We chose this hotel for its location within Khao Sok National Park, which is surrounded by nature. The area is full of wildlife, so there’s quite a bit of insects, but it didn’t bother me – though it might be a concern for some. The room was beautifully prepared, and the housekeeping staff clearly works hard to maintain cleanliness. There are many shops and restaurants nearby, but the hotel itself also has a restaurant, making it convenient for meals. The location is great for those looking to explore the national park and go to trips.

The reception staff, unfortunately, didn’t provide the best experience. The women at the front desk were not very friendly, which is quite unusual in Thailand. Their English was very limited, and they weren’t willing to use a translator, which could have solved communication issues. I had a health issue during my stay and wasn’t sure whether I should go to a doctor, but when I approached the reception for help, they only told me to go to a pharmacy, and that was the extent of their assistance. This lack of empathy and help was really disappointing, especially at the end of my stay. Overall, the accommodation itself was good, with a great location for exploring the area, but the reception staff could have been more pleasant and helpful.

I loved the way this place has been constructed. It gives a super tropical / rain forest vibe. Room is clean, balcony is spacious. Staff was kind. Breakfast was OK. I love how close to the nature this place is. In the near area there are plenty restaurants. Also, I highly recommend Khao Sok Elephant Sanctuary in the nearby area.

Bathroom's size was enough but like usual, there wasn't enough space to put any of your things on. Just a glass shelf so it's better not to put heavier bag on it - better not to risk it.

We had a lovely night stay here great little bungalows, by the river. The bed was comfy and clean and the room was fully equipped. We had plenty of free water given to us which we appreciated. It was only a short walk to the entrance of the national park. Breakfast included was great even saw monkeys across the river.

It didn’t bother us but was a little noisy with the wildlife and a nearby bar. There was a lizard in the room at one point but again didn’t bother us🤣

At River Lodge our room was spacious and it was clean. The river runs up one side of the hotel and we were lucky as we had a room with a great view over the river from our balcony. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, they served a good breakfast and sorted out trips and transfers etc for us. Thankyou to everyone, We loved our 3 night stay so close to the national park. We enjoyed a day trip to the lake organised easily at the hotel's reception and also spent a day independent walking in the lush green forest to small waterfalls. I highly recommend spending a few days here.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious and clean with a nice view of the river that runs along side it where you can kayak and tube down, which looked fun. The beds in the room were comfortable and the black out curtains helped create a great nights sleep. There was also air con in the room. The staff were incredible and kind. They organised our day trip to the national park and provided us with a dry bag which included towels, waters and head torches. It was very straightforward and easy. The breakfast was basic but very tasty. The town itself is lovely and very relaxed, there's a handful of bars and restaurants to visit all in a short walking distance.

Most staff was kind, reception could improve. Also book your tours in advance, somewhere else maybe. They do not provide any tour information in advance, but you must expect most tours still to be fully booked last minute. Cost us more effort to book tours via other hotels/hostels, which I think the hotel could be more transparent about (especially at this price point).

The hotel is super cute and gives you a feeling you’re in the jungle. Our room faced a beautiful river. The location is on the main street with a bunch of restaurants and cafes. You can book a bunch of activities through the hotel for great prices which is really convenient. We chose tubing in the river which was amazing (!) and also did a night safari in the park which was awesome.

The location is perfect! Right in the center of Khao Sok, and close to the entrance of the national park. Houses/cabins were very nice! I loved the bridge that sort of led us through the jungle. Also very friendly staff!

Only thing that would’ve made the stay even better was if there was a nice place to swim (either in the river or in a pool).

The location is amazing, there are so many restaurants, bars, the entrance of the park is just a few meters away. The hotel has tour offers, they were nicely organised. We loved the monkeys around the hotel. The breakfast was delicious. The room was clean.

Very friendly staff, Snook and May are awesome! They helped us to have an amazing experience in Khao Sok. Hotel location is great and breakfast is decent. You can also feel a little bit like in forest. Highly recommend.
