We had a fantastic stay here, it’s in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by nature. Sitting by the river at breakfast was so charming. Rooms are clean but basic. The air con was a bonus. Plentiful breakfast every morning, with a varied choice. Very helpful staff, who went above and beyond for us. The lady receptionist was so kind and lovely. The staff arranged our tubing trip, which was so fun. The pool was a good size, despite the rain we did have one pool day. The hotel is right next to the national park, and a short walk to the strip full of lovely restaurants. Really loved our stay here, hopefully we’ll be back again one day.

We really don’t understand the negative reviews about insects, the pool, or the staff. We had an amazing stay. Supranee is a fantastic host. She may come across as a bit direct, but she’s genuine and caring. She gave us great tour recommendations, prepared breakfast with so much care every morning, and was always busy making sure everything was right. The garden and the pool are well-maintained with a lot of effort. It’s not easy to keep everything in such good shape in the jungle, but it all looked great. When we left, Supranee even gave us some mangosteens from her own garden. We were also allowed to check in early. Everything felt really warm. If you can’t handle insects, the jungle might simply not be the right place for you. For us, it was all part of the experience. We recommend Tree Tops River Huts and the lovely people who work there!

Some of the negative reviews seem unfair when you consider the context. This is a two-star hotel in the jungle.

We had a lovely stay here. It really felt as though we were in the heart of the jungle. We saw so much wildlife from our balcony. We had a balcony facing the river and it was so calm listening to it. The pool was lovely too we enjoyed until quite a few families and children joined and then it got a bit too crowded but was a nice swim and sunbathe beforehand. The staff were extremely friendly- they even drove us to our van station for free when were struggling to find a taxi. It was a good location - surrounded by shops and restaurants.

The electricity was a bit dodgy. We had no air con and lights for a while but then sorted it out and found that we needed to lodge the room key in a certain position to keep it on. We had not paid too much for the room so we really did not mind that this had happened.

The hotel is situated very central, close to all amenities. We never went out for dinner because this hotel serves the best food at giveaway prices. I must compliment them on the food. 10/10 Breakfast and Dinner was the highlight of our stay. The scenery was out of this world. Perfect. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. It was a pleasure to see their smiling faces every day.

Let's be honest, the rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. It shows it's age. Very basic to the point that it becomes uncomfortable. No divide between the shower and toilet, so everything ends up wet after a shower.

Loved the atmosphere, the gardens, and the staff. Way Way at the front desk was exceptionally lovely and attentive. Right at the entry to the national park and easy to arrange tours and transfers at a reasonable fee price. Also a short stroll to restaurants, bars and minimarts. The pool was lovely and room aircon was excellent.

Our bathroom needed updating, but they seem to be already in that process. Our children's room had a more modern bathroom. Breakfast was good but cold due to no heating in the bain Maries.

Great location at the entrance to the National Park. Such a beautiful and relaxing area. Super quiet at night. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly. We could book all tours at a reasonable price at the hotel. Great breakfast. Don’t leave any rubbish or food/beverages in the outside area or the monkeys will get it!

One of our rooms was double booked so some of our family had to stay in a room with shared bathroom. Hotel very apologetic about this. Pool area needs updating with bigger umbrellas for shade and new furniture.

we had a bungalow overlooking the river. From our glorious balcony overlooking the river we watched a troop of monkeys for a whole afternoon! There was a swimming pool! nice to cool off in on our arrival. Tree tops is right by the start of the trails through the rain forest . Free substantial breakfast. Good food places nearby in the village for evening meals. staff very helpful arranging trips and tours. We wished we had stayed longer.

it's not a new place so dont expect everything to be perfect .. but the location makes up for this!

great stay in the jungle. enough space in the room, spacious terrace. lovely staff, especially the lady at the reception. they helped us with 2 tours wich where really good. enough choices for breakfast. you are in the jungle so ofcourse there will be ants, bugs and little lizards in your room, but that is all part of the experience :) be aware of the monkeys, we blinked our eyes and they snatched a fried egg haha. as soon as the staff see the monkeys they do scare them away so you can enjoy your food. we definitly recommend!

We spent two nights at The River Huts, bookending our stay at the Khao Sok Lake floating house. The second night, we stayed in a bungalow right on the river, a unique and delightful experience. The staff, especially the kind receptionist from Myanmar, were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was not only delicious but also served in generous portions. The location is perfect, close to everything in the national park, and the property features a pool. Overall, it’s a quaint and cozy place I’d happily return to!

I loved my stay here!! If you are planning to visit Khao Sok national park, Tree Tops River Huts is a must-stay. I originally booked it because of the pool, but was pleasantly surprised to see that my bungalow directly overlooks the river and jungle. It’s so stunning and romantic, even as a solo traveler. As you relax and float in the pool, colourful butterflies and dragonflies fly by you. The staff are also so welcoming and warm! I have nothing but good things to say about this place, everything was perfect.
