Great hotel just next to the station and very close to bus and tram stations too. Room was comfortable and I liked the layout lalthough was a bit too dark in there but wasn’t a deal breaker. I love dim lights and sunscreen at the window was a good feature too. Great spacious bathroom. Great mattress but pillows are way too soft. I enjoyed breakfast but I felt like needed more variety on some items, although I have to say home made rice pudding was actually a great addition, haven’t seen this in any hotels before! It was yummy. Gym also has a little fitness room, provided with cold water and fruit. They also have sauna which I didn’t use same as rooftop area, only bcs it was raining my whole stay there. I can see it being lovely in sunny days. Staff were lovely and friendly. I would stay again for sure.

Too soft pillows. Also felt like needed an European outlet also closer to the mirrors as I was doing my hair in one outlet which is at the desk and no mirror. Maybe hotel could sell some plugs for guests to buy. I didn’t see any, maybe I should’ve asked the receptionist.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The check-in process was very fast, and we were even able to check in earlier than the official time, which was extremely helpful after a long flight. The location is very convenient—just two train stops away from the city center, close to the airport, and with a supermarket nearby where you can easily buy essentials like water and snacks. The hotel itself is modern, with new facilities and very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was also excellent, offering a nice variety of dishes in a continental style. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit.

Mercure Hotel is located outside the zurich city near the Altstetten Train station.it takes around 10mins to the Zurich Main central train station from here. Since Zurich city center hotels were pricier we opted for this hotel because many days we took day tours, many bus tours start from the main bus terminal which is adjoining the Main Zurich train station which was 10mins away.nearby supermarket was useful.

Room Size was a bit small as we opted to stay out of the city center we were expecting a larger room which wasn't the case.No coffee making facilities in the room which would have been useful in the cold climate.

Near Altstetten train station. I had a newly renovated room, which was really nice! Comfortable bed, work area, extra soap/shampoo holder in the shower, tea/coffee in room. Took a second to figure out that one had to screw in the lightbulbs to make the lamp over the sofa work… Breakfast was good, but not outstanding. Met a lady in the elevator who said her room card had not worked, and when she got a new one, the room was already occupied by someone else - which was kinda concerning. I made sure to bolt my door. A bottle of water would have been nice. Overall good hotel - would stay again (but bring extra locks…).

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and highly recommend it. The design is modern and stylish, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, with easy access to public transportation and a supermarket right below. The spa is excellent, with many saunas and a beautiful terrace. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, with a large window and full-sized toiletries like shampoo, body lotion, and shower gel. In the evening, the bar is open, offering a great place to relax with a drink. I would definitely stay here again!

There was no fridge in the room, and the window couldn’t be opened. Additionally, it wasn’t possible to control the air conditioning. While the room was generally comfortable, there were moments when it felt warm, and I couldn’t adjust the temperature as it was pre-set. Also, room cleaning is only provided if you request it at the front desk.

A LACK OF FRESH AIR IS OF HUGE CONCERN !!! I really did not sleep well due to this fact - I was also told that the air is recirculated -which makes me question if there are airfilters in place that are protecting us ?

Very well located, just next to the train station (two stops away from Zurich HB) and right 2 minutes away from the Swiss Life Arena! Staff is lovely, speak English if needed and will help you in any way they can! Room is clean and nice. Although when you’re there for multiple nights, you do need to ask them to clean the room.

Room was simply missing a fridge (especially in summertime) and a locker to store important objects.

The bed was comfortable, the aircon worked, spacious room & bathroom. There was a coop attached to the building and a good restaurant/bar. They had a hotel store in the reception area, an ATM also.

I thought it was overpriced even in Switzerland standards (over $500AUD for 1 night). The room was lived in and nothing spectacular. The shower would spray a lot of water outside on the floor. There was no mini bar in the room and from memory we got the 2nd ‘best’ room option. We stayed in a much nicer hotel for less in an expensive area near Thun/Interlaken.

Location was really convenient as its few minutes walk to nearest train station. Hotel was absolutely spotless with all we needed. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They all made us feel welcomed.

Only thing was that we have requested room cleaning service for our day 2 but this was not done. So it was quite disappointing to come back after a long day of citywalk only to find out that the room was left the same condition as when we left it in the morning.
