The owners and the staff of Palmview are absolutely amazing, they were the sweetest most helpful people and they really made our stay! Even taking us to the bus station when our taxi didn’t come, genuinely lovely people :)

We loved staying here - the location felt so secluded and really ‘in’ the jungle yet it was also a 10 min walk to town. It’s a family run business and from the moment we arrived we felt so welcome and it was a very warm environment. Kong and Jeab helped us to book a day tour of the lake which was really fun and also a minivan to our next stop. We also had a lunch and breakfast there which was delicious and well priced. We had air con in our room which was welcome in the April heat but we also loved sitting on the balcony listening to the nature all around us! We stayed two nights and had the best time - thanks to Kong and his family!

Nothing! Of course don’t expect extreme luxury but it was perfect for us.

A really welcoming team here who made sure you felt right at home. A lovely reception area with books and games and places to chill. 2 gorgeous resident well behaved dogs and a more elusive cat. The jungle huts are just great, in the jungle with the sounds of cicadas, geese, cockerels and monkeys as part of the package. The rooms are basic, with a fan, mosquito net and bathroom. Not a lot of room to put your belongings in the smaller rooms but for the low season price this is hardly a worry if you are only staying a few nights. The team booked the overnight lake trip for me and there is a nice short cut through the jungle to the main village with lots of places to eat and drink. Loved it here.

really nice peaceful location, with a great shortcut way to the town and national park, surrounded by the palms the resort is offering homemade food, table tenis, there are monkeys, cats, dogs, chickens hanging out around note: if you are not used to the nature sounds, especially at night - this might not be the place for you

overall would be good to have a possibility to charge your phone and keep it within the mosquito net, as well as it would be good to have bedside lamp/or a camping light, a hamoc on the terrace would make it even more perfect side note to the hosts: in bungalow 14 the toilet flush was not working properly, as well as some of the lights were not working bungalow no.11 and 14 were perfect

Great value for money! We only stayed for the night before going to the lake but we had delicious dinner, the hosts were very kind, knew good English and we had good communication! They helped us with our luggage and they also helped out another girl, who arrived in the morning, to go on a lake tour on the same day. They are great! The lobby area is very relaxing to hang out. Also, if you see a spider in the room do not hesitate to ask for their help! They immediately came and took care of it :D

The bungalow could be sealed a bit better because a spider got in…Although, we have no idea from where as we couldn’t see any gaps anywhere.. Spiders are our biggest fear as you can understand from my review! BUT our “guest pet” is completely understandable as the location is in the jungle. It was in its habitat! :)

This is a really friendly and lovely place to stay. The location is great, a short walk through the back to the main road and entrance to national park. Its so peaceful and lovely. The staff are incredibly friendly, and very welcoming, helping you with anything you need. The room is basic but nice. Ideal spot to do tours from and good value for money.

The breakfast was not good. I think the tours are a mixed bag. We did the two day lake tour which was great but could have lived without Night Safari. I think if you know Thailand and tours then you probably know what to expect. If you're just going to do one I would go with the Lake.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles that made us feel right at home. The owners and their family were incredibly kind, polite, and always willing to help. Our room was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The town itself is charming and has all the essentials a visitor might need, like mini-marts and restaurants. On our last day, we unfortunately missed our coach, but the owner went out of their way to help us book a new one and even drove us to the bus station. We truly enjoyed our stay. My kids especially loved the table tennis table, and the location was ideal, with plenty of wildlife to spot in the area. Thank you for a fantastic stay—I’d highly recommend this place to others!

Nothing not to like

Top location in a wonderful palm forest. We arrived at 5:30 am and were greeted by our friendly host. The rooms are functional, some of them don't have AC, but all are well equipped with mosquito nets, fans, and a terrace/balcony to enjoy the beautiful view. If you are lucky, you can spot monkeys in the nearby palm trees. Breakfast and hot meals are served throughout the day and are very tasty! The owner and staff are very very friendly and help with every question or tour reservation. It's a 10 minute walk to the main street with restaurants and shops, and a 15 minute walkt to the entrace of the National Park. We enjoyed our stay very much and would always come back and recommend!

Kong and his family were great hosts. Even before our arrival, Kong provided us with all the information and helped us book a two-day trip at the bungalows on the lake. Sleeping at Khaosok Palmview resort was a special experience, as the rooms (bungalows) are surrounded by palm trees, where there are lots of animals (in the morning we were woken up by monkeys jumping on the palm trees). The rooms are large and clean. There is a shortcut through the forest from the bungalows to the town. After finishing the two-day trip on the lake, Kong helped us organize transportation to Krabi town. We waited for the transportation at the resort, where they have a corner with loungers at the reception. The food at the resort is excellent and affordable.

Lovely peaceful site at the edge of the National Park. Owned and managed by a friendly and welcoming couple that helped us organize activities with local guides (we would highly recommend hiking through the park, both during the day and night). There is a shortcut to the main road that reaches the village and national park in about 5 minutes, much shorter than how it appears on maps. A surprise visit by macaques during our last morning was a nice bonus :)

The lack of AC makes staying in the room during a hot day quite uncomfortable, but that's an extra reason to spend the day in the park. In the night, the fans are more than enough to keep the room comfortably cool.
