This place left me with the warmest and most positive memories! The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. When we arrived, they greeted us with fresh mangosteens. There were mangosteen trees near our room, and they even let us pick some ourselves. They also have many adorable cats and one friendly dog. We loved spending time playing with them. There were some board games available (although not a big selection), and they also offer excursions, which I definitely recommend booking! We joined the kayak tour along the river, and it turned out to be the best excursion of my life. Not because it was something extraordinary in itself, but because it brought us so many positive emotions. The guide took such good care of us, it felt really special. After the kayak trip, he also took us to a waterfall and stopped by several beautiful spots. The guide even offered to take pictures of us on our phones, which was very kind and thoughtful. There’s also a shop owned by the same family close to the hotel, which is very convenient. The location itself is great too.

As for the downsides, the light bulb in our bathroom burned out later on, but I’m sure the owners would have fixed it right away if we had told them. The only real inconvenience was the door lock. We had to insert and remove the lock manually every time we wanted to enter or leave the room, which wasn’t very convenient. The room was also a bit too dark. But honestly, all the positives far outweighed these small issues. That’s why I gave this place the highest rating. I’ll always remember it with a smile!

Bamboo House is run by a family, who are very nice and accommodating. I really liked the spacious bungalow with bathrooom. Also, they have a little shop, so you dont need to walk to town to buy all necessities. You can book your tours and transport directly at the guest house. The location is close to Khao Sok national park, its restaurants and stores - but at the same time, you will experience piece and quiet. Perfect for nature lovers.

The water pressure in the shower could be a bit higher. 5 Baht for water bottle refill is not much, but I would suggest making it free (maybe increase the room rates by 50 Baht to include free water) If you dont like animals, maybe dont come here. The bungalows are close to the jungle, so some animals (moths, frogs and even bats) might find their way inside. For me, this added to the charm, though (and a mosquito net is provided).

First off the hotel: we stayed here one night before we did the Khao Sok National park 2D1N tour. These treehouse style huts are very good and clean, beds are comfy and the aircon is decent and the fan is too. They have mosquito nets too to keep the jungle critters out. The owners are lovely and helpful, they book the Khao Sok tour for you, just message them through here to organise it. The location is good too, everything's within 10 mins walk and some good food places. They keep your luggage safe while you do the Khao Sok tour. Only thing I picked up on was the shower didn't work properly with pressure and heat, but I am familiar with shower fixing and flushed the pipes out and it worked perfectly afterwards. The Khao Sok National park tour was a great tour to do and I won't go into detail here as I will give them their own rating on google. But if you are here to book that tour, maybe take some battery packs and a usb fan because the cabins can get really hot at night! But the tour is absolutely amazing! Another tip for this hotel/area too is that taxis too and from this area from the bus stops is a flat 50baht per person fee, we walked the first time from the bus to the hotel with backpacks and it took us 30 mins. We got a taxi booked through this hotel on the return trip and it's about 7 mins drive to the bus stops 🙂

The room with fan was not that great. Expect mosquitoes because it is in the national park. AC room was better and spacious enough. There could be leeches also. No complimentary food. But you get free water and water tubes to enjoy time in the nearby river. They run a store just in front where you can get all the basic necessary items and smoothies for which you have to pay. The good part is they can arrange day trip or any other package from the spot at a reasonable price. You can book airport taxi Or trip packages from some other office near by at much cheaper rates.

The family that runs the place is very kind and generous. They helped us book a tour of the park which was a lot of fun

The staff that ran this accommodation were absolutely amazing - we got upgraded to a treehouse room for free which was lovely and they helped us book activities to the lake, which was ran by an amazing tour guide who gave us local knowledge about the area and took us to beautiful spots where we had a really nice lunch included in the price. We also did a night safari in the jungle which was good and tubing on the river which you did right outside the hotel, where we saw pythons, monkeys and fish (we loved this so much and only cost around a fiver!!!!) All of these together cost around £45 which is much cheaper than anything we saw online. They also have a laundry service and a small shop on site. Thank you bamboo house for an amazing stay, if we are ever on the area again we will be back!!

There are lots of bugs and we found a frog in the shower - this was not a problem for us as we LOVE nature and you’re right in the middle of it here. But keep this in mind when booking!!

We loved our stay here. The staff were so kind and informative. We loved that you can go down the river on a rubber ring- we did it with their boy and had such a laugh! Bed was comfy, they had food options, great location. Lovely little house it was so unique! Lovely balcony area

Cold shower, mosquito net didn’t really cover the bed properly which was needed since bugs and insects could crawl in through a lot of gaps in the wood

The stay was great. This is no luxury place, but i hope you dont expect luxzry for that amount of money. You get a bed, a shower, towels, a soup and tolit paper. And really great, friendly and helpfull staff. You can book your tours with them (the lake tour with Bamboo you get more to see then with other companys) They have also breakfast very cheap A beautiful garden A shop across the street 4 minutes walk from the main street and 10 minutes to the national park entrance Thank you!

Maybe a little wardrobe or some table to put the luggage I was alone in a 3 bed room so i had 1 bed as a wardrobe :)

We really felt like home there. It was very beautiful place to stay. And even though we lived in a small cottage there still was hot water in the shower. The owner and his family are very friendly and they can help you with everything. If we come back again to Khao Sok, we will definitely stay here again.

The only thing we had problem with was a trip that they arranged for us through one company. Our guide was very rude, no one understood him, he wasn’t helpful at all and he smoked cigarettes in the jungle… Of course it’s not the family’s fault, they just booked it for us… So just maybe thing twice when choosing a trip.
