Great location - only about 5mins walk from Zurich HB, and great location within the city to see all the sights. My room was lovely, nice view, bathroom and everything else was perfect. There’s a safe and minibar, water in the minibar was definitely free, although possibly everything in it was. Mini toblerones left on the pillow was a lovely touch. International power sockets in case you don’t have a Swiss plug. The woman who checked me in and worked on reception (I didn’t catch her name) was so kind, welcoming and ready to help with anything, thank you to her! You can leave your bags after checking in. Breakfast included and has a good selection - yoghurt, hot eggs, bacon etc. and more. Really would recommend staying here, lovely place!

The hotel is really located in the heart of Zurich's Old Town, within walking distance of major attractions, the train station, shops, restaurants and tram stops. The staff are very nice, helpful and polite. The breakfast had a wide choice, everything was delicious. The room size is quite good, the bed is comfortable, the soundproofing of the window is great. No loud street noises were noticeable on a Saturday night with the window closed. The best service was the lent mobile hotspot, which allowed us to surf the internet and search for information anywhere. The chocolate on the pillow was very nice on our arrival.

We did not like the creaking of the laminate flooring with every step. The glass door to the bathroom is not a good choice, it is too translucent, if you use the bathroom at night the light wakes up your partner. The air conditioning is very convenient when it is hot in the summer, as the room is on the top floor, but unfortunately the temperature is not adjustable, only the strength of the fan. Unfortunately, even with the air conditioning on, the room was warm in the evening on hot days.

The fact that I bothered to waste my time to write a review and painstakingly find appropriate photos mean this place is DAMN GOOD! Having sparkling, still water dispenser and coffee machine at the lobby is a SURE WIN for me with fruits laying around at different floors! Location is strategic in the city centre, near the train station and convenient for me to visit ETH Zurich for my meeting just behind it with many eating places surrounding and even beside it! I had stayed in many cities and hotels, including 4 stars, in the world but never had I stayed in a room which provides free sparkling water, still water, beer, Coke in the fridge with a small Swiss chocolate on top of each pillow (2 for mine) in the room! In addition, we have Swiss, Euro, China and UK power plug options in the room so you can even survive without travel adapters if you come from those countries! The toilet, tissue and even face oil control paper are provided with exceptional thick quality I think I can print them in the laser printer! The stone heated half 'boiled' or should I say 'grilled' egg was AMAZING experience for me. I requested for the iron and ironboard the day before and the housekeeping arrived on time SHARP like the accurate Swiss timekeeping reliability efficiency. My only regret is not to stay longer! Argh! Top grade hospitality, just take my money!

Maybe the only thing I can be picky with is the smaller space without bathtub. There is no other picky things I can find fault on! There was a customer who is vegetarian / vegan who had limited selection for breakfast so this is probably one limitation that the hotel should address. Personally, I am satisfied with the spread and I think I can survive with just fruits and vegetable selections (though maybe slightly limited but good enough choices for me) if there is still not enough option!

This is a very nice place to stay. The location is central old town with many sights, bars and restaurants nearby and Lake Zurich an easy walk away. Public transport (central train station, tram stops and Polybahn cable car) are also very close by. All the staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi worked perfectly and I was offered the use of a free mobile hotspot device as mobile data roaming was problematic, given that Switzerland is not in the EU. The breakfast offered was tasty and more than adequate, and because I had to leave the hotel too early to be able to have breakfast on several mornings, the staff put together a "lunchbox" that was delivered to the fridge in my room every day. Coffee, tea and water were available free of charge 24/7 in the lobby. My room was compact but very well designed with attention to detail; plenty of clothes hangers (and not the mean variety without a hook either : ), towel rails and heaters, a magnifying mirror in the bathroom, plenty of sockets (some with permanent power and adaptors for various different plugs) and of course a comfortable bed. If/when I return to Zurich, I won't hesitate to stay here again!

Room was small but was enough for 2 people. There were 2 separate twin beds which I requested and room was very clean. Room was available before check-in time which allowed us to relax after a long train ride. Great location as walking distance from train station and city center. 2 gentlemen at the reception desks were very helpful when we asked directions. They were patient and cheerful every time we asked for directions to different places we would like to go. Breakfast was delicious with lot of options. Ladies who were manning the breakfast area were so nice and efficient in maintaining the tables clean and food well supplied. One lady who was cleaning the breakfast area in the afternoon lent us some utensils so we can eat our take-away restaurant food. She just asked us to return them in the morning or leave them in our room.

The lady who was at the reception desk was rude when I asked her directions to the Bachmann confectionery. I asked her nicely to write down the name of the street and the famous Swedish torte. She looked at me with exasperation and uttered some words that I did not understand. What a stark contrast with the 2 gentlemen who also work at the reception desk.

The hotel is a family owned small hotel. The staff at the reception welcomed us warmly. The room was modernly decorated and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. They offer free drinks at the minibar. Coffee machine is available at the entrance for free tea and coffee. The apples served at the reception were delicious. The breakfast was reasonable. The staff was always nice to everyone. The location is close to many places. There are cafes and restaurants at every corner. It was a very pleasant stay for us. Could not find anything to criticize.

In the heart of Zurich's atmospheric Old Town. A smallish and simply furnished room, but with many thoughtful details that made it a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Although a single room, the bed was comfortable and a very generous size. Plug sockets for various countrys' plug types are built in (including UK). I had requested a kettle in the room, and found it waiting for me there. Some complementary drinks are provided in the mini-fridge, and free self-service tea/coffee is provided in the entrance foyer at any time. Inclusive breakfast was standard fare and of very decent quality. Would be very happy to return and recommend.

The location is great - right in the old town of Zurich - so you are close to all the main attractions, hip locations and the main train station. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, and this mindset applies to all of the facilities of the hotel - from the free tea, coffee, and fruit, to power adapters and kettle that you can borrow to the first refill of the minibar. Last but not least, the rooms are lovely as well, as they are neat and cleaned daily. Overall a great stay!

Excellent location, central for the Old Town and less than 5 minutes walk from the station. Walk was easy even with suitcases. Staff were all friendly and helpful, there was always someone at reception to greet us when we came in, even late at night. Some reviews mentioned it being loud but this was not an issue for us at all. Breakfast was great, had everything we wanted I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone

Great location in the heart of old town Zürich. Very convenient for walking to restaurants and sights around Zurich. Despite being in a loud area, the hotel was well soundproofed and very quiet. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was made fresh and had lots of options to choose from. Front desk staff was very helpful.

Very simple room for the price paid, but that seems to be standard in an expensive place like Switzerland. Lobby smelled like cigarettes from people smoking outside.
