Good breakfast with many options, nice food in the restaurant as well. Comfy beds and spacious rooms. Friendly staff who are always there to help a hand. Free access to Water World which is a nice place for kids to slide in the pool. Also the pools near the hotel are nice with the option of getting food and drinks. One pool is also open for locals, while the other pool is only for hotel guests.

If you want to enjoy the beach you might be a bit disappointed because at this side of Dar Es Salaam the beaches and water are usually dirty. Even though they are always hard working to take all the litter away! Even though the view and the lovely sea breeze is still there! And if you want to swim just enjoy the pools!

The place, the view and the facility are very nice. We had a problem with hot water for the shower, but the hotel and maintenance personnel were quick to attend to our problem. The dinner we eat at the hotel restaurant was nice.

The breakfast was not nice at all. More breakfast options is needed. The kitchen can improve interms of how they cook the food. We asked the receptionist to give us information on sightseeing and tours available, and the lady told us she doesn't have information. I expected a 4* hotel to atleast have brochures or info on tourism. So we had to google and find tour guide ourself. Unfortunately the tour guide we found turned out to be just a driver. So we wasted money on that tour.

Everything was just perfect. Clean, well serviced and the ambiance was amazing. The staff were welcoming and very nice. I loved their willingness to assist all through and it was genuine hospitality.

One evening I decided to order dinner from the restaurant and when it eventually came, the meat was a bit tough though very delicious but the accompaniment (chapatti) had a bitter taste. Turns out it was under cooked (the dough was raw on the inside).

The room was good with the basic amenities. Nice swimming pool with a restaurant that serves pizza, fries, drinks, dessert. The location is quiet, picturesque, and great for a short stay. Breakfast is the usual, nothing exquisite, but okay. Overall a good stay. Parking is available for cars.

Not wanting to complain but, the beach is a big turn off, if you are going to the hotel for the Beach/Waves it's a big NO. The main restaurant is a big letdown, high prices with less quantity plus service is too slow. Also, room service is a big No. A bottle of water goes for 8,000/=, I mean what charges are those for room service! Could do more with food options at the restaurant.

White Sands is absolutely fantastic! The rooms were impressive. The whole resort was super clean! The staff were so friendly. The pool areas are just incredible! The water world that residents have access to, just amazing! The resort is by for the best I’ve seen here in Dar. There is the issue of the dirt / seaweed washing onto the beach, but there were teams raking this up in the mornings. The DJ by the pool was great! the shallow pools cater for smaller children - we found it very enjoyable with our 3 year old. it ticked so many boxes for us!

Beautiful location, great facilities, great staff.

They had an event on the Saturday, which involved a DJ right outside our room from early afternoon until after midnight. Bass of window shaking volume. so uncomfortable had to go out. Also some of the guests at the event just decided to eat and drink and talk noisily on our balcony table. How ignorant is that? the hotel should tell guests on arrival of events that may disturb them, so we can choose rooms. I’d never have accepted the room at check in had I known of the event. A leak in the bathroom led to floor being permanently wet and did report it many times but never fixed.

Wonderful view with a lot of space to move around as always. The renovation was a must and it works especially at the rooms and toilets. The dinner was perfect and the live music was another level.

Breakfast was superb - lovely choice of food. Gym was amazingly well equipped and a great location and accessible at all times we required it. Room was very good although the bed was slightly uncomfortable because the pillows were too hard and the air conditioning unit was extremely noisy but you put up with these things for the location and stunning views

Beach itself was very disappointing though because of the amount of rubbish washed up every day. Made bathing in the sea virtually impossible. Hotel did try their best to clear the rubbish each day employing staff and a digger but it is a coastal problem that needs to be handled from source. Banning of plastic bags is a good start! I thought the food and drinks were over priced compared to neighbouring facilities. could eat comparable food and drink identical beers and sodas in hotels next door for half the price so that meant the hotel lost out on an element of our revenue because of it. Why pay 7,000 TZS for a beer when it is 3,000 TZS next door

I loved the ocean view ,hospitable staff and when when we opted for a late check out it was effortlessly granted ,thank you white sands 🥰.Thanks to the assistance rendered to us when we needed to get to the boat taking us to Budya Island.

During our booking we paid for a bed and breakfast but to our surprise ,we were again asked to pay for same breakfast because we needed room service 🥺😞

As always I find the services at this hotel to be exceptional, with professional staff who are well trained to do their job. It is a very nice setting and relaxing. The rooms are well maintained and clean. Beddings and towels are well cleaned and of high quality. I have been coming here for meetings and leisure over the past 13 years so I am very familiar with the services provided. Keep up the excellent work and services.
