee facility was provided.
