Room – The size of the room is very decent, and I absolutely loved the beds! They were incredibly comfortable and provided us with a great night’s sleep. Food – The food was good, and the portions were generous. The only downside was that we had the same breakfast every day for the entire three days. Location – Excellent! I really appreciated how close the hotel is to the night market. It was so convenient for exploring the local area.

Service – I had requested room cleaning by placing a note on the door, but it wasn’t done initially. I had to call reception to have the room cleaned, but they responded promptly and took care of it.

We recently stayed at Hotel Midtown Richardson for 7 nights during our trip to Taipei, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location is absolutely excellent—it’s close to the station and just across from Ximending, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city, dining, and shopping. We loved being in the heart of the action while still having a comfortable place to retreat to. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again, especially for the unbeatable location. If you’re a light sleeper, maybe bring earplugs, but otherwise, this is a solid choice for a Taipei visit.

The rooms were clean and well-maintained, which we really appreciated. However, the walls are quite thin, and noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway was noticeable. We could hear people closing curtains, laughing, or even walking outside our door, which occasionally disrupted our peace.

The location was excellent which is located right infront of tourist night market (Ximending). MRT located within 2-3 mins walk from hotel. Breakfast with make of variety to select. Staff are friendly and were helpful.

Hotel room wasn’t very spacious but was decent enough. There isn’t seems to have enough hanging space for clothes (Eg. Toilet) I booked a family room of 4 but was given 3 hangers, there was another 3 hanging spot at the open space which make it up for the missing hanger. The hotel seems to be cater for mainly tour group. Which make it very crowded daily during breakfast time, have some difficulties finding seat every morning.

Location was excellent, walk to anywhere & everywhere; lots of businesses to choose from like food stalls, boutiques, 7-11, malls etc. close to train & bus stations but we mostly took UBER & private car service for our day trips. Room was a bit cozy for 4 adults but bed & the overall atmosphere esp cleanliness was more than ok. On checkin, the room was only set up for 3people(?) tho at checkin we specified 4, so we had to ask for an extra set of towels, coffee, etc which the staff obliged right away. Breakfast was great but need more Western variety like cheeses, bacon, sausages, waffles or bagels. Plenty to choose from as far as Asian foods, but beacause we were there for 4nites, we got a bit tired of the daily menu

Very hard to communicate with most of the staff; i would recommend esp the front desk/concierge, wait staff to be better “communicators” esp when asked about recommendations, directions & other simple requests.

Location was well walking distance from Ximending night market, train is just few meters away via Exit 4. Room was pretty ok, with 2 single beds, bidet and free breakfast. Although it is a bit pricey but it is because it was a peak season (Dec 29 - 31), this is a good hotel to stay in.

Prepare to line up into the elevator as they only have 3 elevators serving all 15 floors. Another one, although not against the hotel but the breakfast area may get a bit chaotic around 8:30-9:30 AM where there are sooooo many people getting more than what they can eat, messing on the floor, and kids running and playing on the coffee machine and drinking area.

Convenient location. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Toilet has a small 10cents hole right in front of the towel bowl, on the floor. Pillows were too soft and rooms were too small. Only 1 adult can walk around the room. Glass on toilet can see the shadows of the person showering inside. We bought 2 rooms in 1 booking and another 1 room in another booking - we booked the same type but only 1 of the room is bigger is size and comes with bath tub. Every day serve the same breakfast. Food was not fantastic and so boring.

the location, it is a few steps from ximending #5 & #6 exits and walking distance to the rest of ximending buzz. only exit 6 has escalators / lifts. there's a post-office right outside the hotel as well, could be convenient for those who wants to post buys home. there isn't a 7-11 right outside but about 5min walk away to a snoopy 7-11. There's a 7-11 at the mrt too but very small. the front desk staff are very good looking! and professional & polite. they were helpful in all ways cos i had issues with the main wifi network in my room but was given alternatives that worked. they helped with my transport booking to airport as well. the other staff were nice and friendly too. I also stayed at another city suites chain (papa whale) which is more boutique and very nicely design, but the rooms were really small. the staff there weren't as nice. so it was really nice to move to a bigger hotel.

our family got a few rooms. my room was on #10, bigger but does not have a window (as per booking). the wallpapers were showing signs of wear & tear too. the shower seal is also worn and thus water would leak into the dry area. thankfully not very badly. the laundry room is only open 10am - 10pm so not very convenient. cos i'd imagine most of us would wake up earlier or stay up late to do laundry vs staying in the hotel for the day? it seems like a really popular hotel so i hope they'd upgrade their rooms soon

The location was excellent. It's very close to exit no. 4 of Ximen Station. There was a convenience store near the hotel. It was 1 minute walk to the store. The room was OK. We had a very big window glass.

We stayed 4 people in one room with 2 big beds. But the housekeeper didn't clean our bathtub, wash basin and used-cups/glasses at all. They just vacuumed the floor, cleared the rubbish bin and changed new towels. Next door was noisy. It seems that the room wall was not soundproof.

Manuel at the front desk provided an exceptional experience. He went out of his way to help us. He helped us with the Taipei 101 A Joy reservation when we were having trouble with our reservation. He also provided very good recommendations for food and restaurants. I stayed an extra night because of his service. I wished there was a way to thank him.

We saw cockroaches in our room on the last night. I wish the cleaning service would do a better job.

The location was superb, just next to the subway (which could get you to other places) and just across Ximending shopping area. Breakfast was good and though there was quite a crowd, it was generally easy to get a place to be seated. Rooms were spacious enough.

The laundry room only opens from 10AM to 10PM so we did not get many opportunities to wash/dry our clothes as that period is usually the time that we would be exploring the city and its night markets. The hotel should consider making this available 24-Hours.
