Highly recommended hotel. Located not far from the Japanese district (10 min walk), near bus stops and the metro. Surrounded by cafes, shops, restaurants, and banks (useful for exchanging money), a small local market 100 m behind the building. The location is perfect for going everywhere or staying in the area. Hotel on a large intersection, I advise you to ask for a room at the top and on the courtyard side. Very kind staff (Japanese style), attentive, they changed my room to be quieter. At the bottom of the hotel a Japanese restaurant, very nice and very family-friendly. Very clean hotel (Japanese style). Spacious room (15m2) with a small armchair and small table, desk, and Japanese WC (heated). A fridge is well equipped for fruit purchased at the local market next door.

As it is a large intersection with many scooters, pollution is significant in this area.

Polite and helpful staff. Room is clean and well-maintained despite that the hotel is an old hotel. Location is alright, close to bus stops with buses taking you to key locations. Close by to shops and eateries and a night market/market with good food available. Bed is comfortable.

Room is small compared to other hotels I have stayed in Taipei at comparable prices. No water dispensers available which was abit surprising but staff was happy to give me extra bottled mineral water whenever I asked. No key card available. Needed to open the room door with key. Multiple tokens required (1 to tap in the lift, 1 for power in the room) which was abit inconvenient.

Great customer service, good location and food! Fast email response, staff were friendly and helpful. Short walking distance to the MRT, night market and restaurants. Recommended!

Breakfast, limited choice

Great location, nice and clean neighbourhood, close to restaurants, bus stops and two metro stations. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Japanese restaurant at basement level has very good food for lunch and dinner with reasonable pricing.

Hotel is a short walk from the Mingquan West mrt station served by both the yellow and red lines so it's super convenient to get around. The airport bus stops near the hotel as well. As for the front desk staff, they were professional and welcoming. Very helpful too, giving me useful suggestions on how to get to various sights. Thank you! The room is simply furnished but comfortable. Very quiet too, condusive to a good night's rest.

Everything was good. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Always smiling.

The shower curtains should be periodically changed. There was a damp smell coming from it that filled the room.

You couldn't open the windows, but could only use the air conditioner. Though, the location is very good to get around, the hotel is right next to a main road with heavy traffic. So, perhaps, air conditioning is the better option.

The hotel room designed like Japanese style. It’s very clean, comfortable bed and hotel floor come with carpet flooring. Beside, the Japanese style toilet bowl and shower area are very clean.

The prices of hotel not suitable for the person who travel with limited budget.

I appreciated the staff being at least multilingual (Mandarin, Japanese, English, +). The Japanese style breakfast buffet was excellent. This is my go-to, affordable hotel in Taipei.

This isn't a complaint, it's my wish: a Japanese style public bath on the roof (if there are any plans for renovations in the future).

Location was very important to me. This hotel provided this key element during my stay. Although the facilities were a bit old, I still enjoyed the bathtub for relaxing.
