The hotel is 5 min walk from the main train station. Next to a Starbucks. The room was clean. We had a room facing a courtyard - not the main road - so it was quiet and we had a decent sleep. For Zurich, the price is decent. Since we only needed one night, before a flight the next day, we did not need a lot of "facilities". However on the plus side - this was the only hotel we used, out of 6 nights that had UK TV channels.

There was no EU electric socket, only swiss ones. I did not expect a UK one, but a EU one would have been nice to have. The password for the wife is written on the door - and that area was not very well lit - plus the font was small and the password has consecutive small 2 "r"s - which can be confused for n - that does not help either. I am still going to leave high marks for the overall stay -- since these comments do not deserve to slash the score - 9 is still suitable for what the hotel offers. It does not have kettle - but most hotels in Zurich does not offer this.

Excellent central location , easy access from the train station and to all public transport. Rooms have been renovated and for a 2* hotel they are very nice, comfortable and have all the basic needs. In the double room there was plenty of space for storing bags, clothes, a small desk. Bathroom was also a good size.

No complaints during our stay! Just be aware that In high summer without air conditioning it might be hot- although the fan provided in the room (and for the rooms out of any direct sun) it was fine for us end of May. Zurich being an expensive city, the price was high for a 2-star.

The staff were so friendly and accomodating. The room was as expected from my online research. It was clean, beds were comfortable, there was enough lighting and electrical outlets. The bathroom mirror is hung very high - a bit of an inconvenience for my 5 foot (152 cm) height, but there was another mirror in the room. Breakfast was great; dinner in the restaurant was very good. Loved the location. Niederdorf is right there, and wonderful to wander through with resaturants, cafes and shops. The street noise did not bother us, but might bother some.

Lower the bathroom mirror. Good to know: there are some stairs to navigate your luggage up, before you get to the elevators.

The hotel was in a great location, right off the train station in the heart of the city! It was so easy to get around from the hotel. The room was very clean and the bathroom was as well. The room was a little small but we didn't feel too cramped. There was complimentary instant coffee and a variety of teas which was nice in the morning or evening.

The room was a little noisy since it was in the heart of the city. This didn't bother us because we slept with the windows closed because it was chilly when we visited. I could forsee this being a problem during the warmer months.

• I was disappointed by the breakfast service. It was advertised to start at 6:30 AM, but it wasn’t ready on time. • I had an early flight to catch, so missing breakfast due to poor timing was frustrating, especially when it’s supposed to be a standard offering.

Historic but modern hotel located within walking distance of HB railway station and old town. The top-floor dormer room was cozy with a very comfortable bed, desk, good lighting, and a sitting bench. The bathroom had quality towels and soap amenities. The included breakfast was a selection of savory/sweet items and beverages. Staff members were friendly and efficient.

If you're a light sleeper, you may notice an audible HVAC-type sound coming from roof area which was close to my 5th floor room. Not noticeable during the day but definitely at night. Maybe not all rooms are affected depending on location.

Perfect location in city centre on river. Tram hub interchange right out front. Tram 10 from airport delivers right to hotel front. Staff at reception are excellent in demeanour and helpfulness. Breakfast chef Marcello is a happy accommodating face each morning. Hotel is an older building but interior is very acceptable, although rooms are a bit on the small side. We found the Half Price voucher a great saving for travel on trains, trams and buses and entry to attractions valid for 1 month. Saved us heaps.

Quite pricey but cheaper than most in Zurich. Switzerland is an expensive place to visit.

Gorgeous and quiet. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Luggage room was lockable after checkout which was reassuring. Location is perfect, a short walk from the station and near all the tourist hotspots. There's also a guest lounge with free tea and coffee - the only free things in Zürich 😄

The very top floor has a laundry which runs during the day - so it is a little noisy if you want a siesta.

Great location: The hotel was about 250m from the main rail station, and on the edge of the old town area. The breakfast was good, cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs, fruit, muesli, yoghurt, and for those like me who need gluten free, gluten free bread rolls were prepared (heated up). luggage could be stored securely after check out for free. Tea and coffee not in room, but they were available downstairs. The room was quiet, despite busy location. I would definitely stay again.

About 10 stairs at front entrance (inside front door), before reception desk, but this was a minor issue. The hotel does then have a lift to all other floors. .

Great location for tram links, train and bus stations, although easy to walk to a lot of sights. Good sized modern room. Comfortable bed, great bathroom. Able to store my bag until I could check in. Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff (front desk, at breakfast and housekeeping). There was one lovely lady on the desk in the evenings who learned my name, great personal touch. Room was hot but the room was equipped with a fan. Decent breakfast spread. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
