The hotel is extremely well located, across the river from the Hauptbahnhof, about 10 minutes walk away. The hotel is small (5 floors of 5 rooms) and quiet. The room was well furnished and comfortable . The hotel provided an adequate and tasty continental breakfast within the room price.

Note to travellers in Switzerland. The Swiss have their own style of electrical socket which is different to all other European countries. I had to buy an adaptor after I found that the adaptors that I had brought with me wouldn't fit the room sockets.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was ideally located and was a close proximity to the main train station in Zurich. I had read previous reviews prior to booking which were very helpful. Whilst this hotel is not the most modern, I was extremely comfortable there and enjoyed my stay.

There was nothing that I did not like. I struggled initially with the online check in on day of arrival due to arriving at the hotel after 8pm however the hotel staff resolved this quickly.

Location was great and the hotel very easy to find. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms tidied each day and towels changed. Although breakfast was not at the hotel but the very pleasant pastisserie next door was enough 2 croissants butter marmalade and 2 coffees. Would stay again if I'm ever in Zurich again

Check in closed at 8pm. I was late due to a delayed train. So whilst I was given a code to get in that only allows you into a lobby area where you have to check in with a tablet, pay via credit card and authenticate a room card. Then the authenticated room card allows you access to the hotel and your room. Although I could not see where I had been given a room number so had to call a night reception number to find out my room number. To be fair they answered straightaway but I did find check in quite stressful for 5 minutes especially as the front door kept opening onto the street and I had my wallet and cards out. Apart from that I really did enjoy my stay there.

The hotel is old, it was very charming and clean. My room was cleaned daily, and the towels were changed every day. The location was perfect within walking distance of the city center and all attractions places. I only had breakfast at the hotel once, but it was sufficient and well-prepared, with everything thoughtfully arranged. A special thanks to the Turkish staff member, Ms. Ayfer, for her pleasant conversation and to the hotel manager, Mr. Roger, for his kind attitude. I plan to visit Zürich again in winter and would love to stay at this hotel again. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Location was ideal - 5 minute walk to the 'Central' tram stop interchange which had a direct link (no.10 tram) to the airport. The hotel was in a quiet location (you couldn't hear any traffic/tram noise from Central) and only a 10 minute walk back past Central to the bars and restaurants of the old town or over the river to the national museum, the main central station and the top of Banhofstrasse, as well as a Co-op and a Migrolino supermarket. My room and bed was very comfortable and clean and the TV had the 4 main English channels! The inclusive Wifi link worked perfectly. Breakfast options were more than enough for me, no cooked meats but breads, cheeses, croissants and jams with eggs cooked to order as an option. The 24 hour reception staff were always available and very helpful and friendly, and English speaking.

I'd have liked a bar area (maybe the one used at breakfast?) to come back to and relax in the evenings, with drinks available, but understand that would probably make the hotel 4 star not 3 star and prices would go up.

Love this hotel. Yes, it is dated, but for us this is a positive thing as we really like the decor and style and it feels a bit like you've travelled back in time which we loved (a matter of taste). It's certainly unique, have never been in a hotel like this. Very clean. Lovely staff who help instantly if you ask for anything. Unbeatable location and price. There is as Coop supermarket a few minutes walk away and Zurich HB railway station is very close. You can borrow an electric kettle, cups, plates, for your room...you just have to ask. We've done this both times we stayed (for one night each time) and returned the kettle to reception in the morning. Breakfast is simple (bread rolls, croissant, jams, cheese, boiled egg, juice, coffee....it's not a buffet) but enough, and you can order extra from a menu for a small charge.

I had a very good experience at the hotel. The location is perfect—central yet calm and quiet. The included breakfast was good. The room was thoughtfully designed and the desk made it perfect for my work trip. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed, great shower, and the desk, which was perfect for getting work done with reliable Wi-Fi. Overall, a relaxing and convenient stay—I’d highly recommend it and would gladly return!

While the stay was excellent, it did feel a bit pricey. However, the quality of the experience largely made up for it. I still recommend this hotel if you plan to stay in Zurich.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was via a voucher with the café next door, and was very good. Location was perfect - a 3 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof, and only a few minutes from Zurich Old Town, maybe a ten minute walk to Lake Zurich. There are a LOT of exits to the Hauptbahnhof and, typically, the first one I selected was at exactly the opposite end to where I needed to be. If you can locate the exit for Bahnhofquai, or for the Swiss National Museum, you'll be heading in the right direction!

Everything was great.

The location was just a few minutes' walk from Zurich main station. The staff were friendly, multi lingual and welcoming. The bedroom was spotless. The window soundproofing was a little old but the front of the hotel where we were was pretty quiet. We were only staying overnight to catch the train and although you heard the occasional vehicle the road was quiet at night. The breakfast was good and they offered good gluten free bread for my husband.

The windows and shower are not the newest but perfectly fine. Especially as the price was very good given we were in Zurich!

A quiet and very convenient location only about a five minute level walk from Zurich HB railway station. The reception was open for late arrivals and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and better than I expected for the reasonable price, plus it had all the facilities I needed for my short stay. The continental breakfast was sufficient to restore energy levels and they had other extra chargeable items available on request.

Considering the room price and the fact that Switzerland is very expensive, I have to say I have no complaints at all about this hotel.
