It was close to the train station and shops/restaurants.

The chocolate fountain was out of service. This was one of the reasons I booked here.

it is conveniently located, very close to the central train station in the heart of Zürich. I had the chance to meet the three persons working at the reception. They were very friendly!! Good job Marc and Catia.

Breakfast offering was Ok, but I did not liked the restaurant ambient. A little decoration to make it cozy could do miracles, and they have the space to do it. There is no point to go to the reception for a coffee. A second coffee machine should not hurt hotel cashflow with current rates.

I stayed at the Swiss Chocolate Hotel for one night and had an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their friendly and professional service. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully themed—absolutely worth the price. The hotel’s location is another big plus. It’s just a short walk from the Swiss HB (main station) and very close to the city centre, making it easy to explore Zurich. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city—whether for a quick stay or a longer trip. Great value, great service, and a sweet touch of Swiss charm!

Excellent position for being near central in Zürich, walking distance from train station, close to tram stops too. Clean and compact, wonderful base for exploring the city. Was concerned after reading some reviews but it was a very pleasant stay. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Air conditioning worked well which was needed in the 31 degree heat, not noisy, slept very well. Extremely happy that we stayed there.

Nothing to dislike but be aware rooms and bathroom were compact. However it has everything you need.

Location was perfect. We went to Zurich to visit the Christmas markets and there were 6 within a 10 mintue walk of the hotel. Everything and every place in old town was within a 10-15 minute walk. The central train station was a 5 minute walk from the hotel which we used to train to Vienna and back. The rooms are small compared to American hotels but standard for Europe and with 2 people it was not cramped by any means.

The room got cold one night (not unbearable) and the temperature is not adjustable via the thermostat in the room due to local government policies. I would recommend figuring out the tram/train route from the airport as a taxi cost about 60 CHR ($75).

The great decor, ambiance, theme and location. Extremely close to train station, near great restaurants, next to the University. Breakfast options were convenient.

Curtesy Chocolates are available in rooms without a list of ingredients, potential allergens. We traveled with someone with hazelnut allergies. We asked for a list, but it was not available.

Location, quiet with good sound insulation, attentive front desk and cleaning personnel, great public transportation as well as plenty of restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores nearby. A coop supermarket is only 7 minutes away by foot.

Size of room, too tight in the bathroom, no space to accommodate lots of luggage/bags, not enough hangers. Not suitable for long stays / elderly people. Entrance has a few steps without a ramp which makes it difficult to bring in heavier and bigger bags.

This hotel worked perfectly fine for our 1 night in Zurich after arriving on a long flight and departing the next morning on our Swiss adventures. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station on the other side of the river, but very close to the main tourist area with all the restaurants, churches, etc. This was one of the few hotels on our trip where the sink was in the bathroom behind a closed door – a fact I always appreciate since I get up much earlier than my husband to shower and get ready. The bathroom was a good size and I loved the backlit mirror and separate magnified makeup mirror. I would recommend this hotel as a base for exploring Zurich. It is fun and thematic (the bedside tables looked like stacked chocolate bars and so did the room number on the door), and everything was modern and clean.

Note that this hotel has two self-check-in machines in order to get your room key, and one is outside the hotel itself (the other is inside a very tight reception area). This is not exactly ideal if you’ve arrived late at night on your own or if it is raining, as you do have to stand outside at the machine for several minutes.

Small, yet central- perfect if you just need to sleep and privilege other activities. Perfect location- 1 min from river and across bridge from main train station, but on secondary street- so calm. Old building transformed into stylish small hotel with punchy colours. Cool Can do a check in and keycard programming on your own 24/7 by the hotel entrance.

I am 177cm/ 5 ‘10 and shower is just big enough for me… other wight and height categories could be a bit tight

The hotel is just the opposite side of the train station by across the river which is pretty close for us. And at that time this hotel is the cheapest one which I think it is good value for staying they also have chocolate to try in front of the lobby and storage room to store before I check in at 3 PM

Not significant things that I don’t like. Because I think it’s related with the money I spent. Oh, I think of one thing the room is pretty small and I can open the luggage for two people at the same time otherwise you don’t have the space to walk
