Highly recommend DG Hotel for your next stay in Taipei. I arrived very late at night but they had left me such detailed check in instructions that it was very easy and quick to check in. The rooms are cosy, clean, quiet and comfortable with amazing bathrooms. The bed is comfortable and the housekeeping is excellent. There is a coffee shop on the bottom level of the hotel, a MRT station 5 minute walk away and many shops within 10 minute walk. The staff are so helpful and kind. If you want to take a taxi to or from the airport, arrange it with the hotel as it is cheaper.

My only criticism is that some of the rooms on the top floor (which is where I was staying) were only accessible via stairs and I had a heavy suitcase that was hard to carry up, so if you don't want the same situation, make sure you request a different room.

This is the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed! The design is amazing and comfy! My economic room although tiny, it is marvellously beautiful with original artistic touches, clean, and very comfortable. Staff are very friendly! It feels like home, better than the expensive hotel chains. It makes you feel personally welcomed and rest well, surrounded by soothing lovely arts, every detail is taken care of.

I wish there is Chinese breakfast available: 稀饭、馒头、中式早餐。

The location was great- right in the historical centre on Taipei. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely stay. The rooms were small but very nicely decorated and the bed was ver6 comfortable.

Would have been nice if the coffee shop attached to the hotel opened before 10am.

Charming small hotel located right on Dihua Street, with plenty of nice cafes and shops nearby. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed.

Nothing I didn’t like, but just know that you will need to walk around for breakfast and, especially, for coffee, since cafes generally don’t open until 11am or later.

Best part of the room is the decor, very iconic. Seems like modeled after Europe style. Bed is very comfy. Toilet has a bidet. Many picture opportunity inside the hotel in upper floors. Place is right smack in Dihua, and I could walk to Wanhua or Ximending through the local riverside parks (only if you are adventurous and like to walk). Staff service is very good.

I used travel adaptor, but it seems the contact isn't good.

Great location in historic street with great traditional shops and walking distance to train and to day and night markets. Very quirky decor, spotlessly clean and super quiet.

Some minor difficulty in communication with staff, due to our lack of Chinese. But we managed ok.

I booked this for the aethetics and it did not disappoint. It is 8 mins walk to a train station. The cheapest i found for solo room with private bathroom. What more could i ask for.

Liked the room decor, cleanliness, and location at the edge of Di Hua street.

Check-in desk closes after 8 and even though we had entry code and the instructions to pick up the keys, it was a bit confusing

The property was really cozy and strategically located. I like how it was in one of Taiwan's oldest streets so it gave a really cultural vibe.

The coffee shop opens a bit later than we’d prefer but that seems to be a Taiwan thing.
